I accidentally locked myself out of my house, and called Marty's to let me in. The person who answered the phone was rude immediately, and spoke with a condescending tone. He said he'd send someone out. An older man met me outside my house, and I noticed his countenance shift immediately after noticing that I am African American. He proceeded to tell me that he couldn't let me in because he had no way to know for sure that I lived there, even though I offered to bring up my lease on my iPad and show him some old mail that I had in my truck with the address on it. He kept repeating that he couldn't help me. I sent him away, and will never do business with him again. read more
