I didn't catch her name, but the person who helped set our appointment up really went above and beyond to fit us in for a last minute 530 session so that was greatly appreciated. The place is small and cozy, easy to find in a small plaza with plenty of parking. The last massage I got I was pretty much beaten to a pulp so I was hoping to get something less intense. I had a male masseuse and he was great in considering that I wanted focus on my shoulders with good pressure. Not too hard, and not too light. I think at some point I fell asleep LOL Anyway, great place to try compared to other massage spas in the area. I am so lucky to have found this hidden gem a few months ago on ClassPass. Since then I have been hooked and introduced to my husband and child. I usually get the Thai combo massage and have not been disappointed. I also tried the cupping and that was great. It helped to take out all the toxins and loosen my knots. They really know what they are doing. They will ask if you are ok or if there is an area that you want to work on. Thai massage is my favorite, as it has the therapist step on you, which I prefer. The shop is super clean and very relaxing. I would suggest to get an appointment, as they do get busy. Though you might get a massage by just walking in, but I would really suggest making an appointment instead. Then you can pick your therapist if you have a favorite one. I will say all of them are quite good. You will have a choice of Eve, Ivy, JJ, Sonya, Tucky and Ellie...sorry if I forget anyone. All amazing. They are open everyday, Monday to Sunday, 10am to 8pm. Prices are very reasonable, and you can get a slight discount if you pay in cash. Massages, can be physically demanding for both the therapist and the recipient, especially deep tissue styles. So please give a nice tip, as the therapists work hard to make you feel better. I'm quite sure you can pick from a 30 minute massage to a two-hour one. I usually get a 90 minute one, I feel that's a perfect time for me, one hour is a bit too short but two hours might be too long. So please give this place a try, these guys work hard and they want you to feel better. And when you get out of your massage you get a nice bottle of water and some candy just to show you how much they appreciate you. My only issue: the space shares a wall with a congregation, which can get loud with the church services. But I am not docking any stars because Cozy is still well worth the visit. I have been several times since mid-spring and Cozy Thai has become my favorite place in San Diego to get a massage. It is squarely because of Narin, a patent, caring and gifted masseuse. I have seen her when I've been dealing with intense back pain, and also purely for relaxation. She is skilled in Thai massage, but can also present a wonderful Swedish massage as well. She is attentive on the first check in, making sure she has a strong understanding of your pain points and needs. Always, she asks if I have any pain. And throughout each session, she will check in periodically about the pressure, the room temperature, your comfort level with any given position. And Narin always knows my problems: when I have been overworking my quads, when I am dehydrated, when I have not been stretching enough -- she is so attuned to my body and energy. This spot is kind of hidden way in an older strip mall, not the most glamorous location by any means, and don't expect to have Glen Ivy level spa treatments, but the massage was to die for. I walked out of there an hour ago and feel fantastic. They walk on your back and I never have had that before- I was a little nervous about it but it hits all the right spots. I like a nice deep massage so definitely be ready for that. I had Sonia and she really did a wonderful job.
