I contacted Grant Gatlin through a referral from my PCP, feeling positive and excited to try his…read moreservices. Unfortunately, the experience was the exact opposite of what I expected. His first reply was centered on price ($375 per session, $280 for first-timers). I asked a simple, reasonable question about whether insurance might apply with a doctor's referral. Instead of answering straightforwardly, he said he doesn't take insurance and that his "process needs more consistency," so he didn't feel it was a good fit. When I asked him to clarify, his response was to tell me to "read the first line" of his text, dismissive and condescending. Even after I explained I wasn't needing to use insurance coverage, just asking, he doubled down with the same defensive tone. For someone who promotes optimism and healing, the actual interaction was defensive, transactional, and discouraging. The positivity he projects feels more like a façade than something he practices with clients. I was genuinely hopeful, especially coming from a trusted doctor's referral, but I will absolutely be telling others about my experience so they can make an informed choice. At this price point, professionalism and basic respect should be the bare minimum.

He also texted me inappropriate messages. He clearly waited until I had done several sessions with him to pull out this behavior and I'm sure there are many more clients with the same story who have yet to leave a review. He lacks professionalism and I would advise anyone, especially women, to AVOID him. He clearly violated his "massage" license multiple times and it needs to be revoked. Erik-- no need for a response to defend yourself. As for all your other responses, you clearly deflect and would never publicly acknowledge your inappropriate actions

I had my first massage with the amazing Miss Kim a couple of days ago…read more I am so grateful she was able to fit me in her schedule. I came to see her a few days after Memorial Day, after a particularly stressful and distressing week. I also had stiffness and pain from sitting/sleeping in bad positions. Thus, I chose the 90 Minutes Massage. I'm SO glad I did. First, I appreciate the organized and succinct website. ALL important information is there, including Name, Phone, Address, Experience, Types of Massages, Pricing, and Acceptable Forms of Payment. I don't like digging around for that information, and it made booking my appoint easier. Second, Kim is a sole proprietor (as a previous reviewer mentions). I prefer small boutique spas and massages from independent masseuses. I always felt rushed the few times I attended a chain massage spa, but Kim gives you the FULL time for your massage. The room is very clean, with fresh linens, and no clutter. Kim is very warm and friendly. She obviously enjoys what she does, helping people feel better. She makes you feel very comfortable and relaxed. Third, the massage room has wonderful ambience. I love purple, so I was thrilled to see purple lights, and purple touches everywhere. The music is also very relaxing, not too loud or too soft. I think Kim is also blessed with a soothing voice, so that helps the overall mood, too. :-) And last, the 90 Minute Massage is one of the best I've had in a long time. What I like about Kim, is that she customizes her massage using various techniques. I felt her switch techniques when she came across a particularly large knot. Most importantly, she listens to you, if you need her to go deeper or harder, or stop if you feel any pain. I woke up with a little soreness, but no pain at all. The 90 Minute Massage includes Stretching. As someone who has done physical therapy for my knee, the Stretching really helped loosen tightness all over, especially my Achilles heels, hips, and IT band. I also want to mention that I have very sensitive skin, and I did not have any adverse reaction to the massage oil used. I almost cried in relief, when my massage was over. While it takes more than one session to get rid of all the knots, I feel normal again. I can't thank Kim enough. I highly recommend the 90 Minutes Massage for the Stretching alone.
