We love going to spas and getting massages, and May's popped up on my Yelp! I called a couple of days before the July 4th weekend, hoping that we can grab a time. We ended up getting a couples massage! They were so accommodating. Hubby wanted a deep tissue massage, and I asked for the prenatal. Both were wonderful and we felt very relaxed. Prices weren't too bad either! My husband said that we need to remember May's, for the next time we come to Monterey!

The hotel we were staying at unfortunately did not have any openings that evening so we began to call around places. We called May's Wellness Spa and we were so excited that they could accommodate us for that evening at 6:15 PM which was only a couple of hours away. The place is tucked back with a lot of residential homes nearby so I wasn't quite sure we were in the right place, but it was easy to find. The inside was clean and cozy, and the ladies were very friendly and accommodating. My husband and I opted for the 90 minute massage and it was worth every minute. Both ladies did an amazing job. I requested a basic Swedish massage and my husband went with a deep tissue massage since he was pretty sore from a rough work week. We both left their feeling so relaxed and we both slept so good that night. I highly recommend!

I stopped in here after church with my mom and I opted for the 30 minute session for her for her feet and for my neck and shoulders for myself. As someone mentioned before, there is definitely a language barrier, but the lady is super sweet and her massages are strong and effective. Honestly for the 30 minutes session I received today I felt 100% better than I did after I paid four times as much at a spa down the street-the thing about the place down the street as they spoke perfect English, and didn't have as good of service as far as greeting us walking in as this lady did . The pricing is so unbelievably reasonable here especially the fact that we walked right in and we're seen right away. You can get mini Services for 30 minutes longer services if needed. Someone also had mentioned about the dated atmosphere (it is) for the price and the quality of the massage you're receiving I believe it is a very minuscule thing. I decided to come back weekly to this establishment for a little bit of self-care. I deserve it and this place is definitely worth it.

I had a lady do my foot massage and she was amazing--really careful and thorough, making sure I was completely relaxed. The prices are really fair considering how great the service is. The place itself is super clean, beautifully decorated, and just has a peaceful, calming feel to it. The soft music playing in the background just adds to the whole relaxing atmosphere. If you're looking to treat yourself and feel recharged, I definitely recommend checking this spa out!

I even gave my daughter a massage with Carri and my daughter, who is very picky about massage, said it was the best she had every had! A massage by Carri is all that one could wish for. She welcomes you with a gentle and genuine smile, treats you like a beloved guest and listens well to what you need. She adjusts the pressure of massage according to your wishes and her hands seem truly intuitive about where the tension and pain is. I have never liked massage therapists who feel the need to talk constantly, interrupting my opportunity to "float away" and thankfully Carri understands that.
