Life changing - as a marathon runner, I have had two years of injuries that would not heal, went to every MD specialist + PT with minimal results. I had to eventually stop running which was devastating as my shins were constantly in pain and calves swollen even from walking. I wish I went sooner to Craig! He listened to exactly why I was there, he was engaging during the massage to really understand all the different tension points, and also uses a mix of hands and tools and holistic body approach explaining all the different connectivity points. Just after 3 sessions, I felt an incredible difference after 2 years of attempted recovery - finally a lightness in my legs. Most importantly, Craig is very respectful and careful in his hand placements and movements, and as a female, I feel very comfortable and am able to relax. I've been going regularly for a year now, and continuously feel better and better each session (for all kinds of body aches and injuries). Highly recommend, especially for runners and athletes! read more

Craig is amazing and massage therapy, he really focuses on the conversation about what is bothering you, discusses the plan to address the issue, and asks lots of check-in questions during the session. I had debilitating back pain and he helped me so so much, any time I have a flair up Craig is able to help me a lot. read more

Craig And Bruce are great! I've been going to CDF for years, and I can't believe I haven't left a review! Both Craig and Bruce are great! (As you can see from other reviewers) Both listen to what ales/troubles you, and both give good massages! read more

If you have a never-ending tweak in your body, that doesn't seem to get better....run...if you can, don't walk to Craig! Since late October 2020 I had, what I would call, a "tweak" in my lower back that my much beloved day-to-day massage therapist could not massage away - she even suggested finding someone with a deeper level of training. Eventually, I went to a chiropractor, who told me it was also muscular, which then prompted me to start looking for a therapeutic massage place that truly engages in bodywork on the next level. I turned to the trusted internet, found out about a thing called "neuromuscular massage" and then asked Yelp to help find me someone in Boston, who knew such a thing. Because I like to be thorough, the week before my upcoming appointment with Craig, for the tweak I have had for 7 months, and while annoying, it was a manageable tweak, I helped carry two BBQ grills to the 5th floor of a brownstone roof deck, aggravating said tweak to the point that I could not get up from a flat position without rolling on my side and pushing myself out of bed, the first few steps I had to take hunched over until some stretching would take the edge off. If you are still with me, stay! We are almost there. So far, I had two appointments with Craig and people, it's been truly remarkable. I would have been delighted and *mind blown* if he had restored me to pre-BBQ carrying condition, level: pre-BBQ tweak, but within a day or two after the first massage, while still tender, even that tweak from October 2020 was dissipating. I was able to PLANK. I mean, I could only hold it for 20 seconds - thanks pandemic laziness, but I couldn't even plank before because my lower back was all "hell no". A week later, on the second massage, Craig was able to go into the problem areas deeper and really work on deeper triggers. Again, improvements continue for the days after the massage. Oh. And while at it, he's also taken my "hunched over laptop forever tight shoulders" and restored them to some kind of "walking upright human" posture. So yes. Run, walk, crawl, or be carried to Craig. CDF Therapeutic is true bodywork and the results speak for themselves. read more

I've been seeing Craig for almost 10 years, and he is by far the best massage therapist I've ever had! He is professional, knowledgeable, and always attentive to my needs. Over the years, he has helped me with issues like sprains, tightness, and pain. Craig is trustworthy and consistently delivers an exceptional experience every time. Plus, he has a very interesting taste in music that makes each session even more enjoyable. I highly recommend him! read more

This place is legit! Went in to see Craig because of a pain around my knee. He was terrific. Tested different movements to find the root cause and worked through my overused, tight muscles to relieve the pain. I don't live on BOS but I will make CDF part of my routine when I'm in town. read more

If you are in need of an amazing massage with an experienced professional who uses his brain as much as he uses his hands, then you definitely want to see Craig! You can tell him a few quick facts and then he gets to work on the exact areas of stress or tension. His welcoming, low-key style instantly puts you at ease. He can accommodate his style to yours. Want a deep tissue experience? He doesn't hold back. Want something gentler? He can deliver the perfect amount of pressure. I've consistently left feeling relaxed, energized, and taken care of. And it is all thanks to Craig's skills, personality, and all-around commitment to making sure you have a great experience. Thanks so much, Craig; already looking forward to the next massage! read more

After trying different massages in town (and around the world), GOD was so good and finally I met CRAIG FAUCHER. By far THE best massage therapist in town. He has great knowledge about the body muscles and its mechanics. I couldn't get rid of my back and neck pain (I was having head aches) and Craig helped me to get rid of it after few sessions. Now, I continue visiting for the joy of having a great massage. read more

Craigs methodology includes one of the most important things about muscular therapy and massage, which so few therapists do. Asking questions. He was able to figure out that I was having displaced pain in my shoulders, and worked areas that I didn't think would even help some upper back pain. A few hours later and the pain had subsided, after he worked out knots in my shoulders and back using various techniques. The space in which he works is comfortable and relaxing, and he's very easy to get a hold of to schedule appointments. Too bad Yelp doesn't allow 5+ stars. read more

So, I went to see Craig last week. The massage was nice, as always, and I got to say hello to his pet fish, "Red Fish." After leaving, I realized I was in SUCH a better mood. I got kinda freaked out! I was saying "Hi!" or smiling at people who I don't know, and if you're in Boston, you know that ain't normal. I was feeling all peaceful, and didn't even grumble at the parents and new undergrads who were clogging the Green Line... WTF!? Craig must have found all my secret hateful zones and massaged away all the tension because I'm normally a much less-plesant person ;) read more

If you want a massage that literally will change your life, this is the place. Craig's knowledge of what the body needs is almost supernatural. I was working here in Boston for three weeks, chose Craig from Yelp, and returned three times. The environment is professional but relaxed and friendly. He actually alleviated a major rotator cuff issue within two sessions. I highly recommend Craig, especially if you get massages frequently. read more

I've been going to see Craig for 6 months. Working with him has greatly improved my well-being. He's worked with me to improve my health and mood. His space is nice and cozy, with nice lighting from a cute courtyard. Though the walls between rooms may be a bit then, you don't notice other clients around you. I fully recommend Craig to all my friends, and those looking for a very qualified and professional massage therapist. read more

This was the least relaxing massage I've ever had in my life - and I mean that in the best way possible. After fracturing my tibia about a year ago, I still have lingering joint pain in my hips, and almost constant low back pain. Physical therapy and regular chiropractor visits just weren't doing it, so I found Craig - and in just 30 minutes he managed to find the exact sources of the pain and give them what-for. When I left, I felt like I had a brand-new body. I will be going back, regularly, and can't wait to live a pain-free existence! read more

I would like to thank Mr. Craig Faucher of CDF Therapeutic Bodywork/Craig Faucher Massage... I sprained my ankle running months ago and have had what was thought to be a bone spur in my heal which has made it hard for me to train at all or even walk... I was beginning to think surgery was my only option, until Yesterday... when he worked some major magic on my foot and legs and it hasn't hurt since... As a professional athlete I have had countless people work on my feet and legs including physical therapists and no one has given me results like he did. I highly recommend his services and I know I will be going to him on a regular basis... read more

After 3 months of intense half marathon training and the usual wear and tear of my job, I had a pulled hamstring and a knot in my shoulder that was making me miserable. I called last minute and luckily Craig had an evening cancellation and was able to work me in (there's an easy online booking tool on their website). Craig greeted me and asked me what brought me in and then did an assessment of my injuries to figure out the best way to proceed. I'm sure he can do a massage for relaxation, but this was a true sports massage. He really focused on the areas which I came in for which has always been a frustration with other massage therapists. I left feeling amazing! I practice yoga so I usually feel like that's enough to keep my body working properly, but after my massage I realize I need to see Craig at least once a month to keep things working. Had an amazing night of sleep last night!! read more

My husband and I went to see Craig after a two year hiatus from getting a massage and he quickly reminded us why it should be a regular thing. Craig is clearly skilled and was able to employ some serious (and I mean SERIOUS) deep tissue massage to me and a not-so-deep massage to my other half. Now one week later, both of us have been raving about the benefits....a less sore back and a more flexible neck. On top of a fantastic massage, Craig is a nice guy who we felt completely comfortable with. read more

Craig is the best bodywork specialist I've ever come across. I've had chronic shoulder pain for years, and have tried all sorts of remedies--yoga, swimming, chiropractors, weight-lifting, and ordinary massage--without any of them having much effect for more than a few hours. After a few minutes of exercises and thoughtful questions, Craig was able to pinpoint what he thought was the problem, and within a few minutes after our first session, I suddenly seemed to have more space in my shoulder than I had had in years. I then visited Craig about once or twice a week for about a month, for short sessions (15 mins), during which he'd massage my neck and rub down various tendons around my shoulder. Now my shoulders are feeling as close as they've ever been to normal, and I can swim, lift weights, and do yoga more comfortably and with more strength than I could before. Craig strikes just the right balance in every way: his techniques are forceful but never aggressive or agony-inducing, and he's super friendly without being pushy or intrusive. Highly recommended!! read more

After only one 1 visit, Craig Faucher rates as 5 stars hands down! His approach to finding and treating the pain rates as outstanding - especially after trying many of the other 'top-spots' in town (i.e. Newbury Street, Back Bay, etc.) - who just left me wondering what all the hype was about. Others may sell themselves as the best, but Craig is quickly establishing himself as a true BEST IN BOSTON! Do yourself a favor and make an appointment! read more

Not only am I a colleague, I am a client.. a devoted one to be precise. To say that Craig knows his stuff is an understatement. He is intuitive, has FANTASTIC hands and does this amazing therapeutic stretching thing that makes you feel like 6 inches taller that you were walking in. Go See Craig. You will be so happy you did. read more

I just had a fantastic massage session with Sergey Yurov. As a Yoga teacher and a competitive adult figure skater, I am very picky with finding a good massage therapist whom I am comfortable with. I had been trying to find one whom I can work with in Boston, but had no luck. My first massage session with Sergey was great - I am going back for sure. His deep tissue massage is skillful, instead of forceful like some massage therapists. He fished around to find different positions and different approaches to take care of me - greatly appreciated! I felt refreshed and comfortably sore in a very good way after the session. His flexibility for scheduling a session works really well for me. I am looking forward to meeting him again soon! read more

My neck has been an effed up disaster area for two years. Went to see Craig, and now it's not. 'Nuff said.

I have been seeing Craig for about 2 years now- and I have seen Sandy a couple of times before also. They are both so knowledgeable in deep tissue massage and sports injuries. I have injured my shoulder and neck area working out, and they have really helped me recover from those pulled muscles. As corny as it sounds they coax the pain out of your muscles! The location is very professional and friendly and not intimidating at all. I highly recommend both of them read more

Yay! Now that I know Yelp probably won't delete my review (they don't tell their users or businesses, but users who only have one review will have their postings ELIMINATED without warning or explanations) I am happy to post a 5 star review for Craig Faucher and everyone that works for him at CDF Therapeutic Bodywork. The most important things about Craig that set him apart are the fact that he is extremely results-oriented in his approach to treating you, and he is passionate about doing a good job for his clients. During the [full hour - not 50 minute] session Craig will hunt down the cause of problems you may not even realize your body has, and take aim at them with as many techniques and tools as it takes to make an improvement. What he charges is extremely reasonable compared with other therapists in the area, showing he is as committed to his profession and his clients as he is to operating a sustainable and successful business. BTW, if you call Craig and end up with one of his other therapists, don't worry; you are in good hands. I have been treated by others at CDF besides Craig, and I feel that Craig makes very good and careful choices about who he allows to work on his clients. So skip a dinner out every once in a while and go see Craig, and then tell everyone you know how different it is from going to a spa. It's not throwing $$ away on "pampering." It's a worthwhile investment. read more

Booking an appointment was incredibly easy. The studio is easy to find, clean, very comfortable and stylish. Craig was awesome. A definite therapist of the body, he worked on my issue areas and I appreciated the communication he had with me, asking me to let him know when he was in the effected areas. The issue I went in with after a good nights sleep, it was mostly gone. He did a wonderful job, well worth the price and highly recommended! read more

I went to see Craig for neck and back pain leading to headaches after researching massage therapists in the Boston area. He was not only knowledgeable and thorough but also easy to talk to. I have a better understanding of my specific issues and will be returning for additional therapy. Positive first massage experience! read more

Hands down one of the best massages I've had. Had a 90 minute massage with Craig. Without me even telling him about shoulder pain I recently developed (had started only a couple days prior to massage and wasn't bothering me enough to say anything) he mentioned it within the first few minutes. Great place if you want a masseuse who can help diagnose just by touch. Pressure was great-- I prefer harder pressure. It was the perfect mix of relaxation / sports massage. Would highly recommend. read more

Craig is very good, and exceptionally-priced. He is a body-mechanic, in a way. Provided substantial relief my lingering knee issues as well as lower-back-pain. Night & day difference stepping into & out of the office. read more

I recently started seeing Craig for some back and running-related issues. Being a serious lover of massages, I can say that Craig is by far the most talented therapist I have met. His clinical skills are impressive- his thorough understanding of the body allows him to find all of the spots that need help, even when you can't point him in the right direction. He takes the time to fully understand your particular needs and his formulation of your problem is thoughtful and tailored to you, making the treatment a sure success. My pain is much improved, and Its refreshing to find a skilled bodyworker who you trust can get you feeling better! I definitely recommend adding Craig to your health and wellness routine. read more

I called Craig about 2 months ago when I was having some back pain and he has helped me tremendously. I'm not someone who suffers from serious chronic pain or who indulges in regular massages, but these weekly appointments have changed my opinion of what is possible from regular visits to a competent massage therapist. We agreed to a series of regular sessions and then to revisit a longer-term plan. He is very pleasant, trustworthy and exudes confidence. These are deep tissue massages, very powerful and yet very satisfying. Each session is different, which keeps things interesting. He always suggests icepacks and stretching in the days that follow, advice which I believe has also helped. He is easy to engage in conversation about the work he's doing on my body, which illustrates he is knowledgeable and very well trained. I plan to continue with periodic sessions, and I would certainly recommend Craig to anyone who is looking for a serious massage therapist. read more

Craig did an absolutely stand out job for delivering a perfect massage for myself and all my relatives. Craig is unique in that he really cares a lot about his clients. He provides a complete diagnosis of where you stand and the areas he will be working on. Service is top notch at his venue. What really drew me to Craig is the consistency and top quality of the massages I received from Craig. He has earned my business in a very competitive industry where he was able to differentiate himself with his sense of hospitality and superior knowledge of the multiple pressure points around the neck and the back. Responsiveness, professionalism, and flexibility was never an issue. Whether it was about booking my appointment or follow up with a question, Craig always takes the time to get back to me and provides me with the best possible answer versus a good enough answer. , I can wholly attest that I received the experience I paid for. The value for the massage is apparent from start to finish. I am so happy I chose Craig for my massage needs! read more

I've seen Bruce a handful of times now over the span of a year. He's amazing. I see him for therapeutic deep tissue massage and he has never disappointed. I've found that when seeing a massage therapist for an extended period of time, they can be inconsistent with the quality of service. I don't fault them for that - they're only human. But, not Bruce! He's so consistent with the level of care and attention he provides I'm so grateful. It's a bit pricey and I would normally try to find something in a better price range but it's worth every time. Thanks Bruce!!!!! read more

Love the 1 1/2 massage. I've gotten lots of different types of massages but when I go to Craig I feel like I'm getting more than a massage, it's more like physical theraphy. He knows where to find those pesky knots in your back and with a strong hand works them out, yeah, it's sometimes painful but if you breathe you'll feel great afterwards. read more

I have had A LOT of massages all over the country, and in some of the finest spas. I'm done. Sergei has made the most progress on my chronic neck/ back tension of any previous therapist. I can't wait to return. So greatful to be able to move my neck again! read more

My daughter (who lives in San Francisco) gave me a massage with Craig as a Mother's day gift...based on her extensive internet research. I rarely get professional massages, although i need them...being an aging dancer/choreographer/ teacher. Craig did an extensive history and checked out various aspects of my body mechanics before I even got on the table. He found the chronic trouble spots right away and gave me some serious deep tissue massage. I went back two more times within about six weeks. The last time, my body was feeling so balanced and relatively pain-free that I asked him for something gentler. He did exactly what I asked for. When I am back to performing and teaching more, I'm sure I will return for Craig's expertise. read more

Their masseuse, Sergey, is wonderful. He listens to your needs - which areas need extra attention, where to avoid - and he really gets the stress out of my muscles. I highly recommend them! read more

CDF Therapeutic Bodywork was recommended to me a couple of years ago by a physical therapist at Kennedy Brothers in Back Bay. He suggested massage as a therapy for dealing with the after-effects of a vehicle accident - lingering neck pain. To be honest, up until my first visit to Craig I had always considered massage as more of a "spa" treatment than a therapeutic treatment. I've been visiting Craig ever since as my "go-to" massage therapist. The great thing about his style is that it works for either relaxation (more of the "spa" type of thing) OR for therapy (to address specific muscle issues). I highly recommend him for anything you may need from stress management to addressing specific instances of pain, etc. He's very comprehensive with researching exactly what you're trying to address with the visit, instead of just giving you a "one-massage-fits-all" type of treatment. 5-stars! read more

Craig is an excellent massage therapist. I came in with an old hamstring injury, and thanks to his skill and commitment, I am back to running and yoga nearly pain-free. The setting is lovely and calming, and Craig is always researching new and innovative approaches to his work. I highly recommend him for everyone from athletes rehabbing or just maintaining performance to just those looking for an excellent relaxing treatment. read more

Craig gave me an excellent massage three weeks ago. I have been training for a 8mile trail race and really needed help working out my sore and tight muscles. His therapeutic approach to massage is thoughtful and knowledgeable. Craig focused on my trouble spots, stretched me out and gave me a great all around massage. I felt great and his massage really made a difference in my recovery...I had a great race! Thanks Craig! read more

Craig worked miracles on my neck and upper back; I had been suffering a pins and needles sensation in my arms and legs after a long run and he helped release all of my tension.
