Highly recommend this place. My wife booked me a 75 minute massage for only $105. (If you pay cash, you get a decent discount. $105 was based off cash. Not sure how much it would have been if I paid by card) I had Jen and she was amazing. Asked what she should focus on, decent pressure, asked if the pressure was good, and very professional. Hot stones were also provided. Definitely recommend asking for her. This place is fairly new. They relocated from Down the street. Very clean and well maintained. Definitely a good spot, especially being on Dorchester Ave. Reasoning for 4 stars instead of 5? 20% tip is automatic. Save your breath and time, they expect a 20% tip, no questions asked. Wow I was about to cancel my Classpass, but the massage I got here is making me reconsider. I just had a really amazing and relaxing 45 minute massage from Apple, and she was GREAT. In those 45 minutes she was able to massage me head to toe and very thoroughly without hurting me at all, which tends to be an issue a lot but I didn't have to tell her to be gentle at all. ALSO they have heating pads on the massage bed so I was warm and cozy the entire time, and it enhanced the experience for me. There's complimentary water and candy in the front and it's very clean. I think the price is amazing for what's offered and the quality of the massage. The only thing is the rooms aren't sound proof, but truthfully that doesn't bother me at all and (people say a few words in the other room and then carry on with the massage). I did not get the name of my massage therapist, but she was incredibly thorough and attentive. They do give the option to step on your back (not for the faint of heart, but I personally love it). I opted for a 60-minute combination massage. She applied the perfect amounts of varying pressure. The hot stone massage at the end was also amazing. Last but not least, the prices are incredible. Tranquility! Space is lovely, clean and very peaceful. And close to me! Chloe is an angel from heaven. Her feet and elbows brought me extreme peace. I had a GREAT massage with Jan. This was my first massage since the pandemic, so not only was it necessary, I wanted to support a local, immigrant-owned business that really felt pandemic impacts. I called for an appointment, and they were able to take me same day. In addition to the typical massage, Jan did a great job working out all my knots. She could feel everything as soon as she touched me and really took her time working out the knots. She also used hot stones and this finishing menthol-like rub that smells so good. I used to go to a different Thai spa and have had many Thai massages in the past so I feel like I speak from experience when I say Emma provided an exceptional massage. I have had sciatica pain in my left leg for about a month now and she focused on that part of my body first but also treated the rest of my body after. I recently decided to give Healing Thai Spa a chance this past week after seeing their Grand Opening sign post-lockdown. I can honestly say, after trying various massage places like NYC Chinatown spas to the couples retreat at Mandarin Oriental, that Healing Thai Spa gave one of the *best* massages I have ever received. My masseuse, Paula, was very professional and accommodating, offering bottled water right as I entered and directing me to the bathroom if needed. During my full body massage, she was able to work through every problem area with ease and at times, explained where I was holding a lot of tension. Her attention to detail really made me feel like I was getting a good bang for my buck as she undid knots, making me feel like a brand new person at the end. It also helped that her mixture of massage oils/lotion and tiger balm made me feel cool and refreshed. A great reprieve from the summer heat! The rooms were very clean and the sheets she had me lay on smelled freshly washed. The relaxing music she played was entrancing and the room was well air conditioned. I asked Paula for a medium pressure integrated Thai Massage. 90 minutes passes too fast. Many days later, my muscles still feel much less tense. Towards the end, the attention paid to stretching shoulders, fingers, hips, feet and toes, left me feeling renewed, my fingers especially. Came in for a massage and staff recommended The Thai combination massage (which I have had in the past). Now I understand for these massages they do use their feet on your back but my massage therapist seemed to be rushing as it did not feel pleasant At All. Unfortunately even her hands felt uncomfortable and rushed! I should have ended the massage early but I stayed throughout the hour. Here I am almost a week later getting sharp intense pain on my shoulders and neck (most likely from her feet). I have had massages my entire adult life and I never make her reviews, this is actually my first one just to warn others considering going to this spa. The pain has gotten progressively worse so I'm actually considering going to the ER tonight just to get my back checked out. :( I think upon arrival they should consult with clients more just to see what massage would work best for them or properly manage their time so they are not rushed! read more
