Much to my dismay, I ended up getting a full body massage basically. You would think that was a good thing, but the "masseuse" had no idea what she was doing. The worst part was she didn't speak any English, so it was very hard to communicate what areas to work on and the amount of pressure to use. Most of the time she was hurting me from bending my arms and legs too far back. Not exactly what I was looking for. Initially I asked for an hour massage, but thankfully it ended around the 50 minute mark. Not sure I could have handled much more anyway. Honestly, I reviewed several options and chose this business because of a reply to a negative review. I thought the response was professional and courteous. I imagine that can be difficult to achieve when someone says something negative about your small business. The Prosper location is a satellite office, so it is co-located with Apple Counseling. When you arrive, there is a sign on the glass partition that tells you to sit and wait for the therapist to come retrieve you. This was initially a little awkward, but it wasn't overly burdensome. The masseuse was professional and friendly. The bed was warmed for my comfort and the masseuse asked me for my preference regarding the type of massage. This came in the form of how much pressure do you prefer on a scale of 1 -10. Admittedly, I've only been to this location on one occasion, but I now understand the attraction of a routine massage. It was a comforting experience and something I hope I can find time to take advantage of again. If you are looking for a massage I would recommend this business. I imagine the experience is the same with most businesses that provide this service. I came to see her a few days after Memorial Day, after a particularly stressful and distressing week. I also had stiffness and pain from sitting/sleeping in bad positions. Thus, I chose the 90 Minutes Massage. I'm SO glad I did. First, I appreciate the organized and succinct website. ALL important information is there, including Name, Phone, Address, Experience, Types of Massages, Pricing, and Acceptable Forms of Payment. I don't like digging around for that information, and it made booking my appoint easier. Second, Kim is a sole proprietor (as a previous reviewer mentions). I prefer small boutique spas and massages from independent masseuses. I always felt rushed the few times I attended a chain massage spa, but Kim gives you the FULL time for your massage. The room is very clean, with fresh linens, and no clutter. Kim is very warm and friendly. She obviously enjoys what she does, helping people feel better. She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Third, the massage room has wonderful ambience. I love purple, so I was thrilled to see purple lights, and purple touches everywhere. The music is also very relaxing, not too loud or too soft. I think Kim is also blessed with a soothing voice, so that helps the overall mood, too. :-) And last, the 90 Minute Massage is one of the best I've had in a long time. What I like about Kim, is that she customizes her massage using various techniques. I felt her switch techniques when she came across a particularly large knot. Most importantly, she listens to you, if you need her to go deeper or harder, or stop if you feel any pain. I woke up with a little soreness, but no pain at all. The 90 Minute Massage includes Stretching. As someone who has done physical therapy for my knee, the Stretching really helped loosen tightness all over, especially my Achilles heels, hips, and IT band. I also want to mention that I have very sensitive skin, and I did not have any adverse reaction to the massage oil used. I almost cried in relief, when my massage was over. While it takes more than one session to get rid of all the knots, I feel normal again. I can't thank Kim enough. I highly recommend the 90 Minutes Massage for the Stretching alone.
