So disappointed with the new ownership. I love the therapists both Lorena and Tisro. Been going here for 3+ years. Usually 2x a week sometime less but minimum once a month. The service is amazing. But the rates have increased so high I can just go to any local casino spa and get a full spa day experience with pool access etc. $185 for 90 mins is obscene for a small local shop, and to add to it the therapists aren't seeing ANY of that!? They had return specials as well, so that kept me coming refer out out of town friends, relatives etc you name it. I haven't been in nearly a month, and I need to go for my well being but in looking for a new place to go - I'll follow Lorena or Tisro if they leave - this new owner seems to have his priorities wrong, can't see this lasting long without a loyal local consumer base. read more

Online reservations & Checking In: I booked my appointment online and I appreciated the email and text reminders I received. For my first session, I had to fil out some basic paperwork. With the check in tablet, you can dictate the type of massage intensity as well as areas you want to focus in on for the session. I LOVE this simple and effective use of technology. The massage room was very clean and the temperature was perfect. I requested deep pressure for my massage with a focus on the upper and lower back. Oriana knocked it out and really got in there. I could feel my knots and tensions releasing as she worked her magic. She was very friendly and checked on me throughout the session. I walked out of there feeling amazingly relaxed and loose. Despite having a copy of both the email and text confirming the appointment, the receptionist said an appointment was never made. I was sent away with no explanation or recourse of any kind. I'm hoping I won't be billed. I guess I'll have to pursue a charge back with the credit card company. For my birthday I received a gift card for a one hour massage from the establishment from my husband. I have driven by many times, since it's right by my home, but never gone in or inquired online about services. Walking in. It's very nice. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful with registration. They have complimentary bottles of water while you wait for your maseuse. I was surprised when I entered the room that the table was heated perfectly and the room had a lovely aromatic scent, like lavender. It's unfortunate that my favorite massage place was bought out by someone who seems to only think of himself/what he wants rather than the clients. I wanted to add the CBD to the hot stone treatment as advertised and it was explained to me at the front desk that was no longer available because the new owner doesn't like it. Weird because he's not the one getting the services I want and pay for? The sheets used to feel luxurious and now they are stiff and scratchy. Instead of a solid bolster under the legs the therapists now have to put these two flat pillows under our knees/zero support. Massage 1 has shortened their operating hours which is unfortunate for those of us who are shift workers and can't get to appointments outside the standard work hours. I am upset too because I had points saved up to use and the new owner decided to toss the program out, no notice to clients and will not honor the points now that the program has been deleted. I adore the therapists and front desk staff, not a fan of this new owner and these negative changes. If this new owner doesn't want keep established clients, he's doing an excellent job of driving working class people away. I wouldn't be surprised if the next change is a price increase and for what? I have now been to Massage 1 three times and kept forgetting to write a review, so I wanted to make sure I did one this time. My wife and I have been enjoying a couples massage once every few months. We when you enter, you see a small desk to the right and a waiting area on the left. They have you check-in to your appointment on one of two iPads. At this time, it gives you the option to add-on premium services such as hot stones and sugar scrubs. I really appreciate it being done this way as you avoid to pushy sales routine. Our masseuses brought us back to a room with two beds and step out to let us get comfortable on the tables. There is relaxing massage music playing the whole time which adds to the experience. I prefer deep tissue massages, so they have several masseuses that specializes in that. The last two times I've gone, I've gotten Brenda, who does an excellent job. Over the hour, it's part massage and part stretching. I leave feeling very refreshed and invigorated. Not only had it been good for my physical health, it has been good for my mental health. I recommend massages for anyone and I definitely recommend going to Massage 1 for them. read more

So I started going to this place after my liposuction for lymphatic massage, Betty was amazing she is real pro and knows what she's doing. But the owners are so rude, and so arrogant, they change rules as they go on. They have a point system and if you accumulate so many points you get free massage. I was going twice a week so I accumulated a lot of points very quickly. Also i was paying at a discounted rate because of so many attendances. So when I decided to use my points for an hour of free massage, the following week they started to charge me at the normal rate, when I objected, she said( the owner) that you only get the discount if your appointments are less than 5 days apart! That's so not true!! It's not what it says on their website, so I stopped going there, she was so rude and dismissive when she was talking to me, that I canceled all my future appointments. read more

I had a therapist named Nita and I was not pleased with my massage. I kindly asked prior to the session if we could have a silent session because I like the quietness as it brings me comfort and puts my mind at ease. She would make remarks every so often and make jokes, which some I felt were inappropriate, but I stayed quiet to simply remain respectful.
