I got to say I had a horrible experience today in Mary's salon. I got two of my fingers cut by Bianca and it still hurts, the style I wanted was not what I got, and the price was different. I made an appointment because I saw $25 in groupon and when I called Bianca said with gel and art design will be $38. I agree to $38 and then after I received a two hour service because she messed up a couple times she said $53??? What kind of game is that. I am not happy about the service. I was not even offer water. Very bad service. Please find somewhere else any other place will be cheaper. read more

It's easily accessible, but try to make it there before the horrendous Miami rush hour traffic. The staff/techs at Lotus are all very nice and welcoming, but they speak mostly Spanish. Translators highly recommended. The nail techs specifically are excellent but they're VERY talkative and take longer than your average nail tech to finish a manicure/pedicure. I came with a friend and she had to wait almost two hours for my nail tech to be done with me for her to take her turn - mind you, they're fully staffed with three nail techs at a time. If you have the time and the patience though, it is definitely worth it. I don't think you can find a cheaper mani/pedi anywhere in Miami that's not done out of some Cuban lady's kitchen in Hialeah. Downside: techs take forever and they play the most depressing Latin love songs from the 90's (that's the legit station name btw). Other than that, I recommend it if you're looking for the best mani/pedi for the cheapest price.

She said repairs are only done up to 5 days from initial application, but the manicurists there always say that gel is supposed to last at least 10 days even for people with oily nail beds. Instead of offering to fix the few nails that chipped, she told me to book another appointment and pay all over again with another tech...after already having a bad experience with nail polish my first time, this is undoubtedly another issue with the polish. I got screwed over for something beyond my control. Faulty polish isn't the customer's fault what It's only $35, but if my manicure doesn't last and I'm told to pay for a brand new manicure, I might as will go to a place that's more expensive, but does it right the first time.
