This review is a 3-part review based on different therapists 11/4/23 BELKIS: Belkis is 1 of 3 therapists that do Deep Tissue Massages and was absolutely HORRIBLE! First, Belkis used her elbows for almost the entirety of the session. I have a very high tolerance for pain as many of my massages were to help alleviate pain from either injury or surgery recovery, which is extremely painful, so for me to tell a therapist they are hurting me is a lot. I had to ask BELKIS to stop on several occasions, because she dug her elbow into me and put all her body weight into it and I almost jumped off the table on several occasions because the pain was mind numbing. I told her to stop on many occasions and she just acted like I was being a baby about it! I woke up the next day with a bunch of Black & Blues and was so tender the touch that if my husband tried to caress me, I cringed from the PAIN! all in all I would give BELKIS ZERO STARS!!! She does not even earn 1 star in my opinion. 12/8/23 NILDA: Nilda is the 2nd of 3 therapists at this location who does Deep Tissue massages, and I was very happy with how she performed. Nilda was very knowledgeable, skilled, and personable and had a nice range of hand strength. She had a knack for finding my knots and working them out. Of course, there were times when it hurt but that's the nature of deep tissue massages and working out tight muscles. By the end of the session, I was relaxed and limber. I give NILDA 5 Stars. 1/2/24 YAIMA: Yaima is the 3rd and final therapist at this location that does Deep Tissue massages and was highly recommended by Nilda. I am very happy to say that of the 3 she is by far the BEST. She was extremely knowledgeable and really knew how to hone in on all my little knots and tense areas. What I liked best was that she was able to focus on my very tender spots with minimal pain. She put a lot of effort into my lower back/Neck & shoulders and although it was very tense, she was able to work it in a way that allowed me to breathe through it without piercing pain. Don't get me wrong it hurt, but the method she used to attack the areas was amazing. By far the best experience I've had in a LONG time. I can't wait to return for another massage by Yaima! She is phenomenal and I recommend her highly. 5 out of 5 stars for sure!!! The location is maintained well, rooms are very clean, as well as the bathroom & waiting area. The front office employees are super nice and pleasant. I'm only giving the location 4 stars instead of 5 because the BELKIS experience was simply unforgivable! 1/28/26 UPDATE: Do date both Nilda & Yaima are my GO TO Therapists for much needed massages. They are both helping me recover from a Full Knee Replacement surgery and my Physical therapist, as well as my Surgeon are amazed at how much range of motion I have in such a short period of time. I get massages on a weekly basis (with my surgeons approval of course!) and both ladies really do an incredible job loosening up my super tense leg muscles. The hardest part of recovering from this type of surgery from what I've gathered is trying to get your muscles to loosen up enough to regain full mobility and flexibility. I love that I have 2 fantastic therapists because if one is unavailable I'm usually lucky enough to get the other. The weekly massages along with my daily physical therapy have me walking like all is well. I still have a long way to go but I am confident that my recovery will continue to advance with my girls by my side. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Therapists are great. Administration/owner are thieves. Charged me $70 for an appointment I didn't use. They say they sent a reminder which I clearly didn't get. How do I know? They tried sending me a text message while I was at their front desk and it didn't arrive. Proof I didn't receive it. Then I asked why I didn't receive the message for the 90 minute massage I had today? The person at the desk said "we don't send out reminders for same day appointments." Furthermore, if you do appointments through the Massage Envy app it uses a different reminder system then if you call-in the appointment. They also had me check email. Reminder not there. Owner/Administration obviously doesn't care about their clientele. They did nothing to correct the situation. It is obvious to me there is a deficiency in their process, and this is a problem between Corporate and the Franchisee. Not a problem between the Client and the Franchisee. My wife and I will take our business somewhere else and they will lose roughly $250/month in recurring revenue. Stay away from this place!!!! read more

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time with Massage Envy. I originally booked a massage for Friday at 7:00 PM. About 1.5 hours before my appointment, I was called and told it had to be canceled because my massage therapist was leaving early. Annoying, but fine. They rescheduled me for Saturday at 2:00 PM. Later, I called to see if I could push that appointment to 5:00 PM the same day. I was told someone would call me back to confirm. No one did. I had to call again, and Hannah at the front desk said she was "just about to call me" (sure). She confirmed they could do 5:00 PM, initially with a male therapist. I said no, I had requested a female therapist. She then said, no problem, and confirmed I was set for 5:00 PM with a female massage therapist. Great. Or so I thought. I show up 15 minutes early for my appointment, only to be told by another front desk employee that I'm not on the schedule at all. She calls Hannah (on speaker), and Hannah flat-out lies, claiming she told me the appointment was canceled which absolutely did NOT happen. If it had, why would I waste my time and physically show up? To make matters worse, they had already charged me a cancellation fee for an appointment I was never informed was canceled. The front desk employee then calls the manager (also on speaker). The manager showed zero concern, zero accountability, and literally told her to "do whatever you want." That's it. No apology. No attempt to fix the situation. No ownership of the mess. By that point, I was so frustrated that even if a massage magically appeared, I wouldn't have been able to relax anyway. This location is poorly managed, disorganized, and unprofessional. Between last-minute cancellations, misinformation, outright lying, and charging fees for their own mistakes, I would not recommend this Massage Envy to anyone. read more

I've been frequenting this location for the reason that the Westechester area really doesn't have any nearby. I recommend you book in advance because it's very hard to get appointments the day of. Their massage therapists are pretty good and listen to what you need. You have to speak up if you want a specific area worked on or the amount of pressure. They are therapists not mind readers. They are also respectful if you need silence or feeling chatty that session. I enjoy this location although I wish they would bring the tea and water cooler back. read more

I paid for one hour massage and I only got 40min... I arrived 5min before 12 but they made me wait 10min on the waiting room .. which is ok but I didn't know that those 10min will be taking from my time... then when I complaint because I got in at 12:10 and massage ended at 12:50, the front desk lady said it's normal because it's the time people take to change Really !??? of Course I was upset and on top of that she tried to sell me a membership. Read the reviews! The one star reviews are not lying. I wish I had seen them before. I am having the same exact experience several other members are having. It is not a few disgruntled members. The customer service is terrible, which is a shame because the massage therapists I had were really good. The issue I am having is with the monthly membership. I signed up and made use of it for awhile. Then I cancelled it and received confirmation from Customer Service in the form of an e-mail that it was successfully cancelled. 4 months later, they continue to charge my credit card and every time I call, they tell me I didn't cancel my membership, and when I ask to speak to the person who sent me the e-mail confirmation, she's "not available" or she has someone else talk to me. Incredibly unprofessional. We go in circles where they ask me to send the e-mail confirmation, I send it back to them, they tell me they will refund the charges. They never do. They charge me again. Round and round we go. I used a credit card for this, so now I have called my credit card company and disputed the charges and have now discussed it with the credit card company as fraud, which my credit card company agrees and is going to look into. They've cancelled my current card and are issuing me a new card, but it's a hassle to have to go through all of this because one company can't properly do their job or someone is flat our refusing to. I don't know what it is. Also be aware, that this is a franchise, so the same customer service team manages the Coral Gables and Mid-Town locations. I would NOT recommend doing the monthly membership. It's definitely a scam!!! read more

Dirty , run down location. The "therapist" didn't ask me any questions regarding the reason for my visit and just lathered an obscene amount of lotion on me. To add insult to injury , her breath smelled liked a mixture of rotten food and perfume. I had to hold my breath on multiple occasions which made my experience extra special. They try to sell you a discount offer without telling you is a 6 month contract, meaning if you decide to cancel you have to email the cancellation 60 days before the contract ends or it auto renews. They won't cancel it and they will continue to charge you every single month. They will tell you that the manager will call you and that it will take 4 business day, that never happens. You'll end up calling back and trying to cancel this with your credit card company. Horrible. They should have said it's a 6 month contract and you can't cancel it ever, you pay or you pay no matter if you want or don't want the service. I had scheduled a massage for early Saturday afternoon but realized the day before that it would be more convenient on the Friday . I called and they were able to promptly change my appointment and offer me a few options for friday. I went in for my monthly massage and This was my favorite massage thus far. I was surprised to find there is now a members lounge where you can wait in before receiving your services. You can sit in the comfy chairs and have coffee, water, or tea. I get my monthly massages with Maykal and he's great!!! I would definitely recommend him for massage services. I have been going there for a year and thought I had found a good therapist. I have alot of physical pains (joint/muscles) and it was helping me until last month's massage. I asked the therapist if would do a 1.5 or 2 hr session next month and her response was "You do not qualify for this, I leave this for my big tippers." I was floored, she totally caught me off guard and to be honest, I don't need a money hungry person massaging my body. I still can not believe her response. I booked an appointment for back pain I was experiencing. Online process was easy. Upon arriving the 15 minutes early to fill out their digital form, I specifically asked to focus on my shoulders, back, and glutes, and said I did not consent to any foot massage. After starting 7 minutes late, the masseuse I got knew zero English, which is fine, but it is unlikely that they were able to read the digital form. No glutes and they massaged my feet. The massage was over before it hit the next hour, so it seems like it should have been longer. I would rate lower but the massage did help with the pain I was experiencing. read more

The Doral location of Massage Envy has numerous great massage therapists. Some locations only have one or two good ones. I've been coming here for years and never had a bad one. The facials are also excellent, especially for the price. I would summarize my experience with massage envy as satisfactory. The staff was pleasant and helpful. I came for a facial and a full body massage on two separate occasions within a week. I thought the facial didn't include much and the extraction portion was shorter than what I'm used to. The facial also included a lot of massaging of your hand. I think a lot of time was spent on this that I would have rather have been spent on my face. The full body massage was good. The massage therapist stuck to my preferences and massaged as I requested. I enjoyed the tea that is available in the waiting area. I do find that they are a little pushy with the membership rates. This location is located in a busy shopping strip mall with plenty of parking. read more

I came here once with a giftcard my boyfriend gave me. I enjoyed the service and wanted to buy my mother a massage. I asked for the cost of a regular massage and the receptionist told me it was $40, i paid the price and put it in a giftcard. My mom went a few weeks later and was charged $50 more, a total value of $90 for a massage, because she all ready had a membership (which i didnt know, and the receptionist didnt care to disclose that information). Terrible customer service. I had set up an appointment as a surprise for my mother's birthday. Not only did they call my mother regarding the session and ruin the surprise (which I had set specific instructions about not calling her.) but they ended up cancelling my appointment the day before because the masseuse they scheduled me decided to go out of town and they couldn't find anyone to cover her. So let me start off by saying the facility is very clean. The staff is very friendly. I signed up for the monthly so I was forced to take care of myself. I have had 3 massages so far and have been very pleased. The facial was absolutely the best I have had. I started with a 90 min cannot wait to book again. To the person who complained about extraction. Go to a dermatologist. Facial does not mean deep extraction. A great facial is about cleansing and regeneration. Try different massage therapists to find the one. Great location. Keep up the great work. This was a ridiculous experience. Conchita, my massage envy "massage therapist" was a lovely woman. Everything that could've gone wrong with the employee on the phone to set the appointment happened. Complete Lack of customer service, employee knowledge, tending to the customers abs potential new members, like us. The facility is freezing. The massage rooms are freezing. And all of the therapist seem tired and bored. We made an appointment for two people and after I went in my friends sat in the reception area for almost an hour. Well, I really don't know why these things happen, I guess it's business. But there is something I want to let all members know. It's super disappointing after more than a year having services with these people when the time comes for you to cancel and you stop importing and they don't even try to help you anymore! I canceled and I had two hours pending because they touched me and when I call to schedule that I had the appointment I always received a text message the same day, and well in this ovation it did not happen and very conveniently they took away the time I paid! For a service that was not performed! I told the person to please send me a reminder and It was never received ! The next day I got a cancellation email and when I call again to see if they could help me like they have done before, they denied it! This happens once you cancel the membership! And before it had never happened to me! They were always willing to help. A service that waspaid !! And it was not realized !! I had my membership for a year and accumulated sessions due to the faCt that I couldn't make it to the sessions becAuse of work. When I canceled I was told that I can transfer my sessions and then when I found time to do so the employees tell me I cannot. If I could give this location 0 stars, I absolutely would. This location was the worst. Horrible customer service. I booked a couples massage and they put us in separate rooms. The 3 staff members working weren't even capable of PRETENDING to find a solution to the problem instead looked at each other and proceeded to do nothing so my boyfriend and I were forced to get separate sessions. I was called in a minute or two AT MOST after my boyfriend and they did not even check to see if his session had started to further accommodate us. Completely unprofessional and I went into my session extremely upset. Did not relax. Did not enjoy it one bit. When paying the gentleman there tried offering me a membership.....what in the world what make him think I'd return to that location after this terrible experience???!! I booked an early morning 10am appointment on a weekday. The staff assured me a therapist was available for that day and time. The staff sat me in a room for 15 minutes with hot tea and I could over hear the confusion on lack of therapist for the morning appointments. Once they figured it out, the therapist had me change and the massage began 25 minutes late. The therapist was awesome. Only for that reason would I ever consider returning. Then, She ended 5 minutes early. Therefore, I was jipped out of my massage almost 30 minutes. At checkout they tried to sell me a package and I totally understand the need to up sell however, I mentioned they started late. The front desk personnel explained they needed 5 minutes for changing on each end. Ok fine, but I feel taken considering they started 25 minutes late. Zero stars should be an option for today's experience and also would not recommend going here if you don't speak Spanish. Today my boyfriend went in for a massage for the third time with the same therapist hoping to get some work done on sore/tight muscles and knots. He was already a little apprehensive because the massage last week was so painful and basically a whole hour only on the legs with pain for 3 days after. The first issue was being put in the room and having to wait almost 10 min to start. He specifically asked to only work on the back because it was too painful on the legs last time. Also noted that shoulders and chest were sore from working out in the morning. The massage therapist had a terrible attitude and basically offended that she couldn't do the massage her way. She started the massage with very hard pressure on the legs, when asked not to? Continued with very hard pressure on all areas that were asked to go light on. Her behavior and actions were extremely unprofessional and I don't understand how she even has a job here. If you want to pay for an hour of pain and discomfort feel free to come here. read more

This was my first ever massage My mom made me an appointment as an early birthday present. We arrive about 10 minutes late, our appointments were for 4pm. Right away I meet my massage therapist Rosa and she asks me what areas I would like her to focus on and what level of pressure I wanted. What a great massage, I left there feeling so relaxed. I would recommend this location to anyone. The staff is very nice and I was very happy with my massage. It is very clean on the inside and the lights are all dimmed to ensure that you can relax and enjoy the experience. I will be returning soon. read more
