I can't speak for the other people who wrote a review here , but in my case I absolutely love Mason Primary Care. I am not exaggerating when I say that they saved my life. For a general practitioner the doctor you want is Scott Leeth. He was able to diagnose that I had kidney disease, when my endocrinologist never saw that coming. I ended up in the hospital and was able to be treated . I am now on dialysis and I am feeling better. If he hadn't caught this I probably would be dead right now. As for Dr. Miles Mason III, he was key in my treatments while I was in the hospital and during my recovery at home. I had also developed a very bad infection in tandem with the kidney disease and was instrumental in helping me with my wound care that came as a result. He also is the one who installed my catheter for the PD dialysis that I now do at home. I owe a lot to these two men and I thank them for saving my life. However long that will be. The staff at Mason Primary Care are very friendly. I will deduct 1 star because when you make a follow up appointment they will not call you to remind you of the appointment a day or two before, like many other practices do. Sure I need to update my Google Calendar but having that extra reminder is very helpful. Other than that as long as I live in this area they will continue to be my primary physicians. read more

They used to be good. Unfortunately, it's a waist of time to visit this doctor. Went for a check up at 3pm and they made me wait in a room for an hour with out doing anything. This was the worst experience I've ever had. Made an appointment and after a hour and a half of waiting to get my blood work done the doctor asks me if I can come back tomorrow because they are closing. I said no way and demanded my blood work now. They did my blood work and after a week of finding my results they didn't even test for the one thing I went in there for. I go back to complain and instead of saying sorry they tell me I will have to pay again for the blood test. I said no way! The nurse there is absolutely horrible. DON'T waste your time with this place! RUDE, DISHONEST staff. I made an appointment and gave insurance information over the phone. Drove almost 40 minutes to the office and checked-in for the appointment and was turned away because they claim that my insurance carrier is not accepted. Not only did the employee confirm my insurance over the phone, my carrier is listed on the Mason Primary Care website. If you're looking for a good primary care doctor, this is NOT it. read more

I've been going here for quite sometime. Dr Leeth was among one of the best physicians in the area. Unfortunately he left to another practice a few years ago. Since then I come here once a year for wellness check up as the management team slowly and surely run this practice into the ground. Their slogan, "treating you like family" which is a laughing matter and an insult. Dr Mason is so far removed from the day-to-day and had no idea what is going or perhaps doesn't care. Don't expect any timely responses as it is nonexistent. Will pick another practice. read more

Rushed me through my appointment after having waited for an hour in the waiting room (was still asking him questions as he walked me to checkout). Wouldn't refill my prescription (even partially) even though I was completely out (and, no it wasn't a controlled substance) until I could be seen. Very cocky and uncaring. read more

My husband and I use to really like Dr. Leeth. My husband saw him every 3 months for a checkup to get some of his prescriptions filled. At the beginning of the year, my husband went to his scheduled appointment only to find that Dr. Leeth left this practice. There was no call or letter or email to inform us. The new doctor is ok but just ok. What is very frustrating is the lack of response and courtesy from the office staff and nurses. My husband called because they didn't print his prescription the last time he was in. But the office didn't call back. After waiting a week, I called and was told to leave a message for the nurse. Still no call back. So I decided to drop by. I remained calm and pleasant while the front desk receptionist complained about it being a crazy day. I emphasized with her and apologized for having to just drop in. But I also explained that we needed the prescription and we were very frustrated by the lack of response from the office. She flagged down the nurse who insisted that the missing prescription was our fault and that they would not be able to print a new one for 30 days. I knew this wasn't the truth but I was getting no where. My husband left work to go to their office and finally got through to them that hey had not printed the prescription for him. He wasn't even seen the day that they claimed they gave it to him. Still after discovering their error it took 45 minutes to get the prescription printed! And no one apologized. If you value your time and reliable communication from your doctor's office, go somewhere else. read more

Do not go here if you need vaccinations. We waited 1.5 hours after our schedule appointment time and was not able to get shots since they don't keep it onsite. I'm sure that's due to budget reasons but should be disclosed when making the appointment. Very poor and disappointing. read more

I LOVE it here. I read the older complaints for Mason Primary. I'm glad to say that when I spoke to the staff that they were aware of the complaints and that the doctors no longer worked there. I had a great visit with Jennifer the nurse practitioner. My condition is now under control and I intend to continue seeing them. read more

FIND ANOTHER OPTION... I've been to this location twice and I am already looking for another option... I saw Dr. Bonnie and she is not only rude and unprofessional. she does not explain and when you ask questions she gets annoyed. I tried to tell her I had a referral from my previews doctor to see a physical therapist and she refused to do it saying I did not need one. with out even considering the pain i was under. on my second visit she gave me my lab results telling me I just needed to be on a prescription FOR LIFE... did not explain why or any side effects. definitely not someone I am going back to. when you get lab results that are life changing you deserve to be explained more about it read more

STOP FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR! I've been coming to Mason primary care for about 1 year now. All my visits have been for the same reason. I always get stuck with Dr. Bonnie, considering we are women I would expect her to understand my issue or sympathize. But each time it's gets worse and worse. She does not explain your symptoms or what can be done to rectify or limit your condition. After explaining my chart and informing her of my issues she insisted on doing lab work for no apparent reason. I asked if she could put a back up refill just in case my condition reoccurs, she smiled and said "of course not". So unfortunately "if" and when my condition reoccurs I have to spend an unnessary co-pay and my insurance billed for any lab that she insist on doing. Dr. Leeth is another one eating "Healthy" is the key to anything wrong. And I get eating healthy is the way to go but I only weigh 150lbs. I need things explained in simplest terms. And when I ask questions I'm looked at like I'm stupid. Please save your time and find another physician!! read more

I had an issue here in the past (with a provider who is no longer there), but Deb Schulte Long has been phenomenal! I am back and I am very happy with the practice. They take their time talking to you and don't make you feel rushed! Follow up is very good and they do care about your entire well being - mental, physical and emotional. read more

Friendly receptionist but nursing techs, PA & lab tech had no personality. Treatment options were not discussed with me; the PA was condescending and brief, and I don't think I was diagnosed correctly. Labs were ordered that had nothing to do with my visit & without any communication with me about it. I got the impression that they were trying to squeeze anything they could out of my insurance company. The techs were timid and tentative like interns. One couldn't get the blood pressure cuff on right & placed the thermometer so shallowly in my mouth that she missed my fever. The other did my strep test so quickly - light & in just 1 area that it came back as a false negative. Also, while with the PA, the tech cracked the door with my results & said "are you with the strep test?" giving me further indication that they see patients as billable procedures there, not sick people. read more

I've taken a common, low dose medication for migraine headaches for many years that really helps and is a maintenance medication for me. Mason will not give me a prescription with any refills and insists that I come in for blood work and labs. Because this was not necessary when I was insured with Kaiser for many years I'm left with only one conclusion: this is a money making ploy. I fell for it once but when they tried to pull the same thing just 6 months later they lost me. read more

Very hard to get through or have someone call you back within a reasonable amount of time. Very frustrated at the lack of response time. When I finally went in for my examination, they told me they were just very very busy. I had left messages with everybody and anyone I could on the automated system they have and waited more than two days for a response. once I was able to speak to someone, they told me I had to come in and get my blood work done before reissuing my medication.If you are out of medication, that's not good. Of course, some of the error was on my part. There was a mixup on the medication I was taking and when I found out the mistake, I was already out. I was made to feel like it was all my fault and I was already a week behind in taking my medicine. As you can imagine, that did not go over very well with me but left feeling hurt and angry. Staff seems bored and unprofessional. Doesn't seem to be a very caring atmosphere and I've been going there for years. I need to find a place closer to my home anyway. I hope other people have better experiences. A few adjustments here and there and I believe it could be a fine practice. read more

I have been going to Mason Primary care for about 6 years. It USED to be a great place to receive medical care. Now, I will never go back. I have been accused of trying to receive pain meds, which I would never do because I'm allergic to most. Lab tests that were totally unnecessary and had to fight tooth and nail to get prescriptions refilled that were prescribed by them. I referred a friend who has polycystic kidney disease so he could get the antibiotics he needed and he was told that the disease did not exist. Really? I can get better healthcare from a doc-in-the-box. read more
