This is the second time that I have been to this location. I stopped in today because I have been extremely stressed out and tense in my neck and shoulders so much for the fact it hurt to turn my neck. I stopped in here after church with my mom and I opted for the 30 minute session for her for her feet and for my neck and shoulders for myself. As someone mentioned before, there is definitely a language barrier, but the lady is super sweet and her massages are strong and effective. Honestly for the 30 minutes session I received today I felt 100% better than I did after I paid four times as much at a spa down the street-the thing about the place down the street as they spoke perfect English, and didn't have as good of service as far as greeting us walking in as this lady did . The pricing is so unbelievably reasonable here especially the fact that we walked right in and we're seen right away. You can get mini Services for 30 minutes longer services if needed. Someone also had mentioned about the dated atmosphere (it is) for the price and the quality of the massage you're receiving I believe it is a very minuscule thing. I decided to come back weekly to this establishment for a little bit of self-care. I deserve it and this place is definitely worth it. read more

This is my favorite foot spa in downtown Salinas! It's the perfect spot to unwind. The staff are super friendly, hardworking, and really know what they're doing. I had a lady do my foot massage and she was amazing--really careful and thorough, making sure I was completely relaxed. The prices are really fair considering how great the service is. The place itself is super clean, beautifully decorated, and just has a peaceful, calming feel to it. The soft music playing in the background just adds to the whole relaxing atmosphere. If you're looking to treat yourself and feel recharged, I definitely recommend checking this spa out! read more

My first time visiting this business. I had tweaked my back last week playing with my kids. Mike was the gentlemen who gave me my full body massage! I really enjoyed the atmosphere it was quiet and peaceful. The gentlemen respected my privacy when I had to turn over. Angela was the lady who helped me with check out process and was very sweet. Definitely will be recommending and returning! read more

Openings were easy to walk in and schedule. Massage was smooth and she adjusted the pressure as I requested. Great service and great prices! For sure recommend for a relaxing outing that doesn't break the bank read more

I paid for 1.5hr massage & got 1.15 hr. Massage was fair not great & too many interruptions! Place stinks. Overall, AWFUL EXPERIENCE! WILL NEVER COME BACK! read more

I went in last week and they said my guy was no longer there. Terrible experience with the basic foot massage. she mainly massaged legs not feet. I'm on my feet all day I ask her to work the feet and toes. Apparently none of the old staff is there they wouldn't say. read more

I live getting my foot and hand massage here. The staff is really nice but hard to understand at times. There is def some weird stuff going on though cause there's always men walking in asking for "Kelly." And they always ask if they have an appointment. read more

Went in for a combo massage... massage is mediocre at best. What made this the worst massage was that true were drilling or using some power tools in the back room for a solid half an hour. What's the point of relaxing music when all I hear is power tools. DONT waste you're money here. Go elsewhere... literally anywhere else. I've been here a handful of times, and I've always let the loud talking, or texting while massaging go, but today was it. read more

Thank you for the great massage and customer service. The experience was quiet and serene. The masseuse was very professional and checked fir comfort level! read more

My experience at Happy Feat was absolutely wonderful We did a couples massage with Mike & LiLI. It was the best hour massage I have ever had. I would highly recommend Happy Feat to all my family & friends. Everyone there was very friendly and the massage therapists are very professional & experienced. I can assure I will be a repeat customer. Their prices for massages are very reasonable. Please give them a try!!! Thank you read more

I've been to this location a couple of times they have two in salinas, They accept walk-in and have great specials- couples 35.00 each ;) and the massage work is very strong/ powerful you feel amazing after! They totally relax all muscles and nerves, really work all the muscles out. They take appointments and Credit cards. I love massages so when in need and don't have much time this place does the trick and for the price I will be coming back. Negative side: I didn't like the fact the therapist did not speak or understand English! The build smelled like an old casino with cigarette smells. The music occasional stopped throughout my session. You get what you pay for right... :] read more

I receive an excellent professional massage every-time. Mona and Angela are awesome! The price is reasonable as well. Not a shady place like others across town. read more

I gave this shitty place 1 star because they do not allow any lower reviews. Cant believe how unprofessional this place is. Checking their phone while massaging is unacceptable. To feel air when getting a massage is unacceptable! I have been all over Asia and one would think that most eastern people would know the benefits of a good massage, however these people dont. Then, maybe this place has something to do with it being in one of the shittiest places in California (Salinas) where it looks like no one has lived here for years. Thank God I am just passing through. I am thankful for one thing however, I will be traveling back to the bay area for a real gotdamn massage! read more

If you want to feel like you just come out of a boxing match after your one hour massage, please come get massaged here :-D. This happened to my friend, we went in for our massages, and low and behold they told the masseuse, "not hard please," apparently each time my friend said this, they massaged harder :-o. So communication is a must here, if you plan on getting your massage here, please say, "softer," or "harder," this is what is understood with the language barrier. Friendly counter lady, when my massage therapist massaged me, I noted the counter lady in the room also, not sure if she was overseeing the masseuse or training? This was a strange experience. My massage therapist also had these 6-9 inch heels on, which kept tapping on the hard wood flooring, this was so not relaxing! Once again if you are here and want to massage, just communicate it properly. I did not feel like I was beaten after my massage because I kept asking for "softer" every 10 min or so... $35.00 per hour. CASH ONLY! sign on their register, so I am uncertain if they take cards. read more

Employee (owner I assume, some old haggard fat Chinese lady that literally looked like Jabba the Hutt) actually laughed at my tip & asked me if it was correct. Are you serious? ONE STAR Edit: The employees here were super cool and sympathetic when I came back here complaining about bad service. They even called the owner for me on their personal phone so I could talk to her directly. No surprise here she was still acting like a snakey b****. To their credit the employees wouldn't stop apologizing to me for how rude their boss was & in addition to that they wouldn't even accept a tip I tried to give to them directly. Awesome employees +1 Star, terrible owner so only 1 star. read more

I was a satisfied customer until today. I had a terrible tension headache and asked the lady for a 15 min. massage. She laughed and tried to convince me to do a 30. After a few minutes and laughing at me 3 times, I told her that she didn't deserve my money. I will never return. read more

I don't think they are licensed because the crappy massages they give aren't correct. Slapping a body part during a massage isn't right. I wanted a 60 minute foot massage like I thought I was paying for They started off with a face massage using some nasty oil the proceeded to push down on my skull. The foot rub was ok but not professional. Then they gave me a back massage which was weird. The techniques were not right either. I was sore for three days The place smells funny, the young man doing the massage smelled like cigarettes. Never going back read more

I was disappointed the last two times I visited. In May I tried to find someone for a massage...I wandered around the place and even used the restroom before giving up and leaving. NO I am not kidding!!! It was open and had the sign on and everything. It was so spooky! The second time I had to shake awake the woman owner(?) who was sleeping on one of the massage beds. Then she told me to come back in 40 minutes because all the masseuses were busy...this being said while a masseuse slurped noodles across the room... That was in June. I think I am finished with this establishment. read more

Today was my 3rd visit. The first time was very worthwhile. The second visit, they were busy and I felt rushed ... it was ok, not very relaxing. Today, I was a walk in and everything was fine for about 10 minutes. My feet were soaking, shoulders being rubbed and an older / middled aged woman walked from the back to the front and started on a long, loud phone complaining about a svc person not showing up for someone in NY. It was very odd & not at all relaxing. She destroyed the nice ambience after about 20 minues of yelling at someone, followed by a more muted conversation with someone else. She doesn't have an office or a cell of her own?? to user somewhere where she wouldn't disturb others. She showed up again as I was checking out and told me there is a $2 charge to use a credit card. I told her that they had not charged extra the first two visits. She shrugged her shoulders and said... "from now on, you pay the extra". There is a young woman receptionist who was there when I arrived, not when I left and was there the first 2 visaits I made. She is very nice and speaks beautiful English. I like the place, but it can be a bit erratic in whether it is enjoyable. Mike does a great job with feet, back, legs. Normally they are not busy it seems. Don't go if it is crowded. And if the young woman is in front, she seems very helpful and caring. They need to work on keeping things peaceful and realize that many customers need to use the credit card... adding extra charges doesn't add to a customer's feeling of well-being. read more

So, I was initially gonna give this place 3 stars, but based on how I'm feeling right now (24 hours later), they are getting 2 stars. I came here yesterday after 2 friends highly recommended it to me. My low back was really sore and stiff after an 18 hour trip on a bus coming back from NM, so I was desperate for some relief. Now, there are some decent pros to this place which have kept me from giving just star. It is really nice and clean inside with a very relaxing ambience. I was able to go in for my appt. within half an hour of calling. It was also fairly affordable (I paid $30 for 30 min "full body massage"). But then came the cons. The massage itself mainly consisted of rubbing my upper back, shoulders, and neck. I've only gotten a massage one other time and it was in Puerto Vallarta. It was the best feeling ever, and they truly massage my FULL body. I will say that in this experience, my lower back feels some relief. But I will probably never go back here again. The masseuse concentrated way to much on my neck and shoulders and used harsh motions and sharp pressure. I honestly feel like I got beat up. I had to sleep lying straight on my back because it hurt to move too much. And today when my friend hugged me, I cried out because of the pain. It's so tender, slightly touching it causes me to wince. Overall, can't say I'd recommend a body massage. Maybe the foot massage would be the route to take (especially given the name). read more

Ángela and Mona did my mother and I massages and it was by far the best massage I had ever received. I was massaged by Mona. They definitely have received a new regular customer! read more

came in for a 1hr foot massage. unfortunately got the spot near front entrance that had a breeze come in every now n then when the front door opens and hear the workers talking with the customers....kinda ruins the Zen. the massages was just below average...not worth another visit. difficult to find a decent foot massage place in Salinas. marina seems to be best option and San Jose too far. if anyone has a recommendation to a place in Salinas, plz let me know read more

$35 for a combo hour foot and full body massage. I would say for me personally the guys are better. When I bring my boyfriend he refuses to have a male masseuse, but when he requests the women they are way too delicate. EVERY single time I go to pay they are unsatisfied with my tip. They will either sarcastically laugh or force you to give them more. I personally tip $5 and think it's worth the service I get. Yes, they talk and laugh for half of your massage and to make it even worse their hands smell like cigarettes. Idk why I always go back thinking I'll get better service. read more

These guys get a bad rap. My daughter and I come here often. They are very accommodating, even if I forget to make an appointment. The service is friendly and professional and the beds are clean, comfortable and the atmosphere is relaxing. It's not a tomb, they talk a little and help customers but it doesn't bother me. If the massage is too strong I can ask them to be lighter and vice versa. Blaming them for not reading your mind isn't fair. I have never been asked for a tip, but I'm not cheap and I appreciate their work. We will continue to enjoy their services. read more

The women that gave me a massage was the worst, not once did she ever massaged the neck and I paid $40 or $60 for a session.Painful and was very sore the next day. After the massage she demanded a tip.Crap Service, Never would go back.Waste of time of getting a barley relaxing massage read more

A Saturday off, yeay! What did I do while the bf was out playing basketball? I spent $25 for an hour long, "Foot Relaxation" splurge! Uh, I mean deal! Life has finally caught up with the both of us and we both don't want to rub each others' necks anymore so I've undertaken the task of finding a reasonable establishment that offers a couples massage package, something we (I) hope to fit into our budget and make a religious treat :) ...wouldn't that be awesome! I searched through the Monterey County Weekly classifieds and I was intrigued by a business advertisement for Happy Feet Day Spa in Salinas, I got excited for the couples massage at $40 per person for an hour. Do the math, $80 an hour for 2 people, omg that's like one massage at The Plaza, lol. The website was provided and I checked it out, the home page said they just opened a second location in Old Town Salinas. We do not live in Salinas, but this location is convenient enough and very near the Maya Cinemas and Steinbeck Center. If you are not from Salinas and listen to gibberish, it is a safe environment. BUT back to business, the services include four body massage packages and four body treatments meaning exfoliation and massage. Like I said, I am looking for a place with REASONABLE (affordable and of quality) services and a clean environment. I called and made an appointment for 11:30. I arrived at 11:40 MY BADDD but they were cool and fine with it. I made a a ruckus going in, though. I didn't know what to expect. Just like massage spots in malls, I've been intrigued but too conscious to have people watch me get rubbed. As soon as you walk in the room is very dim, smells like soft vanilla and soothing generic spa music. I like that stuff. But the room boasted 6 chairs all facing opposite the entrance. I was quickly seated in a big, comfy chair. The attendant brought a tub lined with a plastic bag filled with herbal tea water, hehe, and wrapped my feet in the bag. He reclined the chair, covered me with a towel blanket and left me to relax. And I did. For an hour, yes an hour, my: face, head, neck, arms, shoulders, legs, feet, neck again, back, and butt got a good rub. I have no complaints. Because there are several chairs in the one room I obviously heard what everyone else was feeling and because my eyes are covered with a warm towel the entire time I kinda got lost and couldn't decipher whether my therapist was talking to me or if anyone was asking me those, "Is that too hard?" questions. *Note to the ladies, if you go in with makeup and you want to keep your face fresh, please let the attendant know you do not want your face rubbed, because they'll rub it. I powdered my face before I left the house and no biggie to me, but just in case you were planning on going to lunch or something. BF and I met at home and I shared my outing to Happy Feet Day Spa. He's stoked and so am I, it's been a while since we've actually made the effort to enjoy and pamper ourselves together, excluding regular outings and dates. And at $40 a person, I can totally talk him into going out for dinner after mmm, can't wait! I don't know if this business is related to Happy Foot Spa like the one located in Monterey on Alvarado St...a quick observation, the business card the woman gave me actually says "Happy Foot" on it. And regarding Happy Foot Spa on Alvarado I feel silly I didn't initially use Yelp to find a massage spot but I guess it must have been my destiny to introduce everyone to Happy Feet Day Spa in Old Town Salinas :) And after reading the Yelp reviews for Happy Foot Spa in DT Monterey, I'm glad I made an appointment in Salinas because it's the weekend of the Monterey Jazz Festival so going in the opposite direction probably saved me time and parking drama today!! read more

I was completely turned off by this place. I went here with a friend and we had two male therapists. They both were chattin loudly with eachother during our massages. My friends masseuse left to use the restroom which we heard the toilet flush but we didn't hear the sink (meaning he didn't wash his hands) eww. On his way back from the bathroom he managed to burp loudly as well, double ewww! My masseuse's hands smelt of cigarette a d his hands were rough hitch made his touching my face very unpleasant. During our massages we hear people coming in n out another customer snoring, and more laughing and chatting. Then at the end the guy says we have to leave a required minimum five dollar tip?! Wth I though type was customer discretion?! Def not coming back the only reason why we came here is because Jings on south main was booked. GO to JINGS! read more

I have been to this place twice now. First time was on a Saturday around 8 PM and the second time around 5 PM. The massage here is good but boy is this place NOISY. The practitioners talk to each other and to the clients in a loud voice. They interrupt the massage to answer the phone (every time it rings) and to greet the clients. They talk to each other while they are massaging (is this really necessary?). Their personal cell phones go off and they stop the massage to answer it!!!. Some lady had an appointment but came in 20 minutes late and had lost her spot. She was not happy (too bad) but then we all had to listen to the uncomfortble exchange between her and the masseuse (who was working on someone) . I know this is not a private massage and the space is shared (and the massage is cheap) but (OWNERS PAY ATTENTION) all this loud talking, answering phones, etc is NOT GOOD for business. You need to get a receptionist for one thing.......This is obviously a cultural thing but what you guys don't understand is that Americans value peace and quiet when getting a massage....These places are popping up like mushrooms all over. People will go somewhere where the atmosphere is peacefull. So far, the sun foot spa on Fremont in Seaside has been the best experience for me. I may try the one on South main across from the high school also. I will post a review for that later. read more

I received the worst customer service of my life at happy feet. The owners wife was the one who gave me my 30 minute massage, mind you she was done within 20 minutes. She also answered the phone while giving me the massage & was eager for the tip she didn't deserve. So if you're in the mood to pay 35 dollars and come out with a headache this is definitely the place for you. read more

WASTE OF TIME! Thank you Yelp raters for letting me down with this one!!! I was so psyched thinking I got a great deal booking an $80 couples massage while in Monterey on vacation. We arrived to a nice little house, however, the door was LOCKED?! (our appt was at 1 pm) Rang the doorbell, and an Asian girl who spoke NO English answered the door, directed us inside, and woke up her ? father, who was asleep in one of the massage rooms. There was not a sole in there aside from us. SKETCHY! He didnt speak English either. The Asian girl kept pointing to our feet and giggling. I looked at my BF, he looked at me, and we high-tailed out of there. SOOOOO SKETCHY!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! read more

It's not worth it it's better to get a real massage and pay the price. I got a massage and they don't know what the hell are you doing. I wasted my $30 on the nothing. I do not recommend this place to anyone get a real massage read more

I have been here a handful of times and been happy each time. It's not going to be your high end spa but if you still want a good massage and don't want to pay for all the atmosphere this is a great place. The prices are very fair. I've paid way more in fancy spas for massages that left me feeling like I didn't get my money's worth. Yes it's not always really quiet and there's some in and out noise. But again - you get what you pay for and ultimately this is a great stop for me while my daughter is in her class around the corner and I have an hour to kill. No complaints from me! read more

This is for the new location on Constitution Blvd in Salinas. The place smelled like old wet carpet. The room for the couples massage was small and the staff kept bumping into each other etc. The lady kept talking to the guy giving me my massage and she continuously kept laughing. I found this disrupting as well as RUDE. We don't know if she was laughing and speaking in her language about us? I expected a relaxing quiet massage!! I just hope they read this and see this as feedback so they can provide a better service and atmosphere. I may go there again but not for the table massage. Also I asked for light pressure and had to keep reminding him to be softer. Today my back is super tender from where he massaged me way too hard. It seems they are a little inexperienced at this service. read more

I made a reservation on my way up north and was a bit skeptical due to some of the negative reviews. I ignored this and wanted to risk it. I should have paid attention to the reviews. For the thirty minutes I spent getting lotion dabbed onto my neck sloppily, I could have learned the Chinese language due to the extensive and constant chatter between employees. Now I'm fine with a few words and here but these were full blown conversations for 30-minutes straight. 1. Massage was not strong(I requested someone strong and preferably male) 2. Owner was complete douche and tried to charge me the full price even when I expressed my dissatisfaction read more
