I was sad to come back to this massage place and find the quality of service has diminished since my last visit. The 1 hour felt shorter because my masseuse kept leaving the room for short amounts of time each, possibly switching people as well. Not very mindful of the covering towel meant for privacy. First time here, yesterday. They took my online appointment same day, for 2 people, with only a couple hours notice! My husband & I did the 30min body + 30 min foot massage, & it was wonderful!! Such a great experience, they did a great job! We have busy schedules so we decided to go somewhere close to home & we are very glad we found them! I finally had a good nights sleep. Let me start off with saying that I'm a straight up foot massage SNOB. I've been to a whole lot of foot massage parlors in SD from Convoy to City Heights, La Mesa to Spring valley so I know what to expect from them and I have a little experience on which ones get the job done. Now with that said, I received THE BEST MASSAGE I'VE EVER HAD at this establishment! The masseuse, May, absolutely made my day. She is an sbsolute master at what she does! This is coming from someone that's been getting foot massages on the regular for over 10 years. She is by far, the best massage experience (foot or full body) I've ever had and I haven't even tried the full body yet! It has been my pleasure to have found someone that can do a foot massage and have it be amazing the entire hour! Her technique is so fluid, as her movements and application provide just the right amount of pressure applied to your feet. It makes your feet feel like heaven afterwards. And it's not just the feet! Yes! She massages your calves, knees, face, and back and she does it WELL! I have bad knees and I didn't expect her to massage them as most foot massage places don't, so it was such a pleasant surprise when she did them, and it was so GOOOOD! The neck massage she provides makes you melt as well. I can't explain enough how good thus made me feel. Me and my girlfriend could not stop talking about it afterwards as she has Jim for her foot massage and he was solid in his work also. The business itself is not modern and can be misleading because it doesn't have the amazing cosmetics most foot massage places tend to have, but hidden in this unassuming place is a true DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH I can't say enough. It's places like these where I love to support and I am definitely not a Yelp review type of person because reviews are alot of the time misleading but I feel compelled to leave this comment and share the amazing exeperience with the Yelp community. Does a minor own this place? Every time I have walked by, there has been a young girl on the couch. Ok, so maybe she's a daughter of one of the workers and has no babysitter to watch her. Since it's the closest massage place by my house I decided to have the $20 foot massage. Good standard massage, no complaints. In fact I was thinking of coming back and trying there other services. When the massage was complete I tipped the masseuse $5. As I was walking out the door the little girl on the couch yelled at me and said "you pay cheap". This was the only establishment that gave me a same day appointment within 30 minutes of calling and inquiring their availability. I was paired up with Jim who gave me the best one hr. massage for $40. Worth every penny! And I decided to tip 30%. As a service business I believe that the customary 15% tip applies for good service, but since I am not well versed I have no clue if their tip chart is accurate? I did a walk-in / lucky I didn't have to wait long- YO-YO was the Massage therapist for 1.5hrs she knows very little English. But made me feel calm- safe. She was very professional and knows what she doing- she took the time to make sure I was getting the right pressures and always ask and ask if I was ok. given the fact it was first time. I was quite surprised that she did a great job- the place is small but clean so that to me was a plus. The best part also was the warmer they have on the bed- I felt that I was never cold even after she wipe down the body with wet towel. thank you read more

Okay, you must have you expectations in the right place to start. This isn't a full service spa so you shouldn't expect anything like that. It is a $40 massage. The woman who checked me in was very nice but didn't speak English very well. In my opinion, you first receive a service.. and then pay. But here it is the other way around.. again, expectations.. The massage therapist was very nice and overall performed a good massage. No professional draping here, so be prepared lol. It was incomparable to a licensed massage therapist's massage, but it was good if you are looking to relax a little! read more

It was so last minute and they accommodated not just me but all 3 of us I literally just yelped massage and this place came up and it was just down the street ALL of the Masseuse and masseur we had were amazing and knew what they were doing. I personally had the manager Steve and he definitely did not disappoint. I got this coupon in the mail and normally I do not go to new places for my luxury services but due to the reviews and price I had to check this out. I had the 20$ 60 min massage & foot reflexology. I decided to add a salt foot scrub for 5$ more and I got a lot more than that. My masseuse May massaged my back with oils my head neck arms and hands. The foot reflexology didn't really feel like any pressure points were being hit it felt more like a massage but my feet and legs were soothed. She also did a hot stone on my back which was an extra treat. I gave her a 15$ tip because she went above and beyond to give me the full experience. The only thing is that the massages are given in a room that had multiple beds and a lady came in there at a point and was snoring cause she fell asleep. read more

I took the chance to try this place since it is really close to where I live. I have tried many others in National City but ended up sub-par. I am actually a frequent customer at massage eden in telegraph which is much farther, expensive, and busy...but still better for me. This place is actually really good. My foot massage was simple and effective at a great price. I dont mind Male maseuse since I noticed they are much better than smaller Asian women. They seem like good, honest people making a living. I tried to make a conversation to be nice but it was evident they spoke very little English. The old couple there had to speak through a little kid. Again, not a big deal. I am highly likely be a frequent here since I like the convenience. They offer a card where 9 foot massage can get you one for free. read more

BEST Massage EVER! My husband and I did a couple's massage. I had Steve as my masseuse and my husband had Angela. Both were so amazing. I like deep tissue on my back and shoulders because that's where my stress builds up, and Steve made sure to get those knots out while checking in periodically to ensure the pressure was okay. His technique is fantastic; he truly knows what he's doing and you can tell he has been formally trained on the body and how to ease pressure points! I have to completely agree with the reviewer below who mentioned not even having to tell Steve what hurt because it was like he could feel the body and know! Just amazing! Bless my sweet little heart because by the end of the massage I was nearly drooling and sooo relaxed that my husband had to drive us home! Lol! I will say that if you are looking for a fancy spa, this is not the right place because this location is in a small strip mall. I suffer from tension headaches which Is a result from tight muscles in my neck, shoulders and back. My only relief is a combination of deep tissue massage, stretching and chiropractic to resolve the issue. I try out different places for massage thru Groupon and from word of mouth. I happened to stumble on Massage Spring in the coupon book sent thru the mail. Not to mention I don't live that far so I decided to give it a shot after reading the reviews. I asked for Steve personally since another yelper highly recommended him. I can honestly say he did a fantastic job on working out the knots. I did not have to tell him what was hurting, it's like he knew what areas to focus on. I have found my new go to! I am soooo elated that I gave this place a try. This place was good for a foot massage. They have really good prices and the quality of the massage was decent. I think with these places it really just depends who you get. Hit or miss. The only things I didn't like about this place was that they left the door to the shop and the room open and it's bright when you're trying to relax and also very loud. Also after our massage was over I looked up to see there is a camera in the room. It's a group room so to be fair I dont think anyone gets fully undressed in there but I feel like it should be stated beforehand just so you know. But overall I would go back again. read more

I was not happy how Jim did not complete the whole entire 60 minute deep tissue massage service. I paid $40 for a 60 minute massage service and he only did 50 minutes. And why are they sounding like they are demanding a tip? If I wanted to give a tip it would be because I was satisfied with the service and that i would get the entire 60 minutes. But because they demanded a tip I just gave $5, and their charts explained the tips as follows: $10-$15 for good, $15-$20 for great, and $20-$25 for excellent. I gave $5 as a tip, I think that is fairly deserved. read more

While this was my third time here at spring massage I will not be returning any more. The service has been declining since our first visit. I loved coming here In the beginning because it was so close to home and the prices are so reasonable but during our recent visit my cousin and I experienced that our appointment had been canceled and that somebody else appear to have taken out slot so we had to wait an extra 15 minutes for there to be a room available and when we finally got it in somebody had already started on my cousin but I was left waiting another 20 minutes for my masseuse. I had to get up and asked the lady who is doing my cousin where was my masseuse ? and she told me that he got stuck on the road so OK that's fine I assumed I would just get done later than my cousin did but when the masseuse finally came his phone kept going off he kept leaving the room every five minutes so I felt completely gypped because I did not get my hour at all ! At most I only got 30 minutes because I only got done maybe five or 10 minutes after my cousin was done so she got the full hour of course plus we pay for the extra foot scrubs but I got hardly anything , so we get done and I'm obviously not very happy but we decided to just leave . On our way out the door one of the masseuses called Out saying "hey you guys forgot to tip!" So I gave her a $5 turned to my cousin I told her we're never going back there again, it was the worst experience I've ever had and I completely overpaid for my "30 minute" massage and the girl still demanded that I give her a tip ! but in reality I should've been given a refund. read more
