One of the best massages I've ever had. She knew exactly where to concentrate and exactly how much pressure to use! Highly recommended!

These guys are terrific...having known Tim...(Shelbournes's surgical nurse)...and Tim's effusive…read moreespousal rants on how good this guy is...and Tim being a connoisseur of craft beer...duhhh....obviously going here first. A hyper efficient operation with hardly any waiting...everyone did their job with the utmost professionalism, care, and with good humor. I am not always easy to deal with...and strangely not everyone gets, or is appreciative of.....my humor. Everyone here did so with enthusiastic alacrity....and were parrying quite well with their own snarky remarks. Dr. Shelbourne examined my knee thoroughly and without making me scream like a little girl...thanks ! I left with confidence my knee would get better and hold up...this was quite important to me at this particular time as it is when I put together my ski trips...which are damn expensive...and the minor investment in time and $$ was well worth it to be fairly sure that I would be in reasonable ski shape this season. Pricing was very reasonable and they sent the paperwork to my insurance company to apply to my deductible. I cannot imagine going anywhere else for knee issues...

Dr. Shelbourne performed surgery on my knee a month later and I followed EVERYTHING he said to do and was back on the floor playing basketball the following year. I also played semi-professional basketball after college and owe it all to Dr. Shelbourne and his staff!!!! I am very thankful for everything he has done for me and would highly recommend him.

I feel kind of silly "reviewing" a medical practice but these guys saved my mobility. I'm 45 and…read moreruptured my quad tendon as we were loading up my daughter's stuff for her sophomore year of college. Apparently every movement of my body was tied in through this tendon because I couldn't walk, and when I tried I would collapse. Within a day of the examination I was in surgery. Within a week of surgery i was out of the immobilizer and into a mega-robo-brace AND WALKING. Sure it was with crutches but I could already use myles and flex my quad muscle. I am now working with PT to strengthen but less then a month post-op I am walking without crutches but still with my leg brace. Amazing I had two really rough days of pain after the surgery, but they're careful to send you home with just the right amount of pain medication. Dr. Rettig was assigned to me but you could also recognize him on the sidelines with the Colts as their ortho specialist. When I was in surgery recovery, I was next door to a Raiders tight-end (who shall remain nameless). Amazing experience. Amazing group of professionals.

Today, my shoulder is 95% and I am back to swimming, cycling, and doing routine tasks with ease.

This is just the follow-up for the surgery performed by Dr. Andrew Vicar at OrthIndy off of West…read more86th Street. Dr. Vicar was on-time, friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable. He has a great personality and a professional sense of humor plus explained the surgery thoroughly. He met with my husband and I before they took me back to surgery to answer any last minute questions. OrthoIndy and their staff were phenomenal from the check-in staff, nurses, surgery team and everyone we encountered. All were professional with smiles on their faces while being team players in all aspects of my care. The surgical option was a minor surgery and done under a local anesthesia. I know, that sounds scary but Dr. Vicar reassured me I'd only feel a pinch for a couple seconds. I trusted him even though the last trigger finger surgery I had was done under full anesthesia. I was wide awake and comfortable throughout the entire procedure and did not feel any pain. Dr. Vicar, and his team, was very calming and laid back during the surgery chatting with each other and myself. I was extremely pleased with the entire procedure and if needed, I'll return to him in the future. The post-op follow-up to remove my stitches was timely, friendly and I was in and out quickly. Great overall experience! Dr. Vicar repairs mainly hand, wrist and elbow injuries. Patients with carpal tunnel syndrome, fractures (hand & distal radius), tennis elbow, athletic with throwing injuries or those nasty fingertip injuries (i.e. car doors) are a few diagnosis he repairs. If it isn't an injury Dr. Vicar handles, he can refer you to one of the many different physicians within OrthoIndy. Very pleased and surprised the local did the job.

Honestly time and time again I'm blown away at how utterly disappointing orthoindy and it's doctors…read moreare. This is far from the first bad experience I've had with them but it for sure is going to be the last time I or any of my family will be returning. Last Monday I Broke my ankle in 4 different places and have a lesion in my taller dome from falling down the stairs (mind you the community south ER Doctor was extremely thorough in explaining everything that was seen on the XRay,what surgery odds we were looking at, and what our next steps should look like.) today (the following Wednesday) I had to go to the brownsburg orthoindy office to be seen to know if I need surgery. The nurses were nice enough (though they were complaining in front of patients about having to do their job) but when Dr. greenfield arrived, he spent the whole 8 minutes that he was actually with us shitting on the ER and its staff, stating "they really played up how bad the injury is to you and that they don't know how to read X-rays", minimizing my pain (I've been without pain meds for 3 days now) then he then told me that the lesion and 3 of my breaks were "old injuries" (mind you, I have never broken my ankle in my life) he made us very aware that he doesn't have time to answer questions or for bedside manner. I had knee replacement surgery 13 years ago and it needs to be looked at again, but I haven't been able to do such, because of that, the crutches that I was given at the ER are basically unusable because I can't jump around on my bad knee, Dr. Greenfield denied not only the wheelchair so that I can be mobile but also stated that over the counter ibuprofen and some baby aspirin would suffice for swelling and pain (I CANT SLEEP BECAUSE OF THIS PAIN and am in tears constantly due to it,) Dr.greenfield told me I would have to come back every two days to splint my leg to get it to a 90° angle before they could address anything else, then they resplinted my leg in the exact same position that it was already splinted from the ER. $200 upfront for this appointment for absolutely NOTHING to be done. What break he did say I had was in the bone that connects from my foot to my pinky toe..... I'm no doctor but the bruising I have alone appears to indicate more than (in Greenfield's words) "one Tiny fracture" All I can say is, I would hate for the surgeons that work at OrthoIndy to get the type of care that they deliver when they're in times of need..
