After four trip back my car is still not correct. I had a simple cracked bumper from very low impact. Should have been a very simple fix. Totally disgussed with the quality and service. Marv's just wants to blame my insurance company. Last time I checked my insurance company does not do body work. You do not need the details because the string of info is just absolutely ridiculous. After telling many of my friends of this experience they also had bad experiences and will never go back. My insurance company recommended them as they are the " approved auto body" for them. I am very impressed with the work this body shop as done. They practically replaced the entire rear end of my vehicle in a very timely and professional manner. The people I spoke with on the phone were very polite and they genuinely wanted to help me through the process. I looked at all of parts that they replaced and only found a few issues. The first was a very small scratch of the rear bumper. The scratch was less an inch long and not terribly deep. The second was the spacing between the rear doors and the quarter panel. The spacing is just slightly larger than when the car was new. Overall, the two cosmetic issues are very minor and you wouldn't notice them without really looking into it. I would, and will, recommend this body shop to anyone and everyone. Marv's Auto body treated me and my car with respect and care, something that is hard to come by nowadays. read more

I had used Marv's Body Shop when I unfortunately had body damage from an accident. I was pleasantly surprised with how taken care of I had felt during the entire process with the large repairs, insurance communications between the company and body shop, rental car setup, etc. I picked up my car when the body repairs were finished and my car looked amazing! I was so relieved to have felt like I was taken care of during a stressful time and the staff was attentive and wonderful to interact with! Would not recommend Marv's body shop. They told me it would take a week to fix my vehicle and it ended up taking a month. The clear coat had orange peel, there was a tape line on the back of the cab and the key lock on the door does not work. Being a former painter and body tech this is very low grade work. I called to have the issues resolved and they blew me off and never returned my calls. Don't fall for their gimmicky commercials and other ads. Marv's is a low grade body shop period! read more

Marv's Autobody wrote us an initial estimate (body damage to our Subaru Outback) and then a supplemental estimate also (with additional damage) for $3,991.01 and is now charging us $5,002 for the damage to our vehicle (21% higher than their estimate). Marv's got the business based upon having a lower estimate of damage. We got two estimates (one from Sioux Falls Subaru and one from Marv's). Marv's was slightly lower than SF Subaru. The City of Sioux Falls was paying for the damage as they ran into our vehicle and caused the damage and would only pay for the lower of the estimates. So, the check from the City of Sioux Falls was for $3,991.98 and now Marv's is charging us $5,002.88 (21% more than their estimate. As a result of Marv's erroneous estimate, it is costing us more than $1,000 over and above their damage estimate provided by them. When I complained of their erroneous estimate and subsequently higher charge, they told they couldn't do anything about it and wouldn't take any responsibility for their error. I am extremely unhappy and will tell everybody I know of their very poor business practices. Lastly, they told us that the vehicle would be repaired in December of 2022 and we have had to wait until March 22nd of 2023 to get the work done. read more

This place is the worst. I went to get an estimate on the damage for my vehicle because I was hit by someone and I am pregnant. They told me around $2300 for the total damage cost and I brought that paperwork home with me then submitted it to state farm for the claim. After waiting over a week for them to submit their paperwork to state farm, they estimated the total cost to be around $1900 instead of $2300, which I think is absolutely crazy. Seems like once they found out that I wasn't going through them to get my vehicle fixed they decided that the damage to my vehicle wasn't as worthy of the total cost. I would not recommend this place at all whatsoever. They will con you. read more

I was so pleased with the work done on my vehicle by Hadley and his team at Marv's Body Shop. They were incredibly friendly and easy to work with. They also offered me a loaner for the duration of my vehicle's repairs at no additional cost, which was a HUGE relief as my insurance did not provide a rental. I received texts regularly from their automated system, and was able to see photos as they completed the repairs as well as an updated to the price as they did their work. My vehicle was done just ahead of schedule and it looks as good as new. They also cleaned and vacuumed before returning to me. I have already recommended them to friends looking for services. Local WORST, ZERO STARS if i could. Sure tried to use this business, if i could get some communication or a call back from them. After some storm damage on my poor 2007 Subaru, i decided to go with Marvs, my insurance company paid out and i did the leg work by contacting Marvs and forwarding the paperwork and making a handful of calls to them. after a little bit of run around i beleive i spoke with Keith. We spoke a bit and i explained i was not in a huge hurry and to take time with ordering parts and taking care of customers with bigger priorities and let me know when he could get me in. After more than a week, i heard nothing, so i decided to call and got yet another person whom i spoke with to no resolve. First off, i hate having my time wasted. Secondly, i suppose the profit for Marvs just isnt enough for them because i dont drive a 2020 or newer $80K+ Denali or Mercedes. I absolutely hate being made to feel like im some second class citizen because of what i drive.....or is it because i was easy going? This is the type of place that must only cater to people in certain ZipCodes or with certain incomes -OR- is it that too much advertising has brought too much business and you can pick and choose only the high profit jobs? Either way, after this post, im sure ill choose another shop to ensure there will be no retribution taken out on my poor lil Subaru. Sorry i didnt fit your 10s of thousands of dollars worth of repair profits, sorry i only had a few thousand bucks of damage. Sorry im the little guy. read more

We stopped by to get an estimate on repairing the back right side door panel on our SUV and we spoke with the receptionist, who told us it'd be only a few minutes before someone would come outside and take a look. After an hour without anybody coming to look, we went back inside and the receptionist first said she didn't recognize us and then said that someone (the owner) had already looked at it, which we replied that nobody has helped us yet. Finally, someone did come help us and we got our estimate. A week later, they repaired our door (after labor and parts, the price came to $350). However, just now (about 4 days after the scheduled repair) the door panel came off again with us just opening the door normally. There's no evidence of the door panel being replaced despite us getting a bill that said so. I do not recommend this business, it's gone way downhill since Marv sold it. read more

I've used this business two times. Owner/appraiser was friendly & gracious. But both times the work was not done well: each time I had to point things out that needed to be corrected. I took my 2012 Toyota Sienna to Marv's to replace a front bumper cover and repair rear bumper cover damage. They were friendly and acted professionally. They even provided a loaner car while mine was in for repair. However, the loaner was in terrible shape (rocker panel damage, windows seals melted, electrical items like windows and door locks didn't work, bad wheel bearing, etc.). I understand why they didn't have their name on it. After 8 days, I was called that it was completed. I drove to pick it up only to find that there were fish eyes in the paint, debris under the paint and areas that the paint missed completely. The estimator had around 2 dozen masking tape marks indicating the imperfections. I only pointed out 3 or 4. They put me in a rental at their cost and stated that they would redo the bumper issues. I was called 3 days later saying it was done. About 20 minutes later, I was called again saying that they needed to do it all over again because the issues still existed. 15 business days later, I pick my vehicle up. No one talked to me other than giving me my keys and taking my rental keys. There are still scratches on the front bumper cover and on the fender that was not there and I have pictures. I will not use Marv's again. And yes I did pay $3,006.36 for this repair. If they can't do bumper covers (which is a staple of the body shop industry), what else can't they do? Where are the internal quality control and the XX years of experience? read more

Grossly overcharged me. Told me they could not provide an estimate for my brakes and that I would have to visit another shop so I went to Graham. Marv's then proceeded to lie to insurance company that they had inspected my brakes when they had not. They said it was not related to the accident but never inspected them so how would they know? Watch out for Randy the estimator. This was all because they were mad I was going to get my car fixed through them, but then decided to go a more realistic route. Once tried to charge me $1800 for damage to my 04 Dodge Neon's fender. I bought the fender myself for $80 brand new. I also bought two motor mounts which cost me $20 a piece which Marv's did not even notice I needed replaced. Not joking. Scam artists and thieves. read more

I brought my 2016 Mazda CX-5 into Marv' Body Shop because he had worked on my Mazda Tribute years before with excellent service. Absolutely no complaints. This time, however, was a different story. A woman had put a dent and scratch on the passenger rear door. Once I had her insurance information I went directly to Marv's. I worked with an estimator named Eric. He provided me with an estimate of $1300 which included paint blending. After looking at the vehicle and taking photos he assured me that paint blending was needed. I went home and e-mailed the quote to the insurance agent. The next morning the insurance agent called me and told me based on "the revised" estimate, I could get my car fixed. I had no idea what he was talking about. So, I called Eric at Marv's and he told me the insurance agent would not pay for paint blending so Eric took the paint blending out of the quote and sent the agent a revised quote of approx. $914. The quote was almost $400 less than what I had been quoted and Eric removed the paint blending (which I had been told it needed to be done.) from the original quote without talking to me first. I advised Eric I did not want short cuts taken with my vehicle and that I wanted the paint blended, bottom line. I would not agree to the repairs without the paint blending done. I then got a call from Evan, Manager and Partner. I told him of my concerns and taking short cuts on my repair. Evan looked at the photos and he, too, agreed that paint blending needed to be done. I again stated I would not agree to repairs without the paint blending done. I have e-mails to confirm this. He also told me the insurance agent would pay for the blending as long as Marv's Body Shop took pictures of the blending. Based on assurances from Evan that there would be no short cuts and that the paint blending would be done, I agreed to the repair. When I was called and told my vehicle was done, I went to Marv's to pick up my repaired Mazda. I noticed immediately the final cost was in the $900 range (final bill) and that paint blending had not been done. In spite of all our conversations and e-mails, the service done to my vehicle was not as agreed. Eric, the original estimator, came out to the reception desk and the first thing he said was Marv's probably just wrote it off and that is why it wasn't on the bill. Seriously? The receptionist had just advised me if it wasn't on the bill, then it wasn't done. So much for believing Eric! Today, Evan called me and he was rude. He said he was out-of-town last week and could not "babysit" my vehicle and now demanded payment. He no longer cared about my concerns or our agreement and just wanted payment. NEVER AGAIN. I am making a copy of this review to be included with my Better Business Complaint. read more

My vehicle had lots of damage and it looks great now! It took longer than I anticipated but I understand why. I really appreciated the loaner vehicle during the repair process. There was a greasy handprint on the inside. It was easily cleaned it. Thanks for returning my Flex in great shape! read more
