I've had my eyebrows and facials done by both Liz and Bo and both have a gift for bringing out the best look in each individual. The location is near oldtown Salinas with plenty of parking on the street and in the parking lot. The interior of the salon is warm and inviting and gives you a sense of relaxation. On any given day the salon will have cucumber iced water, candy to snack on, and one of the ladies will pamper you with a warm neck wrap while you wait for your appointment. Currently I see Bo. She is timely, professional, and does an outstanding job making sure your eyebrows look their best. She is flexible with her schedule, easy to contact, and has late afternoon appointments available. Her warm greeting and calm demeanor help to carry the feeling of relaxation through the whole experience at Flawless Beauty. I highly recommend her. Make sure you sign up for their text/email distribution a they have fun events throughout the year with freebies, discounts, and classes to take advantage of. However, when we came in, we did not get greeted - like at all and it was unfortunate because there was two ladies at the front desk Yolanda and Amarie (Amarie was helping another customer and her service seem great. I wish she could've been the one helping us.) on the flyer for the package. There were some add-on services that I had inquired about and that girl Yolanda pretty much told me she didn't know and never got back to me. Didn't ask if Manny the masseuse did not look into it for me it would've been a bust. He offered an alternative service as far as a foot mask. That was an even better option for us so we were pretty thankful for that, but if I had left it up to the other girl, it would've just been when it was . confusion and a whole bunch of nothing Yolanda was the girl that helped us again no greeting She kind of just waved us to the back, pointed at the robes ask us our shoe size and that was really it Once we were changed standing there awkwardly, she walked me into a room and left my mom in the hallway and then asked me. Did you tell your mom to come -I looked at her like girl I don't even know what's going on so why would I tell her to come once we went to the room? It was like again we were kind of just sitting there like what's going on a few minutes later she brought in a glass of champagne for my mom so we hung out there for about 30 minutes before they took us back for the massage. I think it was a really big missed opportunity to say "hello Welcome to aqua blue. My name is so-and-so thank you for booking this package" or happy Mother's Day whatever but she literally didn't greet us at all. My mom looked bummed that it was starting off with a really lackluster experience I paid $400 for this package You would think once they saw my reservation for such a package they would've at least acknowledged it in some way By the time we got upstairs, I was pretty frustrated with the service we were receiving -thank goodness Ruben and Manny were really friendly and helpful. It probably would've been lower stars if Manny wouldn't have been so unbelievably sweet, caring and compassionate. My mom was really struggling getting off her jewelry and nobody would help her. I have really long nails so I was struggling. Manny was the only person nice enough to attempt to help her and put it back on after the massage was completed To be honest for $400 I was pretty disappointed. Manny did a great job and I am very thankful for him. My mom was really happy with Ruben. But did I feel like I was there getting a luxurious experience for Mother's Day absolutely not! Did I feel like we were bothering them with a groupon package absolutely! The advertise these chocolates that they had, I asked about them they didn't have any available. It just seemed like a lot of missed opportunities and we were there the day before Mother's Day so any of the ladies that went on actual Mother's Day We're probably super bummed that they didn't have any of the accoutrement offered. Sad part is the following weekend. I took my mom to happy feet down the street and she got a foot and neck massage and I got a neck and shoulder massage and the total was $70 and to be honest I felt more relaxed when I was leaving there, then I did with aqua blue . I'm kind of glad I decided to do that because honestly, I was going to book with Manny again because he was amazing but with those prices to not be happy was pretty unacceptable. My dad passed recently, so Mother's Day had proven to be harder than expected. That's why I wanted to do something extra special for her this year by booking the spa. We have been to massage envy before and that's honestly where I was gonna go this time, but I was trying to do an elevated experience that was outside of a corporate place but honestly, I think even the value at massage envy is greater than here because again with those prices to not be happy it's just crappy honestly it took me a while to write the review because I didn't want to seem Like I didn't enjoy the time with my mom. I absolutely did. I just didn't enjoy the lack of customer service- if I was paying what I paid over there at happy feet this would've been a five star review but $400 later to leave unsatisfied.... All I'm saying is I'm down to spend some money and I'm down to spend some good money on quality stuff. I just feel kind of ripped off.

I've only had them on for 4 days, so I can't speak on the longevity of Nicole's work, but I can tell you that I'm really happy with the way they look. The only reason I considered 4 stars is because the shop is very plain. There are no bells or whistles... and I'm OK with that because Nicole does great work. I'm very picky about my lashes. I've been getting lash extension since 2008, so I'm not a rookie. I used to get my lashes done is San Jose and Los Gatos. The techs there are skilled and there seems to be a lash salon on every corner. We moved to Marina 2 months ago, and I was bummed that I couldn't find a good lash person in Monterey or Carmel. The quality of work just wasn't was I was used, especially for the price. Driving to San Jose for fills was becoming such a pain, so I decided to try Nicole based on the Yelp reviews. Here's what I like: Nicole is friendly and clean. I liked the fact that I could smell hand sanitizer (or soap) on her hands. She uses good products. I can't remember the lash size she used, but they were soft to the touch and perfect for my eyes. They are thick enough to be seen, but not so thick that they weigh my eyelids down or look like I'm wearing falsies. The glue she used didn't both me (sometimes during allergy season, I can be extra sensitive to the glue). Nicole is fairly quick. I think it took an hour for a fill. Now understand, this was the first time I saw Nicole. She was doing a fill on someone else's work, so I think an hour is pretty decent. Nicole's prices are reasonable, especially for the end result. What I really like and appreciate about Nicole is that she is REALLY gentle. I have an extra-sensitive lash line, and she never once made me flinch. There was no pulling or yanking of my old lashes. I could actually relax and enjoy my time on the table.

I originally called because I wanted to get both my nails and a pedicure done for my friend's…read morewedding. Unfortunately, the experience was so uncomfortable that I left before even getting my nails done. I came in wanting a simple pedicure with a light purple polish. I originally asked for the mid-tier pedicure, but I felt repeatedly pressured to upgrade to the most expensive option until I finally gave in. I also gave the technician the exact number of the polish color I wanted. She came back twice with different colors and kept telling me, "this one better," instead of bringing me the color I had chosen. I had to repeatedly insist that I just wanted the original color. The worst part was the actual pedicure. My feet did not feel particularly clean afterward, there was polish left on my skin, and the technician removed enough skin from my toe that I was bleeding and left with a visible raw area/gash. When I questioned her about what happened, she told me, "It's not that bad. It will be okay." I found that incredibly dismissive considering I was bleeding from a service that was supposed to be relaxing and leave my feet looking better. At that point, I no longer felt comfortable staying to have my nails done and left. So now, instead of leaving with my nails and toes done for my friend's wedding, I'm going to the wedding without my nails done and with a painful, visible injury on my foot. I really wish my choices had simply been respected from the beginning. I didn't want upgrades or different colors. I just wanted the pedicure I asked for and light purple polish. I definitely did not expect to leave bleeding.
