So I thought what a steal, must purchase duhhh! But then I came to Yelp, and no review was found :( However, I was blown away!! & now I can be the first to review. D & S Holistic center is literally a hidden gem. From the outside, it just looks like a business center, the mysterious type that you can only see your reflection instead of the inside. I went in though and it looked like a doctor's office. Nice welcoming green couch and some chairs and a square window to talk to the employees through on the other side. I caught the director/owner there. His name is Delfi Monteagudo and he specializes in chiropractic treatment, acupuncture, massage therapy and nutrition. So this is not your run of the mill spa. They actually know what they're doing. He was so nice and gave me some pamphlets. They even hold seminars and workshops to teach on aromatherapy, Ayurveda, diets, herbs, etc. Mari, my massage therapists, came out after I had filled in some paperwork to make sure I had no alergies to oils and to find out what areas she needed to concentrate on. She took me into a room that was so nice. Dim lighting, comfortable massaging table with that little circle thing to put your head on. She gave me privacy to undress and once I was ready to go, she knocked and came in. She asked me through out the whole process, if the pressure was okay. She put on some background relaxing music, put some oil on her hands, and got to work. She massaged my neck, my back, my sides, then she went on to my legs and side buttox (hehe) and my feet. My favorite part was when she put these steaming hot towels on my back and pressed down and then rubbed off the oil. So good. The hole in the head pillow stand thingy (sorry for my lack on knowledge on this term lol) was probably a bad idea because I can guarantee I was drooling through my hour massage. Nevertheless, my hour was up and I got quickly dressed to rush to work. I've been in a trance ever since. So calm, and serene (which was the name of my room btw!). They have different tipes of massages ranging from Swedish Aromatherapy, Deep Muscular, Warm Stone, Reflexology, Thia, Shiatsu, etc. An hour message runs at about $100 and an hour and a half at $129. I recommend this place to everyone. The location and staff were so nice. I couldn't have asked for a better deal, and I still have one more massage left haha. Don't be jealous@!

A little pricey, but the hair cutter did an amazing job and the waxing was very well done too. Today, I tried to do a walk in appointment for a hair cut, and to my dismay, my favorite hair cutter no longer existed. Now the spa is mostly for massages and hot tubs. When you walk into the spa it is not very extravagant and it looks very small. It is long, not wide. You will be greeted upon entering business. Before today I would have rated this location 4 stars, but due to the lack of a variety of services, I have down graded my rating. If you do make an appointment, be sure to give yourself extra time to drive to the Spa. The traffic is very intense and it takes me about 30 minutes to get there in rush hour and I am located about 3.3 miles from the location. Note: For non Spanish speakers, employees speak English, just be patient.

This place was by far the worst ever without competition. First it cost $120 for the cheapest massage (Swedish) they have. Way overpriced in anybody's book. Even NYCi is less than $60 for an hour. It lasted about 40 minutes maximum. She was an extremely overweight and unattractive hispanic lady who spoke minimal English at best. I had to repeditely ask her to apply more pressure, but litterally she would only massage my skin surface and rarely gave enough pressure to touch a muscle. I was severly un-impressed. Avoid this place unless you like donating your money to a worthless business place. Seriously!

They type with multiple suites that are all different businesses and you need a key to use the bathroom in the hallway. My original appointment was for Friday at 2. A few hours before my scheduled appointment, I get a text message saying to call. When I call I am told they can't accommodate my appointment because of some scheduled maintenance? So this wasn't known when I made my appointment? They claimed to be completely booked Saturday and Sunday. Monday night was our flight out they said we could to do it Monday after 1. I was slightly annoyed about the change but then I figured a massage to end my mothers birthday weekend would be lovely. Since we were coming with luggage and had to take a 25 minute Uber to this place and wasn't familiar with the area we left early. We ended up arriving 45 mins early for our appointment. There is no waiting area, the door was locked, no one was at the suite nor did anyone answer the phone. My mom thought I was scammed. We stood outside in the parking lot. But it was a scorching 95 degree day. So we went back inside to wait in the hallway by the elevators. 10 mins before our appointment the masseuse arrives. We didn't know it was her until we went to check in 5 mins to 2. She was nice. She took my Groupon code. When she opened the door. There was a little waiting area with a couch. Then we were ushered into a quiet, relaxing, dimly lit room that smelled soothing and had two massage tables, a small table and chair. We were told to disrobe and lay on either table and but the towel over us. Shortly after the lady who greeted us and another lady came in to do our massages. Before I go into the massages I will preface this by saying I've had many professional massages in different states and countries. From fancy spas with multiple saunas, different temperature controlled pools, full bar, kitchens to stand alone parlors that are small and intimate to private massages on the beach in Puerta Vallarta. The massages my mom and I received at vita hands was the most painful massage I ever had. Everything from technique, to pressure used was horrible. My bf gives me foot massages that put me to sleep and he's a construction worker. When the lady massaged my feet I winced. I've never had deep tissue and I know that some people say it may be uncomfortable and/or a good hurt. But this was straight up painful and nearly a week later my mother and I are still in pain. She scratched me a few times with her nails. Her hair touched me on multiple occasions. Why wasn't it up? She also had some if her body weight on me at certain times like she was tired. when it was over I didn't feel relaxed and limber. I was in pain. I fell asleep during every other massage I had. Not this one. I wasn't in pain when I arrived but I was when I left. The only positive aspect of the massage was the hot towels, brief use of hot stones and the brief massage of my neck and ears. They gave delicious cinnamon tea, water and some crackers after. They seemed to be pushy and rushing us to leave at the end. I didn't like that. I tipped $20 more out of muscle memory. But I instantly regretted it. I would not recommend or return. I'm definitely not getting another deep tissue massage from anywhere.
