I had a follow up visit with my doctor today (June 1, so 4 months later) and he was surprised by how much mobility I have regained (actually said 'Wow! 100% better!') and how much my pain is reduced. He told me I didn't need to come back to him because I was on 'auto-pilot now' and to just keep doing the massage therapy and stretches and I should be fine. He had initially recommended physical therapy which I tried for 6 weeks but that didn't seem to be helping my mobility or pain and in some respects appeared to be making things worse. That's when I started looking for an alternative, and although massage therapy is not traditionally covered by health insurance, it actually cost me less than my co-pays for physical therapy and has been worth every penny. I handed my doctor a stack of Cecile's business cards today and he took them and thanked me. I would not hesitate to recommend Cecile and Morningstar Therapeutics to anyone dealing with muscle stiffness or pain, and especially anyone with frozen shoulder. She's the expert!

She was absolutely amazing! I did the deep tissue with the hot stones and my body felt rejuvenated after. Norma was very informative and explained to me the different steps of the massage (for example, she told me how stress had caused fluid to buildup underneath my arms, which I didn't even know!). She massaged areas that I didn't even know were tense and was very respectful when massaging my thigh area. As I was paying at the end of the appointment, Norma asked me how I felt and I told her I was good but there was just a little bit of pain in my upper back area but that it was ok and instead of being satisfied with my answer, Norma helped stretch me out until I was pain free. I paid for one hour and it ended up actually being an hour and 15 minutes because Norma went above and beyond for me. I truly recommend her and this spa. I honestly can't say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I walked in, the space felt incredibly clean, calming, and inviting, which exactly the kind of environment you hope for when you're already feeling anxious. The staff was truly supportive, kind, and reassuring. They took the time to listen, made me feel safe and understood, and never rushed me. That alone made such a difference for me. The acupuncture and massage services were excellent and genuinely helped me both physically and mentally. While they do accept insurance, they were not in-network for my specific plan at the time, but I would absolutely and gladly pay out of pocket again for the level of care I received. In addition to treatments, they also sell high-quality supplements and offer a wide range of other wellness services, which makes Evolv feel like a true one-stop space for holistic care. For the last 15-20 yrs, I can not remember not waking up to vomit, or not having a difficult time eating without reflux. On my first visit, Dr. Rogg asked me a few health questions and proceeded to diagnose me. Dr. Rogg did an acupuncture treatment and light back massage to straighten my back. It is hard to explain how much something that seems so simple had an effect on me. The next morning, I woke up feeling like a completely different person. I was not nauseous and my body was allowing me to eat. I was very skeptical at first, thinking my mind was playing tricks on me, but the feeling has stayed true. When she came back, she turned on relaxing music, dimmed the lights and got to work! She began with me on one side, focusing on my back, shoulders and neck.
