Honestly, I reviewed several options and chose this business because of a reply to a negative review. I thought the response was professional and courteous. I imagine that can be difficult to achieve when someone says something negative about your small business. The Prosper location is a satellite office, so it is co-located with Apple Counseling. When you arrive, there is a sign on the glass partition that tells you to sit and wait for the therapist to come retrieve you. This was initially a little awkward, but it wasn't overly burdensome. The masseuse was professional and friendly. The bed was warmed for my comfort and the masseuse asked me for my preference regarding the type of massage. This came in the form of how much pressure do you prefer on a scale of 1 -10. Admittedly, I've only been to this location on one occasion, but I now understand the attraction of a routine massage. It was a comforting experience and something I hope I can find time to take advantage of again. If you are looking for a massage I would recommend this business. I imagine the experience is the same with most businesses that provide this service. LaVinia is very knowledgeable regarding your body, how it reacts to surgery and your lymphatic system. She is kind and gentle while massaging and gives great tips on how to treat yourself in between appointments. Ive been here twice so far and already know I'll be coming in monthly at least! Ive had to deal with chronic neck and back pain for years now and while chiropractors help sometimes, most of the pain is muscular. This causes daily headaches some weeks and a ton of tension throughout my body. Lavinia has already helped so much! As with any type of healing for your body it will take more than just one visit to see drastic changes but so far with the second massage I could really feel my muscles starting to relax and with the next few massages it will get even better. Quantum recently sent out a flyer in Prosper for what appears to be a new location; original location in McKinney. I typically hesitant to try be massage places but my regular place is in Plano and was hoping to find a top quality place in Prosper where I live. I book a 3p appt for today a couple days ago via their website. Today around 1:30p I get an email saying my appt has been changed to 3:15p. I send a text asking if this is correct and Lavinia say yes that she is running late. Im find with that but had to be going by 3:15p since I had plans at 5p and still needed to come home and get ready. I show up at Prosper location at 3p and figure I would go inside and wait for my 3:15p. Well, the door is pocketed and no one is there. It pears they are renting space at a counseling office?? Windows are cover I dust and does t look like there is anyone here on a regular basis. For sure not a reception person. At 3:05p I call the therapist and no answer, so I text "place looks closed". I get a text back saying "I'm at the Mckinney studio and will be there at 3:15p". Now that means, it's all a rush from here and no way the massage start till 3:20-3:25 and now it will Make me late for my plans. I get couple apologies but no offer to compensate me driving from frisco early to make my appt time to find out it's closed with no staff. I learned about this business through GroupOn and was very excited to learn that I could receive massage treatments so close to my house. I purchased two GroupOns: one for myself and one for my wife. Seemed like a nice way to become acquainted with a small business and then to become a regular customer. My wife took the first GroupOn and she had a very nice massage and also received some excellent tips. First experience we would rate 4 stars: if we had stopped here then we would likely be a customer for life! Unfortunately, the other GroupOn which I was planning to use was on the verge of expiration, and I was too busy to make time, so I offered for my wife to use mine. Instead of this being a gift to my wife; I ended up with a wife that was very distraught. Apparently, the therapist thought my wife was abusing the system so treated her like a second class citizen. This time the massage was very rough, probably because the therapist was upset. During the massage the therapist took several incoming text messages which is disrespectful and distracting to someone receiving the treatment. After the treatment my wife was lying on the bed still scantily dressed and the therapist stood over her and demanded that she call Groupon to cancel and to pay her directly. This was a terrible experience and my wife, being the nice person that she is, left a good tip despite the poor service. It doesn't matter how good you are at your craft when you fall short on customer service. Customers should be given the best customer service and especially when they are in a vulnerable position as they are when being touched by a stranger. We unfortunately will not be going back. It wasn't the worst massage I had but definitely wasn't the best. The massage reminded me of prior massages I had at Massage Envy. It felt like there was a process and it was followed. I mentioned on my intake form where my issues were but to be honest that isn't where she concentrated. The lady Gabriella was very nice but I felt like it was rushed and she was hurrying through the massage. I wondered if part of the resin for the subpar massage was related to me purchasing a groupon. I really wanted to like this place because it's very close to my home but I don't think I will give it another shot. You want an amazing massage go to Spa at 11 Creeks. Quantum has been my go to massage center since moving to the area in July. Both mother and daughter are excellent therapists that leave you looking forward to your next visit. Place is always clean, appointments are a must although they are open 7 days a week so you'll not have to wait long to get one. I've even sent my adult son here as he suffers with lower back pain from an old work injury. After his first time he came home touting how amazing he felt. I haven't seen him that limber in years!! Visited them using a Groupon and would return again. Gabriella was great. If you are looking for a talker, she's not your girl, which I like that she wasn't because I have a hard time not talking. She let me know what areas were tight and showed me ways to stretch out those muscles. If you can't take a deep muscle massage, don't get one because the muscles that are tight are going to hurt when she puts her arm into it...like your quads. If you choose to get one, tell her when it's too deep. She can only help you if you help her. I went and saw Gabriella last night and she is by far the best masseuse I've ever been to. She know her muscles and knows how to work them. Are her massages deep, yes, but that's what I'm looking for. I called yesterday and by luck, she had an opening. I came here Sunday pretty excited to receive my first ever massage. Half of my session with Gabriela felt great, with a lot of elbow and forearm working out the knots in my back, and half of it was her fingers lightly dug in trailing across my body, which I didn't care for. I don't have any other massages to compare this to but I'd rate that part 3.5 stars. Then when I was about to leave, she asked me how I was going to pay. I told her I was using a groupon and she gets this incredulous look on her face and tells me I can't use my groupon since it was my third visit there. I tell her it was my first time there, and she refuses to believe me, basically calls me a liar to my face. She shows me my appointment list: one appointment on Saturday that was cancelled by Lavinia since she told me she couldn't see groupon appointments on Saturday, and one for March 26, which I never scheduled. So, because I had one cancelled appointment and one erroneous appointment in the future, she thought I was on my third. At this point she mutters "oh... there was a mistake". Not, "I made a mistake," just that there was one. She makes a few more snide remarks to me while I pull up my groupon. Her tone and body language was really rude and disrespectful, consistent with Dale's review below. Why be in the service industry if you don't care about customer service? I've been going to Lavinia for several months now. I went the first time because of a groupon I received and sometimes business give lesser service when you use a groupon, but this was definitely NOT the case with QBC and exactly why I have continued to go. Lavinia has been great in working out all the kinks in my neck where I tend to carry all of my stress. I am a part of the care club so I get an hour massage each month for a flat rate, but when they had a special during the holidays, Lavinia offered it and was willing to add it on, even though it was for a lesser price. Lavinia has been great at listening to what hurts, what is tense, and working it out. Best of all, she doesn't start the hour until she starts the massage. Many other places I've been to start the massage as soon as they leave for your to undress, which takes an additional 5-10 minutes off of your actual massage time. Not the case here and makes it even more worth it all. I will not go to another massage therapist as long as I can see Lavinia at QBC. I recommend to all of my friends and family! read more

I was so excited and had such high expectations after reading all of the Yelp and Google reviews. I have had such chronic issues with huge, tense, hard knots in my neck, top of shoulder, and shoulder blades. I said I wanted focus on those areas because it's so tense and said not to be shy with the pressure. Well she barely spent any time at all on this area and what she did didn't even come close to relieving any of the tension whatsoever. It feels just the same as before I went for the massage.
