Peter is an incredibly skilled, intuitive therapist who delivers some of the best massages you'll ever have, especially if you need focused work on problem areas like the neck, shoulders, or back. His combination of massage, reflexology, and acupuncture training gives him a deep awareness of how the whole body fits together, and it really shows in each session. He seems to "just know" what your body needs with minimal explanation. Strongly recommend for ongoing care, especially if you deal with chronic tension or specific pain patterns in the neck, back, or shoulders. read more

Amazing!!! Best in Walnut Creek. Peter is honestly the best, he's so knowledgeable and can give a great massage. I've been going here for 10 years now and I just can't say enough wonderful things. The place is super clean and the foot massage is my favorite. Peter does acupuncture too, I haven't tried it, but I'm sure he's amazing. Easy to book your appointment on line.Oh, the building has tons of parking in their own parking lot and on top of that it's FREE!!. Yesterday was my second appointment with Peter. He is extremely knowledgeable! I get regular massages, chiropractic care and see a physical therapist almost once a year for various issues. Peter is amazing how he knows what to do and give suggestions on home care. read more

Peter is MAGIC! I have been dealing with plantar fasciitis and he gives the best reflexology to help with my foot pain. He is so knowledgeable about the body and how things are all connected. Even though my appointment was for reflexology he asked if he could work on my back for some of the appointment and I'm so glad he did. I feel relief all over. He really is amazing! Peter and Cher always amaze me on how knowledgeable they are on the body and everything related to the body. I always learn new things about my own body which is a bonus. When no one else could heal my physical issues they always could and were able to recommend plans and things I needed to change to keep injury away. They really do want to heal you so you do not keep coming in. I am so thankful I found them about six years ago. read more

Peter is amazing! He definitely knows what he's doing and works wonders on your body!

This is the BEST massage shop in Walnut Creek and in the area by far. Shere and Peter and Johnie are really skilled at reflexolgy foot massage and body massage. It is located off LOCUST avenue and they work pretty much seven days per week from 10am to 9pm or so. Their prices are not the cheapest in town but they are still really good and you get what you pay for. Rather than simply having your feet and or body "rubbed" these folks use their years of experience and expertise to provide you the best experience that will make you feel better and healthier. My wife and I go regularly and recently I brought my elderly parents who had some foot issues. Shere and Peter worked wonders. read more

I made an account specially to give this place a review. A massage place is intended for one to relax. Ever since I called to make an appointment for my mom, an Asian lady answered the phone. She went from being rude, cold, uninterested, to a complete bitch. She said: make up your mind on when you want to come in because we have very few masseuses. I was just trying for them to be open to the idea that my mom doesn't drive and that she would be a few minutes late in case she couldn't catch the bus on time. Please don't give this place the time of day. We are paying for a service and customer service should be excellent since the minute one calls to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, I had bought their coupon already. Nest time I will make sure to call in first to check availability. Reconsider your customer service staff members! Since you like tips so much...and demand it at times. read more

I really like this place and the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the fact that sometimes they leave in the middle of massage to answer phone or attend to another customer. With that said I think this is the best massage place in Walnut Creek even better than fancy places that charge over $100 an hour. My favorite CMT is Peter but everyone else is good as well but Peter is amazing! read more

Bought a Living Social certificate. definition of their website of a relaxing therapeutic massage: "Incorporates a variety of techniques including, myofascial release, acupressure, deep tissue, and sports therapeutic. " Yet, Cher tried to charge me an extra $10...pretty underhanded. She said that deep tissue is not included, yet on the living social cert there was no limitation and on their personal website, the definition above was given. I called Living Soc Cust Srvc and they concurred with my discovery. Plus Cher doesn't know how to listen on the phone. She talks over the customer. I pointed it out, but it's ingrained. Sketchy place. So, I got a refund. read more

Cher is terrific! She has restored motion in my ankle that was lost during a break a long time ago. I didn't think it was possible but she did it. Because I can feel the difference and because it has given me better balance, I will continue to visit her to keep my body in shape. read more

These guys are the real deal. If you have a foot problem, this is the place. They have fixed my plantar fasciitis, my swollen knee issue and a top of the foot problem. Since I jog and play tennis, I am prone to knee and foot issues but one or two sessions and the problem is resolved. read more

Probably the worst one I've been to. The lady in front was nice however they took more ppl than the staff available. I was supposed to have an hour and it was shorten. I would not recommend. Other ones I've been to, turn you around to massage back, they did not do. There was two of us and we agreed it was not good. Don't like to post negative reviews. However I would like to know if its bad too. :) read more

i have been here over twenty times and have nothing but positive and words to say about Peter and the staff. Peter was able to help me get back on my feet after a full reconstructive foot surgery. I was told i would suffer for the rest of my life by more than 3 doctors. Peter said he would try to help with breaking down my scar tissue and getting back some of my movement. I am a professional skateboarder, so i put a lot of abuse on my body. Peter is always there to help me out and get me feeling good again. By far the best massage ive ever had and i have had hundreds of them across the world. thanks 1521 reflexology. -corey read more

What a hidden gem! And a deal at that! My girlfriends and I have had a couple of gatherings here. Cher and Peter were very accommodating as 7 of us girls rotated through treatments (feet and body massages). We brought appetizers and wine along with us and it felt like our own personalized "spa" party. More recently we did a quick 30 minute foot massage (wine in tow again) right before heading to happy hour at any of the nearby restaurants. Such an inexpensive "getaway" and great time to bond with friends. We will definitely make ourselves "regulars" here! read more

09/01/11 Updating my review from a year ago from 4 to 5 stars. Should have done this awhile ago. Have continued to visit Peter and Cher's shop atleast once a month in the interim. Since then, Cher has completely transformed their new space into a modern, lovely, high end spa-like environment. Service is great as usual - now the space enhances the experience even futher. This is Real Reflexology - not like the other store fronts popping up in malls in response to the recent trend. If you want the benefits of a professional Refloxology experience, go to 1521. 08/10 I have been visiting Peter and Cher's Walnut Creek location for about a year and half. (I understand they have a Lafayette store now, too.) I certainly agree with Sylvia R.'s review that Peter is awesome. He has extensive knowledge of body mechanics and combined with his attentiveness and intuition has cured my body of a variety of ills - plantar facsiitis, an ankle problem that my podiatrist gave up on and general hip/low back pain. I continue to visit for general relaxation and to enjoy the kindness of Cher, Peter and their staff. Prices are very reasonable . They are in the process of opening a new space and expanding next to their current one. Cher has done a lovely job of decorating it and creating a warm environment in which to relax. Their buiness is down an odd little sidewalk off of Locust so you have to know to look for the Sandwich board sign they keep on the main sidewalk. They have built a nice business for themselves and are frequently booked solid and receiving numerous walk ins when I am there. Word of mouth has definately built up their cleint base. I have introduced my friends and family to them and all have been pleased. I highly recommend 1521 Reflexology. read more

Peter is awesome, he is one of the only people that uses enough pressure. If you have issues with wimpy massages, I highly recommend him!

I went today with my girlfriend. She had Johnny and I was not even introduced to the woman who did my massage. She was very inattentive and didn't seem to mind that she was clearly hurting me as I would clench my face every few minutes. I did not enjoy this place but since my friend enjoy Johnny so much I will give it 2 stars. read more

Cher has a gift in finding where your body needs attention. She is super strong, if you can handle it, just let her do her thing.

Peter is a fantastic massage therapist! I have seen many a massage therapist in my life time and he's certainly the best! He is an expert at trigger point, myofacial release, and general deep tissue massage. I have had chronic neck, TMJ, and shoulder pain and after seeing Peter, I feel brand new! He's truly amazing and the price is so so reasonable! Also, Cher ,his wife is the best; they are truly a great massaging duo!! read more

Don't go anywhere else, do yourself a favor and just come here. I walked in and got Peter. He is amazing! I'll be going back!

I went to Peter for serious hypertension and restless sleeping. He used a combination of massage and acupuncture. I've been there about 4 times in 2 weeks and he completely loosened up my body. I fall asleep fast now am i'm very relaxed and way less stressed out in general. This is the real deal. read more

I have mixed feelings. The massage was pretty good--definitely served the intended purpose. However, it took a few attempts for me to reach them over the phone to schedule. I didn't try their online system. When I got there, they thought I was coming the day before and weren't expecting me. They also have two doors, and I was waiting for about 10 minutes at the wrong entrance. The masseuse was very nice, but I had difficulty understanding her. Thee atmosphere was great though: complete with fountains and relaxing music. I would go back again for the price. read more

I've gone to Peter for reflexology twice now and both times have been exactly what I need. He's the type that you don't have to say much to, he can just feel where you need the most work. I love that. Great place and convenient location!!! read more

Without being too dramatic, Peter literally changed the quality of my life. I had severe leg and foot problems that were causing me to walk like an old woman. I had gone to physical theraphy, seen multiple podiarists and pretty much accepted the next stop was surgery. Under Peter's care, I am walking again and able to do everything I did previously. It "feels" like a miracle to me. I continue to go to Peter because I know that he is my preventative medicine; he keeps me young! read more

I booked with Cher for a 60 min reflexology appointment last week. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Cool, dark, quiet. I was the only one in there. i went later in the evening on a weekend. If there were others there and right next to me, I might have felt differently. It was an ok experience. Cher was very helpful with advice.....things I already knew but she seemed to really care. The reflexology was "rough", so to speak. I have a nerve disorder and I needed more of a gentle approach so some of it was too much for me. I did express that the pressure or technique was to rough at times and it seemed she didn't pay much attention to that. I should have been more vocal. I got through it and my feet and lower legs felt more balanced and less pain in general for a few days. read more

Peter is a very skilled massage therapist. I was looking for a reflexology theatment, but after reading the reviews, I decided on a 90 minute treatment. I had a fabulous 30 minute foot massage and the an hour of full body massage. I felt relaxed, but energized when Peter was done. The studio is quiet and meticulously clean. I will definitely go back again. read more

Peter is a miracle worker! I have seen Peter off and on for years just basically routine maintenance. Then late last year I really injured my back, not sure how, probably a combination of things, exercise, air travel, stress, and overexertion. But this last flare up occurred just before we were scheduled to leave for an African safari! I was very concerned that I would be in pain for the 24+ hours of air travel and then long days in the bush driving over bumpy dirt roads. I asked Peter to help and within two treatments which included massage, cupping and acupuncture I was completely pain free! I just returned from my trip today and I did not have one moment of pain or even discomfort, over then 12 days on my trip. Thank you so much Peter for making the trip of a lifetime pain free. You are the best! read more

i had an amazing experience as my first time with reflexology and with this massage parlor. i had johnnie as my massage therapist and he did an amazing job, you could clearly see he was skilled with reflexology, i would have given 5 stars however i went with my girlfriend who had a lady not sure her name but she did not enjoy her experience, she felt the lady didnt attune to her body or her pain level. this place was easy to relax in and well worth the price. highly recommend johnnie and i definitly will be going back!!! read more

On recommendation from my foot doctor, I have been coming to Peter at the Walnut Creek location for almost a year and a half. The reflexology and body massages are wonderful (as already described in the reviews by Sylvia and Kristi). The atmosphere is relaxing, the place is extremely clean, the people are nice, and the services provided are an incredible value. I look forward to coming on a regular basis for general relaxation as well as for specific physcal issues. I have already recommended to family and friends, and highly recommend to everyone. read more

Today is my due date and I decided to come in for a foot reflexology message to help things along. No appointment and I only had to wait 10 min on a Saturday afternoon. Didn't catch the gentleman's name but he did a good job and was very nice. He mainly focused his time on my feet but also worked on my head, shoulders and arms. Minus a star because the general noise of the open room is distracting. $25 for about 50 min plus $5 tip. It did not make a difference moving my labor along but it was relaxing. I'd go again and recommend it. read more

Peter is absolutely amazing. I read the Yelp reviews and thought that they were too good to be true but I wanted to try him out for myself. I've gone to see him when I've had back pain, shoulder issues, and foot problems. I never fail to feel better after the massage and the pain will actually go away. I just tell Peter what area is hurting and he'll squeeze, poke, or apply pressure to the corresponding nerve or pressure point and it ultimately feels better. It can be a bit painful but it works. read more

Wow, my friend at work recommended 1521 Reflexology to help with my plantar fasciitis. I made an appointment with Peter, and he very thoroughly assessed what was going on with my feet, legs, gait, etc. He examined me more thoroughly and helped me much more than the podiatrist I went to for the same issue. I've gone to see him about 5 times, and the pain in my foot is gone. This is amazing. I am so happy. Believe me, the first few massages were therapeutic and very painful. Each massage became less painful. I also found myself very relaxed after each massage, almost like after a meditation. Peter also massaged my legs, which improved the circulation in my legs. I've recommended him to my regular doctor and to my chiropractor. And the treatments worked fast, too. Thanks, Peter! You really helped me. Also, the shop in Walnut Creek is very pleasant, pretty & calm. It's also clean and attractive. I feel good about going there. It's also near a parking garage, so I didn't have to worry about trying to find street parking and could get in & out fast with my car. Peter's first language is not English, but I was able to understand him and he was able to communicate with me. I used the online booking tool and found it very easy. read more
