First off I am self pay. Retired no dental insurance. Made that clear when I called for an appointment. I digress..have been regularly to a dentist but not exactly satisfied. We moved here during COVID and he was the only one that was taking patients. Back to review. My appointment was for a regular cleaning with no issues. They did panorama and bitewings. Normally they then do the cleaning. Not this time. Dentist comes in behind me says something I thought his name. When he got closer I asked his name. He said it "Riker" not sure. Tells me to open mouth. I did. He mumbles to the tech, I have no idea what he says as he's looking in my mouth. He gets up and leaves. The tech says "The dentist wants a deep cleaning". I say ok but how much does that cost. She left the room, came back and said "$800.00". I said "I can't afford that. Can you just do a regular cleaning?" She says. No.So I say "does they mean if I don't get the deep cleaning, he's not going to treat me?" She said "yes, that's correct " I said "seriously?" Yes. So I walked out. I now have a bill from them for $173.00. They are thieves! The office was not well taken care of nor was the outside. My first impression should have made me walk away to begin with. Don't go there!!!

Here's an honest review of this dental practice. We had two appointments at this office. Our first…read morevisit in 2021 went great with Dr. Young. He was friendly, kind and patient. Even the hygienist was very kind and patient with our 5 year old child. Our child did not have any cavities or dental concerns so we scheduled a return visit for the following year. Our second visit was today and we had a horrible experience. We met with a different hygienist than before and she was rude, inpatient and made our child feel extremely uncomfortable with her remarks. Our child was nervous and started crying when the hygienist came in. Instead of being calm and patient, the hygienist told our child if she did not stop crying " Mommy would have to wait in the waiting room." Then she proceeded to call another hygienist in and told me to hold my child down so they could brush her teeth. I said, ABSOLUTELY NOT! If my child is nervous, why would I restrain her? That sounds very aggressive and abusive to me. I told the hygienist that we can cancel the appointment or try again another time. She walked us to the checkout area. As we were checking out I asked to schedule an appointment with Dr. Young ( the first doctor we saw). The secretary was nice and said she would do it, but before she could put the appointment in Dr. Michael B. Quigley came out and refused to let us reschedule our appointment. His exact words were " If your child cannot handle seeing different providers maybe you should go somewhere else to a smaller, more private practice." I said " Are you refusing us services? " He said " We are not going to reschedule you." He also proceeded to tell me he owns the practice. His racist undertone was disturbing to say the least. I would never go back there again. Dr. Michael B. Quigley and the hygienist we saw today owe our family an apology. The way they treated my child and I was unacceptable.

I first started at Shoppingtown Dental reluctantly because of the "mall" reference (don't let the name put you off... it's not even in Shoppingstown just near it!) but the office was close for travel and took my NYS retiree insurance... up front. I have found this office to be exceptional in terms of insurance billing and pre-approvals (thank you, Pat!) with appointments kept right on time or very close to it... none of these "we're running an hour late.." Most importantly, Dr. Simlote is .... very skilled, very gentle and kind, and very concerned with your well being as he works in your mouth (confirms all is ok as he goes). I cannot speak highly enough of this office, it's staff, and especially Dr. Simlote. . . I can recommend Shoppingtown Dental without reservation.

I did extensive research on cosmetic dentists here in the Syracuse area before finally making the call to set up an appointment with Creative Dental Concepts. If you're anything like me, there is a lot of anxiety associated with any major dental procedure. From day one, Dr. Craybas and his staff made me feel comfortable and instead of dreading each appointment, I couldn't wait!!! My new smile is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! The Facts? *I was able to make an appointment within an extremely reasonable amount of time. *The first impression I had of this office was over the phone while setting up my initial consultation. Nicole was very friendly, welcoming and informative (a huge plus since I was so nervous about this appointment). *I had several visits for my procedure and they never kept me waiting. My appointments were always on time. *The girls in the office are super friendly and always make you feel welcome, especially Kim who worked directly with Dr. Craybas on my shiny new smile! She's a rockstar! *And Dr. Craybas... I can say with 100% confidence, if you are looking for a cosmetic dentist in the Syracuse area, look no further! From day one, he HEARD what I was saying. The artist in him had an image in mind of what my smile would become when he was done and let me tell you, he created a masterpiece! Before seeing Dr. Craybas, my teeth were dark and fragile from a lack of enamel; I have hated my smile for YEARS! And now? I can't stop smiling! My teeth are healthy and beautiful! They are so "ME" and so natural looking; exactly what I asked for :) I would absolutely recommend Dr. Craybas and Creative Dental Concepts of CNY and if I could I would give them many more stars!!!
