Even the hygienist was very kind and patient with our 5 year old child. Our child did not have any cavities or dental concerns so we scheduled a return visit for the following year. Our second visit was today and we had a horrible experience. We met with a different hygienist than before and she was rude, inpatient and made our child feel extremely uncomfortable with her remarks. Our child was nervous and started crying when the hygienist came in. Instead of being calm and patient, the hygienist told our child if she did not stop crying " Mommy would have to wait in the waiting room." Then she proceeded to call another hygienist in and told me to hold my child down so they could brush her teeth. I said, ABSOLUTELY NOT! If my child is nervous, why would I restrain her? That sounds very aggressive and abusive to me. I told the hygienist that we can cancel the appointment or try again another time. She walked us to the checkout area. As we were checking out I asked to schedule an appointment with Dr. Young ( the first doctor we saw). The secretary was nice and said she would do it, but before she could put the appointment in Dr. Michael B. Quigley came out and refused to let us reschedule our appointment. His exact words were " If your child cannot handle seeing different providers maybe you should go somewhere else to a smaller, more private practice." I said " Are you refusing us services? " He said " We are not going to reschedule you." He also proceeded to tell me he owns the practice. His racist undertone was disturbing to say the least. I would never go back there again. "Oh yeah you are getting your tooth today." I really just wanna start off by saying this is the only dentist i've ever been to since i was…read moreyoung.Its been years since i've been able to face the dentist again after my traumatizing experience here.I have never actually left a review before,but i've felt so compelled to tell my situation in case anyone else related.I was getting a regular cleaning and had one of the doctors come in to check.She was feeling around for cavities and instantly stabbed down on the ditch/nerve of my bottom lower tooth.I have never felt pain compared to that in my entire life.The trauma was so inflicting, that anytime i think about this cleaning my body can remember the pain.For years this has scared me out of going back to the dentist and has caused me to abandon my cleanings because I am petrified to feel that again.It was seriously my worst medical/health experience of my life and everyday i have to try and regain the confidence to go back and trust someone again,slowly but surely.I also felt at times that this doctor would be very passive aggressive and wasn't willing to work with anxious patients.I was also a child-pre teen-teenager the entire time i attended here.I would not wanna trash talk anybody's practice or dentistry,but I feel like it's important to have these conversations and share these thoughts.This was just my experiences,i do know people who love it here.It just wasn't for me unfortunately and left me with life long lasting trauma.
