Give the prices, do not make comments on what is brought in. I have three dogs and was told that it would be extra for hair, which is fine, and the woman that was accepting kept saying "I would really appreciate it being brushed next time," which I had done. Then she proceeded to say "some people are allergic and hair costs extra," (again fine for the extra charge). I came in to have laundry done not to be berated for having dogs. There is a reason they have only 1.9 stars. I requested heavy starch on my shirts. They look as though they were tossed in a dryer on low heat. There are noticeable wrinkles and no starch. The woman working agreed that it was not heavy start "or even medium starch," she explained. An hour later, I received a call. The manager was rude and said they do not do heavy starch on Cowboy Shirts with decorative buttons. She expected me to pay $59--the total price. I would have agreed to some sort of discount because of their miscommunication. She pulled the shirts and said, "I guess you don't want your shirts." I paid for my shirts but told her I would dispute the charge with my credit card company. She called me an A****** when I left. I see why the last six reviews are all one-star rated. I took my comforter to this location. I dropped it off on a Monday and my receipt said it would be ready Thursday. I went to get it Thursday and it was still in a " pile " as the employee stated. I was disappointed but understood. I went Friday and picked it up took it home and out of the package and they ruined it! There are fuzzies and human hair all over the back of it! That's disgusting! This is a expensive comforter and my favorite comforter! I'm so angry and so disappointed! Well that shirt was made of polyester it's $5, and that shirt has short sleeves so it's $7, and that shirt is red so it's $8 It's the only place near where I live, but I'm just going to have to travel further to find a place with better service and better (and standard) pricing read more

I took my king sized comforter in to be cleaned. They charged me $47 I asked why so much to do a cleaning the worker told me because it's a down comforter with feathers in it and they don't dry it so it takes more time. When I picked it up there was two dryer sheets in the bag they gave the comforter to be in. So they obviously dried it. Getting it home and from the pics I took they obviously shrunk my expensive comforter. I spoke with the manager Lisa and she accused me of switching the comforter lol she also refused to refund my money so I had to dispute this with my bank unfortunately. DO NOT USE THIS DRY CLEANER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF! I went here to drop off 3 dresses for cleaning. Had never been there before. The clerk took all 3 and gave me a slip, but it didn't list any prices. When I asked how much per dress, she said $17. I was shocked and took back 2 of them, only leaving 1 for cleaning. Went today to pick up the dress. Suddenly my bill was $24.99. When I told the clerk the original clerk who took my order told me $17, she said they decided after the fact it was a "special occasion" dress for $24.99. This is not a gown, bridemaid, etc., just a knee length dress. I asked for them to honor the quote they gave me, and the clerk called the owner since she couldn't do it. The owner chose to argue the point with me via speaker phone for probably 15 minutes. She claimed the original clerk should have said "$17 and up" so it's $24.99. When I asked her to honor the $17 quoted by her employee, she refused and told me to "come back tomorrow and she would look at the dress and decide". Why am I responsible for her poor training of her employees? Why do I have to make another trip? Then she called back and instructed the clerk how to "re-bill" it. This time it was $20.99 (again not the $17 quoted). I asked the clerk if I could just give her $17 cash and the owner could make the system adjustment tomorrow. She said she couldn't or she'd lose her job. I ended up paying the $20.99 just to put an end to this fiasco! What a poor business owner! Apparently she has no concept of customer service. She chose to have this conversation with other customers within ear shot of how she was poorly treating another customer. I will never go there again and you shouldn't either! read more

The owner of this business is very unprofessional and rude. I brought in two pendleton blankets to be cleaned, and obviously asked about cost before I left. She explained, at length ( with another employee present ) that she would need to charge 35 a blanket because of "pet hair" . She called our house afterward wanting to wash them in water ( they are Pendleton/dry clean only) so we declined. made no mention of needing to charge more. When we picked up, she charged over $90- and when my husband went to speak to her, she was incredibly rude and lied straight up about quoting me. I would never, ever recommend this business. Martinizing Arvada branch closed unexpectedly with no contact to the customers. My husband went to pick up his dress blues uniform, and the store had closed with nothing inside. So he had to purchased a new uniform. 2 months later I get a call from the Lisa at the Thornton branch of Martinizing Cleaners. Lisa stated that they had my husbands uniform and would be taking it to Goodwill if we did not pick it up. Delighted with the news, I drove to Thornton to pick up his now "back up" suit. Martinizing wanted to charge me full price for their excellent service and for a suit that they were going to take to goodwill! There are companies that recognize a major customer inconvenience and take accountability, those companies know that people do value REVIEWS! Martinizing needs to evaluate their customer service! My guess is Thornton's branch will also be closing soon! read more

My most recent experience was very bad. We had a one clothing item smell very bad like urine (not the first time it has happened) of which I walked back to the store and the store manager was not friendly or courteous or seemed to be knowledgeable - couldn't find when the item was cleaned - so I provided her with the date of my last charge to my American Express. She refused to provide me with Brad Johnson's (owner) contact information so I found him on Facebook and notified him of my very bad experience - no response to date hence prompting me to write this review. The manager essentially called me a liar indicating that she would not let any garment out that was not clean. I own a small medical practice. If any of my patients were treated like she treated me would not have a job. It cost me more to physically go into the store and request the item be re-dry cleaned than for me to buy it new. I am not surprised at the low ratings. We have been a customer since they opened around 2005. My wife and I participated when Brad requested us to acknowledge how clean smelling our clothes smelled post cleaning - ironic - the reason why I requested the clothing item be recleaned - combined with a bad manager and customer service - Brad can find someone else's clothes the clean... I recently brought in 7 holiday costumes to Martinizing Dry Cleaning, only to have them destroyed. These costumes are used once a year, when we create a Magical Winter Wonderland for children. Many of which are terminally ill or suffering from serious medical conditions. Some possibly celebrating their last Christmas. We treat them to a day filled with joy, gifts, food, entertainment from these characters. Martinizing "washed" the costumes together with a bright red Santa suit, causing everything to turn pink. When it was brought the manager Lisa's attention- she offered nothing. Her exact statement was, "Maybe you should return them to the place of purchase, we washed them according to the tags directions" Well Lisa - everyone that has done laundry before know you don't wash a bright red Santa suit with an all white Olaf- For that your business receives a 1 star from me. read more

Took my dress to be hemmed for my daughter's wedding. three weeks prior. The manager, Lisa, placed one pin on the outer chiffon layer and told me that was all she needed. Picked it up one week later and aside from it being longer than we discussed, the lining was hanging out from under the chiffon layer 1" to 2" in areas. The seamstress was on vacation and wouldn't be back until next week which is the week of the wedding. Feeling uncomfortable with Lisa placing another pin to mark where the hem should be and having to wait for another week for their seamstress to take a look at it, I asked for a refund so I might be able to take it to a seamstress that could help me now. She refused! I owned a bridal shop for over decade and never would have had a client leave unhappy over $40! Ha! read more

I am so disappointed with my experience with Martinizing Dry Cleaning! SUPER shady business! I called prior to bringing my Kate Spade purse in to see if they offered services to clean the lining. I said the lining in this bag could be pulled out (not having to try to work inside the bag) and the very nice man I spoke with said they could do it and quoted me a price. I had just purchased the bag and took pictures when I got it (2 days prior to taking it in). The leather was in great condition, there was one small mark but other than that it was in great condition. The lining was very yellowed and I had hoped they would have something strong enough to clean it. I dropped off the bag and told the young man I had spoken with that I JUST wanted the lining cleaned, he offered a leather service and I told him that the leather was in great shape and I just wanted the lining cleaned. Period. He took the purse and agreed to only do the lining. Two days later I go in to get the purse. I pay and wait for them to bring it over, when they do not only is the lining still yellow but the leather is now damaged. The strap got the worst of it and the back side zipper area where they obviously pulled the lining out and cleaned up to the leather. The owner, Lisa, told me that she didn't know if it was in good condition or not when I brought it in but she would not refund me or replace the item. I never wanted her to replace the item, I only wanted to be reimbursed for the shotty work they had done which I thought was more than fair on their end. She declined and told me the only thing she would do is offer gift cards for the next time I came in. I told her there was no way I would return so they could damage other items. Happened to be checking their store hours and saw that their rating isn't that great. All I can say is my wife and I have been using Martinizing for over 7 years and are still coming back. We probably average 3 loads a month and I don't recall any damage or issues as far as clothes coming back clean. We have had bags lost for a while but ultimately found, and although in store service is always at least decent I did have a bad experience when I called in to review an issue. We have only used them a few times for tailoring, great except for one issue which they fixed at no charge. Not a big fan of their parking area next to a busy Starbucks drive-thru, but the location is great for us. read more

Dropped off some items to have cleaned and was given a ticket that stated when the items would be ready for pick-up and was also told when the items would be ready for pick-up. When I went to pick-up my items on the date stated on my ticket they were not ready. Their policy stated and is posted on the wall that if items were not ready when stated, the service was free. I brought this up to them and pointed to their sign and they Refused to honor their policy, quite Rudely. No reason given. I asked to have the pant legs on my jeans taken in, not shortened. When I went to pick them up I noticed that they we shorter and not taken in. When I told the lady that there was a mistake, she automatically started blaming me, which was funny because she wasn't even there when I dropped the pants off. There was another lady that witnessed this lady yelling at me, and when I asked how to get a hold of an owner or manager she said to email the website. I did, and never heard anything back. I have used them for the last couple of years and haven't minded paying more than other dry cleaners for convenience of picking up and dropping off dry cleaning to my house. Then one day my shirts don't show up to the house and it's my fault. She claims her driver has the receipts and I should check with my neighbors. I dropped off my daughters dress on Thursday morning and was told it would be ready on Friday after 3 PM...Great I thought. I stopped by Saturday morning to pick it up and it was not ready and no explanation as to why. The attendant asked if I wanted a manager to call me which I said that would be great. I did not receive a call on Monday so I stopped Tuesday morning to pick up the dress, again it was not ready and no explanation as to why. Horrible experience! A week before my wedding, I called and asked if I could drop off my dress to get pressed. The women said yes and that it would be ready Thursday before my Friday wedding. It was off to a great start. I dropped off my wedding dress and there was a young kid working the counter. He was friendly, but not very smart. The receipt said it would be ready 8/28 and I said, the women said it would be ready for my wedding 7/31. He said, well just call and I will let you know if it's ready or not. I'm like, um no I need it by this day. Is that going to work or no? He said yes. Then I said, my train is super long, will it just wrinkle when you put it back in the bag. He said, we can put it in a box for $62. Ummm ok no. He totally stressed me out! 2 days later a women call and asked it I wanted it cleaned ($160) or just pressed ($100). It was a little dirty underneath but it looked perfectly fine. She said, I have never pressed a dirty dress. So rude and more added stress because I was questioning myself. Fast forward to Thursday. I come in and tell a different young kid my name. He said, we don't have anything for you. I said, yes you absolutely do! Then the same rude women comes out from the back and said, oh you are the one that's getting married with a dirty dress? I went from my alteration lady to the cleaners and didn't clean out the bag. There were dress leftovers on the bottom and the women was trying to charge for them. I said, I didn't need my scraps pressed? Thankfully I prepaid so she didn't add it to my bill. I said, this experience has been added stress to my already stressful COVID wedding planning. She said something totally rude and I said, ok I guess I won't be coming back.
