Each of the massage therapists is certified to perform safe prenatal massages. They have an easy online booking system (which I appreciated). I showed up and everyone was masked (March 2022) which I was thankful for, being pregnant. They offered me a glass of water while I completed the waivers and were very friendly! (I was the first appointment of the day.) I went into the room and the therapist thoroughly explained how the whole massage would go and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted her to focus on. The table was extremely comfortable for a pregnant person :) special pillow/mat with holes to accommodate your growing body and the ability to lay on my stomach (which I've missed!) and there was no pressure anywhere on my body. Just laying on the table was worth the whole massage! Lol halfway through I rolled over and she replaced the belly mat with a large wedge, so I didn't have to lay flat. The only thing I'd suggest would be having white noise or meditation music and or candles/aroma therapy. It was very quiet, but that would've put it over the top with comfort. He didn't miss! Jomar was wonderful. Son had scheduled for Swedish massage but I needed a firmer touch. Jomar graciously accommodated the change and provided the best massage I've had! He was very mindful of getting in tune with what I needed. There was no need for me to give him instruction after my initial request - he just worked his magic! I scheduled again with Jomar this week. He did not disappoint!! Deep tissue this time was perfect. I was feeling a little under the weather before my appointment, so I called to make sure it was OK if I still came in. I was encouraged to still come in since I wasn't contagious. Best decision! I now see another amazing massage therapist at Indy Massage Company named Matthew. He is pretty great, and I look forward to relaxing on his table each month at IMC. He is intuitive and firm yet incredibly gentle, and I'm able to just surrender and let him work his magic. I've mostly only booked Swedish massages with him, but one time I booked a longer session where he really worked out the muscles in my upper back and shoulders, which really needed attention. More than 20 years in the Massage Therapy world as a therapist giving massage and I love the work and receiving the work more each year. I have gone to Massage and Healing Center 6 times and each time had a different therapist. What I marvel at specifically is the excellence of each individual therapist. I have sent friends here as gifts and they report back to me their therapists were also excellent which makes me so happy. The professionalism Is beyond reproach. The rooms are cozy and super clean which is important . Often the owner is at the front desk and so gracious and warm, it's a pleasure to just show up or stop by to book. My one suggestion is, if you're like me and like to take advantage of all the possible add ons or specialties, make sure your therapist is aware of the details booked. I like to add an extra half hour of foot reflexology to the end of my main massage no matter what I booked and one time somehow therapist didn't know. She did do the whole time I paid for and she was wonderful and it was just an epic massage, period. I just need the reflexology for my neuropathy from diabetes. I can only sing the praises of the full time I received but if you're like me and need something specific tell your therapist before you start. Anthony was downstairs in the lobby waiting on me to guide me back to his studio, which was relaxing and calming the second I walked in the door. After a quick consultation about what I wanted him to focus on and what I wanted him to avoid, he stepped out of the room and I was under the heated table in seconds. I like a little more pressure everywhere except the back of my neck, and he adjusted his pressure exactly how I wanted it. I had several knots on my shoulders and he worked them out in a way that didn't make the rest of my body tense up. I only booked a 60 minute appointment because that's what he had available, but it went by way too fast. Next time I'll book a 90 minute and will probably continue to do so for the foreseeable future.

The table was heated and felt so good since it was about 30 degrees outside! She used lotion during the massage and it left my skin so moisturized. I also liked that the room had its own bathroom off of it- great thinking when they build this center! Amy was so kind, professional, and wanted to make sure I enjoyed my massage. It was easy to relax with the instrumental music she had playing lightly in the background. I would recommend coming here and I would love to come back!
