When I go in and tell him about what areas hurt or need attention, he always listens and makes sure to address those issues. I have tried other massage therapist based on personal recommendations, but none have been able to match Marco's skills and commitment to his profession. Marco listens to you and he listens to your body. When I first went to see Marco I had only worked with women massage therapist in the past. I was a little nervous, but my shoulders were a wreck from AutoCAD (computer drafting) and I needed help. What I found in Marco was someone who listened to what I did for 8 hours a day, understood how those muscles can be tweaked and could work well with them. In all these years Marco has had to fix some serious knots, tweaks, crunches I made while working on deadlines. This last trip has prompted my review. Wow!!!!! That's my feeling during and at the end of my sessions with Marco. My body feels rejuvenated and light. The 60 minutes session is always relaxing and never boring. I'm a veteran of over 25 years of getting massages. I've gone to the "massage chains", hotels, 5 star resorts; here and all over the world and I must say Marco is the BEST! I have been a regular client of Marco's for 8 years and he has NEVER disappointed. I can't say the same for some of the pricier places, even right here in the Bay Area. His knowledge and use of various techniques is unequaled but his care and his concern for his clients, even outweighs that. Marco truly takes pride in his work and wants what's best for his clients and always puts their needs and health first. I always tease him and ask why he isn't working for one of those highly touted spas that charge $150 -$200 an hour for a mere 50 minutes! But I know from my own corporate jobs that those places exact their pound of flesh on their employees without allowing them some input and autonomy in dealing with their clients. Marco's personal touch is just what we need and he takes his time in speaking with you before and after to educate you on things you can do to enhance your health and listen to our own concerns. I always, always, ALWAYS (did I say always?) leave feeling 10x better than I did before the massage and believe me, Marco should get the Purple Heart for the work needed to be done on my many knots and jacked-up neck and shoulders! As happy as I am after the massage, I always have a twinge of guilt as if I haven't paid him enough or tipped him enough, although he insists it's more than enough. Marco is a really skilled massage therapist and so professional. He has a very healing touch and great intuition. I have been to other massage therapists who were mechanically great, but lacked the intuitive healing touch. I have tight hips. To really get into my hips and work on them can be awkward and uncomfortable. I have had massage therapists who were too squeamish work my hips and others who seemed to relish in it too much. I have been going to Marco fro couple of years now and he knows how to remove all the stress I accumulate. I usually go for a full body massage. The first time I booked for a deep tissue and now I do not even say what kind anymore I think he does a mix of deep tissue and Swedish. Not only he massages me but he also stretch my body.
