They had me schd for the wrong location, so i was in the car driving last min decided to call...oh no he's not in Fishers he's in Carmel today, I'm like that's not what they told me, so i needed to change gps, I was worried i'd miss my appt because like i said, not familiar with the area being over 3 hrs away. I get there, I've had 3 C spine surgeries last year, i haven't been able to work all since falling at 35yo and herniating my c spine... i've been living w my parents in agonizing hell of pain trying to get help for 2 yrs now, i'm 6,7,8/10 every day, i have not been without serious pain for 2 years. I'm runing out of income and the pain is destroying me completely, so i was hoping to see him about an intrathecal pain pump. I have never been treated so poorly in a medical setting, as the patient, or seen someone be treated this badly, because i have been a BSN RN for 8 yrs & 3 semesters away from becoming a Nurse Practitioner, because i had to quit last year to have 3 spine surgeries, and i stood at the secretary counter to fill out paperwork because it's really hard for me to put my neck into flexion and write, and kind of hard to sit and hold a clip board infront of your face and write. So i usually stand on the end of the counter, so it keeps my spine more neutral as i write. I was asked to move to the other side so she could see some pts, so i was like ok, and my book bag was on the floor, i had a clip board, wallet, pen, phone, my insurance card & license all in my hands and not to mention it hurts my neck to lift bags so i usually try to do it in the least painful way, but could no since my hands were full & i was trying to hurry out of their way, so i just kicked my bag over a whole 2 feet to the other side of the desk and stood over there and continued my paperwork. Well, I guess the secretary TOLD ON ME? ... that i was kicked my bag around the office and that i was dropping "f bombs" when i shit u not, all i did was whisper TO MYSELF, 2 times "Fuck, i dont remember how many times i went to message therapy this whole year" and i was like looking at the wall trying to think and got out my phone too look up dates and try to calculate to get a close number, and then 2 ladies come to the door and call my name, i still had 2 pages left and showed them my clipboard and they were like that's fine u can come on back, so go back & i got scolded like a 5 yo, i was talked to you harshly when i never cussed any staff out, never made a scene all i did was whisper 2 cuss words to myself and move my bag with my foot because that was easier on my spine and faster to move out of the way.... and they were acting like i was cussing people out, and i could not understand how nor why they were treating me like this? why? Because i have a two full sleeves of tattoos and my hands and fingers? were they profiling me or discriminating against me, because i had done nothing wrong to them whatsoever, and they were being very rude on the approach of bitching me out about WE DO DONT TOLERATE F BOMBS HERE WE WILL NOT SEE YOU OKAY DO U UNDERSTAND THIS!!?? both of them standing there, my mother was shocked as well. She couldn't believe it, and called them a bunch of assholes after we left, terrible. I'm like i drove over 3 hrs to get here and waited 2 months for this appt and they threw me back and forth then said the dr decided not to see you. So they brought me back scolded me and i was like ok, i was explaining to them trying to defend myself like i just whispered to MYSELF fuck as i was filling my paperwork out, they way they were treating me, you would have thought i bitched out the secretary... and they're like ok ok we dont care no more f bombs!! I was just trying to explain myself.... they cut me off and kept saying we are not saying the f word in here anymore, do u understand!? they just kept saying it over and over as i was like i only whispered it to myself, my God? what is going on, and i was like ok whatever geez, they go NO NOT WHATEVER DO U UNDERSTANDDD!!?? i'm like okay sure, and they're like u can go back out to the waiting room and finish ur paperwork, then 5 mins later same 2 came and brought me out to the hallway near the elevators & were like so we also heard u were kicking ur bag around? ... They think they are smarter than you and everyone else and they treat you and your pain as if it is nothing but they want you to show up once a month so they can collect their money from you. On top of the doctor being a jerk I arrived at the office for a noon appointment at 11am and wasn't seen until 2pm and then when I was seen the nurse didn't even take my blood pressure correctly putting the cuff around my forearm instead of above my elbow. I appreciated that because I then explained an issue I didn't think was related to my other issues we discussed. Surprisingly, this could be handled today, and I almost didn't even mention it. Ms. Butler performed one of the procedures today, and I'm already feeling less pain in the area she focused on. She was compassionate and gentle, plus she kept me involved at all times. The next procedure will be July 3 to hopefully resolve the larger issues identified. If today's results are anything like this on July 3rd, I'll have high success expectations. I'm very happy with Ms. Butler, and she has strong people skills and expertise. I look forward to working with her in the future.

Since the new place was absorbed by APC it has been a miserable and PAINFUL experience. She has been without a needed medication for almost 3 weeks while fighting a potentially life threatening infection. Have called the number at least 50 times and get sent to voicemail, never a return call. They actually answered yesterday and said the medication would be ready by end of day, it was not and still isn't. Went to the office last week about this issue and couldn't speak to anyone besides the front desk due to "policy". This is incompetence, medical negligence, and mal-practice. Will be contacting the states attorney and a personal one for action. This "consortium" acts and feels like a complete scam with no regard for patients.

Dr Shannon McKenna was the surgeon and kept rescheduling the follow up appt with the excuse of being in surgery. By the 3rd reschedule we had had enough and go figure he wasn't in surgery and was able to keep the appt. I normally do not leave reviews but I've had to watch my husband suffer through the most excruciating pain since the end of November 2025 that intensified tenfold at the end of February. I took over the communications between the Drs office and my husband because he was too frustrated and miserable to deal with it. We were constantly calling the office for help ..... finally scheduled another MRI of cervical spine to "find out what was going on". Luckily I set up an account and read the report and had access to the images within a day of having the MRI. Almost 2 weeks later the NP calls me to tell me everything looks good and the Dr is referring him to pain management. I read the report and it clearly said he has a pinched nerve root just under C6..... she never once mentioned that until I asked about it. And then blew it off as if it was nothing. When we went to this surgeon my husband had pinched nerves in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine that the Dr was aware of. I questioned her about this referral and called her out on the fact this surgeon was just pushing him off to pain management instead of actually trying to help him find the problem and fix it. My husband has no desire to be on any opioid to mask the pain. He wants to find the problem; fix the problem. Needless to say I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYONE! The office staff was FANTASTIC! The surgeon Shannon McKenna was the absolute worst doctor I have ever interacted with. Before the surgery we did not have any kind of explanation of what to expect for the day of surgery, the aftercare, the process for afterwards whether or not he will have physical therapy, how long the recovery is, nothing. See you this day this time have a good day. We had to ask them about physical therapy during the follow up appt and were told we could do it if we wanted to. We are now 6 months out and my husband hasn't been able to return to work for 9 months. He struggles to take deep breathes, moves just right and his body locks up, wakes up in pain, troubles moving his neck, laughing can stop him in his tracks. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS! No respectable Doctor would wash their hands of someone who is so obviously in severe pain that they just can't take anymore. No Dr McKenna refers him to pain management and dismisses him as a patient "due to being confrontational" - which is a joke because they haven't even dealt with him since May! So what is he hiding From? Only time will tell as we get into the new doctors to find out. I highly recommend to NOT see this surgeon if you have any need to visit this place!

I forced him to cite his reference to support his conclusions. I asked that the citation be included in the clinical notes. He did not include it. After going back and requesting it, his office staff spoke to him and they provided a citation that undermines his own conclusions and documented findings. Don't expect an honest assessment. I have already placed a call to file a formal complaint. So far I have not received a response. Whether Goodman Campbell, writ large, is 1-star, I can't say. My experience with Dr. DePowell was sub 1-Star.
