It was my husbands first massage and Anthony did a great job "easing" him into it and working on problem areas.

Each of the massage therapists is certified to perform safe prenatal massages. They have an easy online booking system (which I appreciated). I showed up and everyone was masked (March 2022) which I was thankful for, being pregnant. They offered me a glass of water while I completed the waivers and were very friendly! (I was the first appointment of the day.) I went into the room and the therapist thoroughly explained how the whole massage would go and made sure she knew exactly what I wanted her to focus on. The table was extremely comfortable for a pregnant person :) special pillow/mat with holes to accommodate your growing body and the ability to lay on my stomach (which I've missed!) and there was no pressure anywhere on my body. Just laying on the table was worth the whole massage! Lol halfway through I rolled over and she replaced the belly mat with a large wedge, so I didn't have to lay flat. The only thing I'd suggest would be having white noise or meditation music and or candles/aroma therapy. It was very quiet, but that would've put it over the top with comfort. Seriously an amazing way to start my day and I can't wait to go back!

Mary Ann is a brilliant professional who knows exactly where the problem areas are, and makes me feel so much better. She has many loyal clients, because of her skill and empathic touch. I love the heated massage bed and relaxing music during the massage. Levo is located in a beautiful historic building in the heart of Mass Ave, right beside Coat Check Coffee within the Athenaeum building. Convenient to schedule with your workout at the YMCA gym in the same building, then make it a night out and check out the Chatterbox for live jazz.

Any areas of tension are identified, isolated and kneaded out with crazy precision. She has amazing technique, so you never feel like your muscles are being "cracked or rolled". She also has sort of a percussion technique, where its almost like she vibrates her hands as she's kneading out any kinks. Whats even more surprising is how much she accomplishes with very limited oil, I went straight to dinner at the Rathskeller after and did not look shiny at all. Great Table - The table is heated and cushy, the linens are high quality, the face rest is more comfortable than most. Amazing Venue - Location on Mass @ the Athenaeum can't be beat. I live across the street and will be coming back very often. The office is tucked right next to Coat Check Coffee! The office is like a cozy living room, the massage room feels like a nice suburban bed room. She keeps the place spotless and the interior design is really cute. Priced too low! - Her massages are only $60/HR + tip (budget $80, $60+$20 tip). Her introductory massage is only $45 (budget $60, $45+15 tip). She also offers discounted massage packages which I plan on buying in bulk! (I think its $5-10 off per) On a personal note, I've gotten on average 20 massages a year for the past decade, across a half dozen states and at least a dozen countries and this is my overall domestic favorite by a huge margin. I was almost hesitant to write a review because I don't want more competition fighting for reservations!

My friend and I enjoyed a lovely Sunday at the Conrad Spa. We were prompted greeted by Tina and shown around the spa and to our lockers. In the ladies locker room area, there are showers, a sauna, and a steam room. We got there early so we could enjoy the pool and other amenities. Unfortunately, when we arrived there were hotel guests in the pool, including children. That's not all that conducive to relaxing unfortunately so we didn't get in the water at all. Tina also helped us order a lovely lunch from Capitol Grill and took overall very good care of us while we relaxed and waited for our spa appointments. The services: Both of us had nice services but honestly both felt we had had better for various reasons. My esthetician was good and did a very nice job but I had added on a leg scrub. The leg scrub was great but it came At the sacrifice of the hand and wrist massage you might typically get. My friend's service was good but was slow to start and the provider had some clumsiness issues and dropped items on the floor creating loud noises. The only thing that was really "bad" was the temperature of the atrium area/pool and hot tub area. It was HOT in there. It was so warm in there that we just couldn't force ourselves in the hot tub or the sauna/steam room. Tips: 1. there is street parking, which is free on Sundays 2. When you walk in, go closer to the check in desk to the second set of elevators and the spa is on the 6th floor 3. There is cold water and some cold towels in the Gym on the same floor.
