Super cute new cafe in La Mirada! I ordered the berry matcha, which was a strawberry matcha made with house-made strawberry puree and topped with matcha cream. The puree tasted really fresh and made the drink light and refreshing. I wished the matcha was a little stronger and deeper in flavor, but it was still decent, especially with the matcha cream top which adds more of a matcha flavor. This cream top seemed a little sweeter than other cafes, making the drink overall pretty sweet when mixed all together, so I would probably try getting the drink less sweet next time. All of the pastries here also looked really good, so I would definitely come back to try some of them! The store itself is very minimalist, modern, and quiet with plenty of seating and wifi, making it perfect for studying or getting work done! The workers here were very friendly and helpful in answering my questions. Service was also quick, and I received my drink soon after ordering.
Mase Coffee is a newer coffee shop in the La Mirada area and I am glad I had the chance to stop by. They have a cool minimalistic ambiance with some chrome decor. I got the Hojicha Cloud and it was gas!
We recently came here for their soft opening and the owner gave us a free chocolate matcha cookie (sweet and moist). We tried their matcha cloud, ceremonial matcha with light matcha cream and mase cloud, milk espresso with shaved chocolate and cream. We both enjoyed our drinks, though I wish the ceremonial matcha taste had a more bold, earthy/umami taste (just my personal preference), but the drinks were pretty good Overall, prices are decent, credit cards are accepted and there's plenty of parking
I had the pleasure of trying Mase Coffee and it didn't disappoint! What I ordered: Mase Cloud: yummy, on the sweeter side and uses a real block of chocolate to add the shavings on top! Berry Matcha: the puree is delightful! Yummy fruit flavor without the overly jammy taste. The matcha itself was lightly sweetened and complemented the fruit. Narungji Einspanner: take all my money. Wow it tastes so good. The crispy rice was toasted and the latte had a hint of nutty flavor. So delicious! The baristas are in high spirits when taking orders and providing service and food! As for the layout of the cafe, I do wish the tables were a little larger, a lot of people were sitting to chat holding their drinks due to the smaller table sizes, its popularity is rising as well so it gets quite loud
Wanted to give this cafe a try since it recently opened up! I got here early in the morning so there's no wait. Employees were nice and greeted me as I entered. I got an iced matcha with almond milk. I prefer my matcha strong with a bit of sweetness and this hit the spot! The ambiance is nice in here and great to study at. Good amount of parking spots. I'll definitely be back to try their other selections

Newly opened coffee shop. The aesthetic is 10/10. Tons of chargers at almost every table. Friendly staff. I tried the iced Hojicha latte, which was a good balance of toasty and sweet. I've yet to try the other drinks, but I'm glad to have found a solid Hojicha spot.
Love their drinks here!!! Space might not be the best to study (can get loud & echoey, tables are small, chairs aren't the most comfortable), but a good place to quickly catch up with friends. In a mission to try all their drinks haha.
Glad to have found this local gem! Wanted a quick coffee near La habra but was looking to try something new and this place hit the spot! I was intrigued by the black sesame einspanner and omg....this will be my Roman Empire drink. Unlike anything I've had before. So incredibly delicious. Espresso was top notch. I don't like my drinks too sweet so I asked for no sweetener in the espresso and for me it was perfection (the foam is sweetened). Service was great, baristas were knowledgeable. My only complaints- any empty pastry case :( I gotta have a sweet treat with my coffee and also...the drink was so good but the cup was too small!! Yes, that is my complaint because I downed it in two gulps lol but you know I'll definitely be back for that einspanner and would highly recommend!
This place is in a somewhat dated plaza in a small space, so I thought it might be stuffy, but it's surprisingly very comfy and open inside. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Tons of seating, free Wi-Fi, enough outlets, and a public restroom are available. Only cookies are available for food options now, but maybe that'll change in the future. While I may not go out of my way to come here, it's definitely a nice spot if you're in the area :). Two thumbs up from me.
Wow this is definitely the spot if you want your BLACK SESAME coffee and MATCHA fix!! It's not too sweet (I usually always have to adjust the sweetness level)!! The coffee and matcha are both nice and strong and gives that extra punch that you need! They make their own strawberry purée which doesn't feel like you're eating preserves (finally a place that does this well and don't go too overboard on the sugar). Matcha is smooth/earthy and doesn't have that grassy note afterwards. The cookies are super soft, almost like a brownie texture (slightly crispy on the outside and warm/chewy inside). Had the Oreo marshmallow which reminded me of a s'mores and the lemon (per my daughter taste like my homemade lemon loaf). Overall the vibes are warm and welcoming. The interior is simplistic with ample of room to sit. Excited to see this place open officially!
New Cafe in La Mirada! I visited in the morning to do some studying and check the place out for the first time. A very nice and clean space well lit with a lot of natural light. Solid amount of seating with many small coffee tables, some two seaters, and square tables. Good place to come and do work, might not be the best for big parties, would require rearranging chairs but space is definitely large enough. Service was quick and parking available. Matcha latte was great as well.

This is a recently opened coffee shop in La Mirada with a clean, minimalist interior. It seems to be getting popular already, as there were quite a few customers during my visit. They offer several signature drinks, and I tried the Mase Coffee. The cream-top chocolate was smooth, creamy, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet. The chocolate shavings on top added a nice touch. I also tried the Matcha Latte, which was rich, thick, and full of matcha flavor. Definitely a good choice if you like a stronger matcha taste. The cashier was very nice and welcoming, and overall I had a great first experience. I'll definitely be back to try more of their signature drinks. read more

I came across this place while browsing Yelp and was excited to give it a try. Nurungji Einspanner ($7.50) - My favorite out of all 3 drinks I got! The flavor of nurungji was spot on. I would say it taste like slightly toasted burnt rice at the bottom of a rice cooker (in a good way)! Black Sesame Einspanner ($7.50) - The black sesame lacked flavor so it was pretty mid. I've definitely had better. Espresso Tonic ($7) - slightly too sweet for an espresso tonic The space has a minimalist design. I saw a few people working while I was there. They have free Wi-Fi, a bathroom, and a few charging outlets. There are only a few larger tables, so the seating arrangement isn't really ideal for big groups. Not sure I'd visit again unless in the area. read more

MATCHA game goes hard here 10/10. Got the berry matcha and they don't play with their cream top. You could tell they use the right amount of matcha so it doesn't taste or feel watered down. We also got the nurungji einspanner and THAT WAS A GAME CHANGER FOR US, so good. Staff were friendly, plenty of chairs and places to sit. Aesthetics of the place are nice. My sister recommended me this spot. Have yet to try their entire Matcha selections, but Matcha Cloud was recommended to me. Very creamy and very comparable to Seesaw's matcha cream latte. At half sweet, this was the perfect amount of sweet and bitter for me. Almost like drinking a matcha ice cream. I really liked the minimalistic interior and decor. Was pretty nice to work remotely as well. But around 12:30pm, it gets super loud and packed even on weekday (but usually dies down after 1pm). Service was good. Littler far from me but hope to visit again! read more

I came from far away, hoping this coffee shop has good drinks. My husband ordered an espresso tonic and I ordered a black sesame einspanner. One of the best espresso tonics we've ever had. And the black sesame coffee was different but delicious. The shop is clean with cute decor. Staff was friendly and the drinks came out fast. Great service. Will definitely come back to try their matcha! read more

Mase Coffee recently opened up in La Mirada by the drive-thru Dutch Bros, and is a very clean + polished coffee shop with *plenty* of outdoor parking available. The menu featured an appealing variety of specialty coffee and matcha options that I'll be sure to try when (not if) I come back here. I felt like having light caffeine + electrolytes this time so I went for their coco matcha, which has a coconut water base, matcha cream top, and a coconut flake garnish. The silky matcha cream top paired seamlessly with the not-too-sweet coconut water, making for an overall smooth + tasty drink that I can see myself regularly ordering from here (but def gonna circle back to this after trying out a couple of their other options, which look promising too!). Service was speedy and amiable, and the owners' friendliness alone had me walking out of Mase feeling like my day was brightened. Came to check out this new cafe in my neighborhood per my friend's recommendation. My search is over!!! I have found the BEST black sesame latte. I have tried this drink at multiple cafes whenever I see it on the menu but always disappointed. Mase does it perfectly! I don't know how they make it perfectly balanced with the right amount of nuttiness and sweetness (not too sweet). Even with the cream, you can still taste the espresso through it all. I've been here 3 times now and have tried most all of their drinks and I have to say the nurungji einspanner is my favorite hands down. The nutty, slightly smoky, subtly sweet yet savory flavors of the nurungji go perfectly with the bittersweet espresso finished with rich cream and topped with crispy toasted rice. The mase and hojicha cloud are tied for second favorite depending on whether you want a coffee drink or tea drink. My husband is a huge fan of the espresso tonic! They do offer a selection of pastries but I've only had the kouign amann and it's very good. read more

My husband and I had passed by this cafe a few weeks ago and it's been on our radar to try! Upon entering the cafe, we were immediately greeted by the staff and admired the simplicity of the cafe. It has plenty of seating, lighting, and is a great casual spot. We arrived close to noon and were able to place our order right away. We ordered the Mase Cloud along with the Oreo & Matcha s'mores cookies. Our coffees were served on a silver platter which I thought was a nice touch. The Mase Cloud was creamy, had a smooth coffee flavor, and had just the right amount of sweetness. The Oreo cookie was slightly dry but the matcha cookie was moist with a great marshmallow pull. I do wish the cookies were warmed up but I wasn't sure if that was an option (that's on me, I didn't ask). Overall, everything was very delightful and we're glad we tried it out. For any coffee connoisseur out there, let this place be your next stop :) read more
