I love knowing my son is taken care of. I think maybe additional staffing or a front admin would be a good idea and it would help with cleaning, phone calls, paperwork and sanitizing. I have done PT 1000 times and you are shuffled in and out quickly (insurance reason I am sure) and shown things to do at home. At ATI they set a work out for you and you do it there. They may add one or two new ones but for the most part it is a work out everytime. Then they work on your injury. Best of all, they are a great group of kids. Billing is now handled by some "off-shore subsidiary" (as relayed to me when I asked their location), and all other support functions have been "centralized." Translation: the actual people at the ATI clinic are completely in the dark about anything beyond basic therapy. The most glaring issue? I was blatantly misled about my insurance coverage. ATI representatives told me--twice--that my visits would be covered at 100%. I even expressed doubt based on past experience and documented my concern during intake. They reassured me and promised to monitor it. Guess what? A week later, I received notice from my insurance that I was on the hook for everything. I've tried repeatedly to get someone--anyone--from their so-called centralized office to explain the discrepancy. Crickets. No returned calls. I even asked the clinic staff to help escalate it. Nothing! Either this was a tactic to get me in the door or it's pure negligence fueled by untrained, outsourced staff who don't understand what they're doing. Avoid this place unless you enjoy billing nightmares, being ignored, and feeling like you're shouting into a void. ATI used to care. Now it feels like they care about one thing only: your copay and how quickly they can bill your insurance.

I specifically asked what the cost would be if I had to "self pay" and was told I did not need to worry about it since my insurance would cover it. A few days after my first session, I received a bill for almost $600 FOR A ONE HOUR SESSION. I called the billing department and they acted completely oblivious. I was told that they went ahead and switched it to "self pay" but could not explain to me why I was not notified, even though they had ample time to contact me with a quote. I have seen additional negative reviews due to their bad billing practices and definitely should have taken those into consideration before choosing this company.
