I recently bought a used car from Frankman's and the process was the easiest I've ever experienced…read more I started my used car search around Sioux Falls a few weeks ago and spent a few days looking around and my visit to Frankman was refreshing. The atmosphere was very low pressure and I had a nice visit with their sales team. I felt like they really listened and understood what I was looking for. Their website is so easy to use and a great tool for getting payment estimates. Everyone was upfront about credit factors, trade-ins, any fees, and fully disclosed everything. They went over a few options and even offered to let me bring a car seat and try a few out. I was so comfortable that they didn't pressure I spent a another few weeks looking and when we finally found something we liked we went back and bought. It was quick and easy. I've had a few friends that have been here and liked it, and I can see why. We were treated wonderfully and would gladly buy again.

Purchased a 23 Silverado from these guys for 38k. Within a couple weeks the trans was making a…read morewhining noise coming from the pan. I brought it back under the 3 month 3k in house warranty that they offer. I was initially told that they could hear "some" noises and they were leaning towards a Transmission pump. Said they would call me by the end of the work day, no call. Next morning, I called and they said everything was good to go and they changed the tranny fluid and the noise went away. I told them changing the fluid was just a temporary fix, and they needed to address the real issue. They insisted that the TSB out on that vehicle suggested changing trans fluid and see what it does. From what I can tell the TSB said to drop the pan as well and Inspect for shavings or damage as well. This was not done. Instead, they sent me home with a measly 1k miles more on my warranty. Needless to say, I'm 500 miles over thier 1k extension and my trans is whining again. They also said they would get me a deal on a serpentine belt and idler pulley that was going out. When I got the estimate it was 287 dollars without tax. Parts are 120 bucks. I dont see any kind of a "deal" there. The last thing I would like to address is this company promps google 5 star reviews "asks customers to leave reviews" I'm sure like in all the other 1 star reviews they will put this all on the customer.

I brought my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk in for a cylinder misfire. Almost $1k later I was…read moretold it was fixed and ready for pickup. Excited to get my vehicle back, I remote start and head inside to pay the bill. I come out and the car isn't running at all. So I hop inside and fire it up, only to find that it's idling rough and there's a check engine light on the dash. I let the guy that was handling my case know before I leave the parking lot, and he's ask me to bring it in to look at it. After a few minutes he's come back and tells me that it's has something to do with programming and they didn't have to authority from the manufacturer to do it. So, I take it to another shop for a second opinion (still running rough and all mind you). The transmission shop that I was referred to by the person helping me at Tires-3, told me that there was a vacuum leak because they forgot to put a tube back. I returned to them for the fix and all was well for a month and half. Cylinder misfire is again an issue and I gave this shop a chance to fix the issue yet again, only to be told that it's now a head gasket going out and now quoted for an $11k engine replacement. So, I again take it to another shop for a second opinion. Turns out my oil cooler is leaking and there's a faulty transfer case module. No head gasket issue, no special programming needed, no new engine needed. Long story short, get a second opinion....always. Even if it was a head gasket issue, it shouldn't be an engine replacement as an answer. There are kits out there for gasket replacement, but knowing what I know now I don't trust this place to do the work in it's entirety.

They are charging over $800 for replacing wheel bearing, studs, lug nuts, and a rim replacement. We supplied our own tires and several studs. Had we gotten the vehicle back on monday after everything I wouldn't mind the $800+ price. When I called to discuss the price since it's so high considering the time frame they've had the car, I was told that considering the work they did it isn't that high. But We have been without a car for nearly a week and any time I have called to check on progress we've been told "we're doing it right now". I will not ever be going back to them or recommending them again.
