I had a great experience at Authentic Thai Massage By Patti. I walked out feeling amazing--completely relaxed, and all the muscle soreness I came in with was gone without that post-massage "beat up" feeling you sometimes get. I went with a traditional Thai massage, and it was exactly what I was hoping for: deep, intentional work with a lot of stretching. She even got up on the table to really lean in and get the pressure where it needed to be. No walking on my back, but honestly, she didn't need to--she got plenty of depth without it. The therapist was very friendly and professional. She took the time upfront to ask about my goals, any health issues, and specific areas of pain, which I always appreciate. She does have a fairly strong accent, so I had to focus a bit more at times, but her English is excellent and it didn't take away from the experience at all. I also want to note how professional she was on a personal level. She shared that she had recently gone through a significant loss, and despite that, she remained fully present, kind, and focused throughout the session. That level of dedication really stood out. The environment was spot on. The waiting area was calm and comfortable with a relaxing video playing, and the massage room itself was just right--soothing music, perfect lighting (not too bright, not too dark), and thankfully not overly perfumed. Pricing was actually lower than I expected, especially for the quality of the massage. Definitely felt like a good value. One note: if you like deep tissue work, this is your place. I specifically asked for deep pressure, and she delivered. It got intense at times--but in the best way. In my opinion, a truly therapeutic massage should hurt a little... the ends justify the means, and in this case, they absolutely did. I was planning to go back in two weeks, but honestly, she did such a good job I didn't feel like I needed to. I'm just now starting to feel due again, so I'll be booking another appointment soon. It was very relaxing and therapeutic. Someone that knows how to do a deep tissue massage to get to the knots in my back. I have neck & lower back issues that also need chiropractic care. So I've been looking for someone that can do both or can give a really good deep tissue massage to get my body ready for an adjustment. What a pleasant experience!!! I've had so many massage therapies due to chronic upper and lower body pain but all pales in comparison to Patty's expertise and skill! I came in after having suffered frequent tension headaches and back stiffness. She was able to accommodate me the next day! The reception area was nice, clean and cozy upon arrival. Patty was very professional from start to finish. Her massage therapy room was not only well equipped but the ambience was very relaxing. I had the deep tissue aromatherapy massage which I loved! Patty asked questions to better understand my issues and suggested the type of massage needed. I was just desperate for pain relief so I agreed to a full body deep tissue massage. First of all, Patty is strong and when I mean deep tissue massage, you'll feel it and the immediate relief. As always, you must convey the massage intensity to your therapist and what your preferences are. I was happy to get the firm intensity to loosen the tight knots. After the session, I felt immediate relief and a sense of restored well being. I was pretty sore the day after but par for the course and to be expected. The relief I received from her massage was immediate and I will most definitely, DEFINITELY, come back to see Patty for my future massage therapies! Once past the older exterior of the building, the place inside is pretty and clean. Lights are dimmed and the room is heavily scented, but I loved how cozy it felt to be inside. Patti was very welcoming, with the heated table, light spa music, and the tea and cookies after the massage. Patti was amazing!!! She really knows what she's doing. My fave was that she was able to pop my back like no one else ever has! I appreciate that the oils she used didnt seem scented, and I liked that she left it on, as opposed to other places that wipe it off with a wet towel. She was very gentle and nurturing while working on my body, yet she easily applied pressure where she needed too. Patti is incredible. She truly understands the body & cares about the work she's doing. I went in not knowing exactly what to expect but it was great. She did a half regular/half thai massage because I had never had a thai massage before & everything was really tight. The Thai portion of the massage is very interactive - you don't just lay there. You're being stretched and she's holding you in positions then asks you to move certain ways to work or stretch certain muscles. She used a fair amount of pressure (which I prefer) but made sure to keep checking in throughout the session ensuring I was comfortable. I appreciated that she found the knots and the really tight areas and spent extra time there. There have been many massages where I left feeling like they didn't customize what they do to match my needs. As if there's a cookie cutter way to give a massage.
