This is the BEST massage shop in Walnut Creek and in the area by far. Shere and Peter and Johnie are really skilled at reflexolgy foot massage and body massage. It is located off LOCUST avenue and they work pretty much seven days per week from 10am to 9pm or so. Their prices are not the cheapest in town but they are still really good and you get what you pay for. Rather than simply having your feet and or body "rubbed" these folks use their years of experience and expertise to provide you the best experience that will make you feel better and healthier. I made an account specially to give this place a review. A massage place is intended for one to relax. Ever since I called to make an appointment for my mom, an Asian lady answered the phone. She went from being rude, cold, uninterested, to a complete bitch. She said: make up your mind on when you want to come in because we have very few masseuses. I was just trying for them to be open to the idea that my mom doesn't drive and that she would be a few minutes late in case she couldn't catch the bus on time. Please don't give this place the time of day. We are paying for a service and customer service should be excellent since the minute one calls to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, I had bought their coupon already. Nest time I will make sure to call in first to check availability. Reconsider your customer service staff members! I really like this place and the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the fact that sometimes they leave in the middle of massage to answer phone or attend to another customer. With that said I think this is the best massage place in Walnut Creek even better than fancy places that charge over $100 an hour. Bought a Living Social certificate. definition of their website of a relaxing therapeutic massage: "Incorporates a variety of techniques including, myofascial release, acupressure, deep tissue, and sports therapeutic. " Yet, Cher tried to charge me an extra $10...pretty underhanded. She said that deep tissue is not included, yet on the living social cert there was no limitation and on their personal website, the definition above was given. I called Living Soc Cust Srvc and they concurred with my discovery. Plus Cher doesn't know how to listen on the phone. She talks over the customer. I pointed it out, but it's ingrained. These guys are the real deal. If you have a foot problem, this is the place. They have fixed my plantar fasciitis, my swollen knee issue and a top of the foot problem. Since I jog and play tennis, I am prone to knee and foot issues but one or two sessions and the problem is resolved. read more

i have been here over twenty times and have nothing but positive and words to say about Peter and the staff. Peter was able to help me get back on my feet after a full reconstructive foot surgery. I was told i would suffer for the rest of my life by more than 3 doctors. Peter said he would try to help with breaking down my scar tissue and getting back some of my movement. What a hidden gem! And a deal at that! My girlfriends and I have had a couple of gatherings here. Cher and Peter were very accommodating as 7 of us girls rotated through treatments (feet and body massages). We brought appetizers and wine along with us and it felt like our own personalized "spa" party. More recently we did a quick 30 minute foot massage (wine in tow again) right before heading to happy hour at any of the nearby restaurants. Since then, Cher has completely transformed their new space into a modern, lovely, high end spa-like environment. Service is great as usual - now the space enhances the experience even futher. This is Real Reflexology - not like the other store fronts popping up in malls in response to the recent trend. (I understand they have a Lafayette store now, too.) I certainly agree with Sylvia R.'s review that Peter is awesome. He has extensive knowledge of body mechanics and combined with his attentiveness and intuition has cured my body of a variety of ills - plantar facsiitis, an ankle problem that my podiatrist gave up on and general hip/low back pain. I continue to visit for general relaxation and to enjoy the kindness of Cher, Peter and their staff. Prices are very reasonable . They are in the process of opening a new space and expanding next to their current one. Cher has done a lovely job of decorating it and creating a warm environment in which to relax. Their buiness is down an odd little sidewalk off of Locust so you have to know to look for the Sandwich board sign they keep on the main sidewalk. I have mixed feelings. The massage was pretty good--definitely served the intended purpose. However, it took a few attempts for me to reach them over the phone to schedule. I didn't try their online system. When I got there, they thought I was coming the day before and weren't expecting me. They also have two doors, and I was waiting for about 10 minutes at the wrong entrance. The masseuse was very nice, but I had difficulty understanding her. Without being too dramatic, Peter literally changed the quality of my life. I had severe leg and foot problems that were causing me to walk like an old woman. I booked with Cher for a 60 min reflexology appointment last week. The atmosphere is very relaxing. Cool, dark, quiet. I was the only one in there. i went later in the evening on a weekend. If there were others there and right next to me, I might have felt differently. It was an ok experience. Cher was very helpful with advice.....things I already knew but she seemed to really care. The reflexology was "rough", so to speak. I have a nerve disorder and I needed more of a gentle approach so some of it was too much for me. I did express that the pressure or technique was to rough at times and it seemed she didn't pay much attention to that. I should have been more vocal. I got through it and my feet and lower legs felt more balanced and less pain in general for a few days. read more

Peter is a miracle worker! I have seen Peter off and on for years just basically routine maintenance. Then late last year I really injured my back, not sure how, probably a combination of things, exercise, air travel, stress, and overexertion. But this last flare up occurred just before we were scheduled to leave for an African safari! I was very concerned that I would be in pain for the 24+ hours of air travel and then long days in the bush driving over bumpy dirt roads. I asked Peter to help and within two treatments which included massage, cupping and acupuncture I was completely pain free! i had an amazing experience as my first time with reflexology and with this massage parlor. i had johnnie as my massage therapist and he did an amazing job, you could clearly see he was skilled with reflexology, i would have given 5 stars however i went with my girlfriend who had a lady not sure her name but she did not enjoy her experience, she felt the lady didnt attune to her body or her pain level. this place was easy to relax in and well worth the price. highly recommend johnnie and i definitly will be going back!!! read more

Today is my due date and I decided to come in for a foot reflexology message to help things along. No appointment and I only had to wait 10 min on a Saturday afternoon. Didn't catch the gentleman's name but he did a good job and was very nice. He mainly focused his time on my feet but also worked on my head, shoulders and arms. Minus a star because the general noise of the open room is distracting. $25 for about 50 min plus $5 tip. It did not make a difference moving my labor along but it was relaxing. Peter is absolutely amazing. I read the Yelp reviews and thought that they were too good to be true but I wanted to try him out for myself. I've gone to see him when I've had back pain, shoulder issues, and foot problems. I never fail to feel better after the massage and the pain will actually go away. I just tell Peter what area is hurting and he'll squeeze, poke, or apply pressure to the corresponding nerve or pressure point and it ultimately feels better. Wow, my friend at work recommended 1521 Reflexology to help with my plantar fasciitis. I made an appointment with Peter, and he very thoroughly assessed what was going on with my feet, legs, gait, etc. He examined me more thoroughly and helped me much more than the podiatrist I went to for the same issue. I've gone to see him about 5 times, and the pain in my foot is gone. This is amazing. I am so happy. Believe me, the first few massages were therapeutic and very painful. Each massage became less painful. I also found myself very relaxed after each massage, almost like after a meditation. Peter also massaged my legs, which improved the circulation in my legs. I've recommended him to my regular doctor and to my chiropractor. And the treatments worked fast, too. Thanks, Peter! You really helped me. Also, the shop in Walnut Creek is very pleasant, pretty & calm. It's also clean and attractive. I feel good about going there.
