They…read moredidn't feed me, they wouldn't get me up to walk when I asked, didn't want to hook me back up to my saline bag bc it would make me have to go to the bathroom and they didn't want to come unhook me and take me. They also threw away the blood thinner they were supposed to give me bc I asked about it and she didn't want to explain so she literally threw it away. Other issues went on too. I called after I got out to file a complaint which didn't go anywhere and 2 days after I filed the complaint I was in an accident. Went to the ER the just get checked out and they actually left the IV in my arm. Didn't notice till I got home and had to remove it. Their nursing and tech staff is less than desirable or friendly. Emergency room is a nightmare and very long wait times. I will be going to Northside from now on if at all possible.

The nurse was wonderful I called this morning and they told me her name was Cynthia. She was amazing and, so very kind. I had blood work taken, and they were incredibly professional and fast. And I could not recommend the doctor I saw more. As I said I called back this morning and they told me the doctor's name was Dr Yosef. He was absolutely professional, meticulous, and asked lots and lots of questions. I understand that during this season immediate care facilities get very busy and sometimes that can be stressful for customers. They were prompt and immediately saw about my mother, Miss Dennis, and made sure she was admitted and received the attention she needed. In moments like that, quick action means everything to a family. I also want to recognize the attending physician, Dr. Herschel W. Smith, who admitted my mother to the PC Unit. He was amazing. He saw the need for immediate care and made sure my mother was taken care of and placed where she needed to be. His attention and action made a real difference for our family. One nurse stood out the most -- Nurse Charlize. She truly understood her assignment. During a very stressful time while my mother was being cared for, I had many questions and a lot of emotions. Even when there were things she could not answer because she wasn't the doctor, she reassured me and helped calm my spirit. She listened, not just as a nurse but as a compassionate human being. I was even able to share some personal things that were weighing on me, and she took the time to hear me. That kind of care matters more than people realize. I have been a private nurse in the state of Georgia for 26 years and have worked with many families, including some of the wealthiest in Buckhead. I left that work to care for my own mother, and I know firsthand that true caregiving requires passion, patience, and heart. Nurse Charlize showed all of those qualities. To the doctors, I apologize if my frustration showed. I just wished I had understood more about my mother's condition sooner rather than waiting many hours for answers. But I appreciate that the team continued working toward the best care. Moments like these reveal people's character. There is a charge for parking (first 30 minutes is free, so no worries if you have a quick delivery). It's $3 for the whole day should you need to stay a few hours. Not sure if they validate (I don't want to have to visit the hospital that much to find out). There is both covered and uncovered parking depending on your preference. The facilities that have been renovated and are complete feel fresh and inviting. The elevators are smooth and most of the interior looks brand new [from when it was Gwinnett Medical]. I went there b/c I had no primary care Dr & needed a referral to a cancer doctor, like the ER told me to. The PA was kind & happened to say 'it must be a rough time for me' & I agreed that it was depressing. Instead, they wrote I was there for depression & never referred me to anywhere. That's it!! Now they call begging for money they could have gotten IF they'd been paying attention to what I wrote on the questionnaire & TOLD them!!

He increased my mom lisinopril 2.5 mg to 5 mg and add another agent (calcium channel blocker -Norvasc). According to JNC-7, the prescriber should maximize the dose of one agent then add another agent. He could not answer my question and instead he asked me if I don't like the way he practice, I can take my mother to somewhere else.

I have been a patient here for over 24 years. I first started coming here when pregnant with my…read morefirst child. At that time it was an all male practice. How the times have changed. Now al of the doctors are female. Most of my visits in recent years have been with Dr. Iyoyo. She is wonderful. We always have great conversation while she is doing my yearly exam and I never feel like she is rushing through the exam. But she also values my time and is efficient. Other times I have come in to see Dr. Yolanda Smith. I would highly recommend both of them.
