Giulia Italian Bakery is hands down one of my favorite bakeries in Georgia!…read more Everything here is incredibly fresh, and you can tell they put so much care into what they make. The star of the show for me is the sfogliatelle. It's the one thing that keeps me coming back every single time. It's perfectly flaky on the outside with the most delicious filling inside. The staff is always friendly, the bakery is clean, and the atmosphere is so inviting. I also love that it's located in The Forum, so after grabbing a coffee and a pastry, you can spend some time walking around the shops. My only wish is that they had a few more outlets available. It would be the perfect place to bring a laptop, enjoy a coffee and pastry, and get some work or studying done for a couple of hours.

Yesterday we had brunch next door at Peche and walked by Giulia on the way in. Everything in the…read morewindow looked amazing. We decided to save room and get dessert here on our way home. The space is beautiful and the patio is large, and all the food looks incredible. However when we went inside it was cramped, loud and chaotic, The woman behind the counter did not speak a word to us, only seemed intent on getting us through the line. The interaction with staff will make or break a place like this. We quickly picked two filled doughnuts and rushed to the register. I about fell over when she asked for $14.40! Have we all lost our minds?! So a dozen doughnuts is $84?? No thanks. Enough is enough with average experiences being ridiculously overpriced. At home, the product lacked flavor and freshness. We were disappointed and considered these a waste of money.

We did get a mango yogurt cup as well because their display cups looked so good! --sausage crossaint: 4 out of 5 - sausage on a crispy soft croissant, topped with cheese and chopped jalapenos. it was a bit basic but it tasted pretty good to me! --sausage donut sandwich: 4/5 - not sure what it was filled with but it seemed to have a imitation crab coleslaw base, topped with the sausage and sliced of cucumber --spicy beef croquette: 3/5 - it was mid, nothing special. it didnt have much flavor, you could definitely taste the spice and it was red; but it was not spicy. --beef & vegetable croquette: 3/5 - also mid, the filling was super mashed up so i personally did not like the flavor The service was great, the cashier was friendly and helped us warm up the treats. They also kept the water pitches full so that was nice :) Ambiance: there was a good amount of tables, and it was 75% full but still quiet! good spot to hang out w friends, study or go on a date!!

Things you should know: I. PARKING…read more Confections Bakery & Cafe is within a plaza and shares a free public parking lot with the adjacent businesses directly out front. Easy. II. SERVICE This bakery allows a cake reservation for special occasions as well as a self-service oven for pastries you want to heat up and enjoy while dining in. III. QUALITY Competitive with surrounding bakeries. They don't disappoint. IV. CAPACITY Less busy on week days during business hours. There's outlets everywhere along the walls and so it's an ideal location to knock out work in peace.

I like the interior of the cafe as it reminds me a bit of Stylenanda in Korea (pink!). I can't speak on the drinks, only the pastries and cakes, and yeah, they're good! Probably shouldn't leave any pastries with fruit longer than a few hours since it'll get soggy though. We had a few birthdays to celebrate, and Confections was the go-to choice to for a lot of people this year. Not too sweet cream with fruit and fluffy cake, it was perfect for many in our group. The only cake I would not recommend that I've tried would be the Dubai chocolate cake. Not only is it more expensive, it's smaller than the other offered cakes. As a cake, it doesn't quite match up to Dubai chocolate strawberry cups that you can get elsewhere. The kunafa loses its crispiness being sandwiched between cake, and there isn't much pistachio flavor. I would've expected pistachio cream, but there really wasn't any on this cake. There are more strawberries on the strawberry cream cake, which fair, makes sense, but the Dubai cake wasn't as amazing as it sounded. Just tall. Good thing we had another cake from Confections that day since it was a joint birthday.
