Do a very good job and prompt. The only knock is that they're kind of expensive. The staff is friendly. I never get quoted a price. Most things that can be laundered and pressed or recommended for dry cleaning, even if this is just simply blue Jean shirt read more

Always courteous and always on time. No issues with any garments. Prices are pretty much the same as anywhere else.

Asked to have some sweaters cleaned and boxed. Was told they could do it. When I came to pick up my items they were not boxed, and I was told that they cannot do that that the items would not fit and that they don't like to box those things because it could leave fold marks. I am shipping these items! I wanted them wrapped in plastic for a reason. As I asked when I dropped the items off. If you weren't able to do it why didn't anyone call me? So I pay for a service I didn't want. I would have taken my items elsewhere. read more

DO NOT GO there you will waste your time, your money, and your cloths. I took my expensive Versace suit there to be cleaned, and I received it back totally burned and damaged the owner didn't do anything about it. Had to run look for something else to attend the party. Do not go you will loose your cloths and end up with nothing to wear. read more

Martinizing Dry Cleaning - Dry Cleaning Near Me - San Diego, California

When you turn in your goods for a service, you expect to receive all the same goods in return, no matter how big or small. It's part of doing honest business. These people however, will swap your quality hangars for their cheap hangars when you turn in your suits. I turned in a suit with its hangar that was specific to the suit (stainless steel with a crossbeam to hang the slacks on) and they returned it with the cheap 50¢ wire hangars (someone else picked it up for me and didn't notice). I returned to the store with my ticket and asked for my hangar back, and was shocked when the woman there turned hostile on me. She said she would check the cameras to prove she returned my hangar, but of course this was a bluff because she then claimed she was too busy at the moment. I returned again later when she wasn't busy, and said I would accept any of the other coat hangars I saw they were collecting in the back, but they refused to give me any of the ones with the crossbeams for the pants. She then tried to gaslight me saying I was obsessing over a triviality and that she was done dealing with me. What appears to be going on, is she and her daughter collect the quality hangars they receive from customers, and use them for help in dry-cleaning and other uses. They especially like the ones you can fold pants over in addition to the suit jacket. They're only able to get away with this because of how petty the practice is, but it's still dishonest nonetheless. read more

Martinizing Dry Cleaning - Cheap hangar they swap you for - Dry Cleaning Near Me - San Diego, California

Unprofessional/disrespectful owner, poor quality dry cleaning and VERY high prices! The day before my two week trip out of the country, spending $140 to pick up my dry cleaning, I started to pack. My favorite, new pant, light in color, had a huge stain on the back. What really got me was that there was no STAIN ticket on the hanger. I brought them back after the trip, because obviously I didn't bring them on the trip, asked for money back and requested them to try again. The owner told one of his employees to tell me that he tried his best and doesn't want my business anymore, after being a patron for many years. I told the employee that how could he have tried his best when there wasn't even a stain ticket on the pants. You should know too that he has a second location called Fairlane dry cleaners on Jackson Drive which is even worse! I started going there, only to find out he owned that too. Consumer beware! read more

GET PRICE QUOTE WHEN DROPPING OFF CLEANING. Called to ask price and was told $34 for queen comforter. Showed the woman at the counter the tags and asked her what the price is for standard full. Same price. She looked at computer and told me it was $31 and ready on Saturday. Went back to pick it up and was told, by the owner Simon, that the price is $46. Told him that I was quoted $31. He said "I don't see that on the slip." We went round and round. Suggested he speak to his worker to write down quoted price so customer gets the correct pricing. I was told to please not come back. Fair enough as I don't like to give business to companies that bait and switch. read more

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Due to COVID-19 I've been working from home in my pajamas like many other people. I needed a suit cleaned on short notice for an important work commitment. When I came in first thing in the morning, I was told they can't do same day due to COVID (which I completely understood, it was my own lack of planning, not their fault!) I explained the situation and the person at the front told me she would see what could be done. I got a phone call a few hours later and my suit was ready!! I'm so thankful for the great customer service and quick turnaround from this great neighborhood business, thank you so much! read more

Fast, friendly and good service at a good price. I failed to mention a stain when I dropped off my items. I asked to have the pants re-done and they did so without making this an issue. The pants were clean to my satsifaction. read more

I have previously brought numerous articles of clothing to this location with no problems. I even had my wedding dress cleaned by this location. After my experience today, I will no longer be using them. They ruined 2 silk shirts that I brought in to be dry cleaned. One of which was brand new and only worn twice. The other had a belt that came back tattered and torn. Both lost their color and sheen. Not only did they not take responsibility for the ruined clothing, they blamed me for the damage. I will take my business elsewhere and I suggest you do too. read more

I brought my boutique dress to be cleaned and pressed only to find out the day before Easter Sunday they damage the lace front of my dress. Which indicates they neglected to handle my dress with care. In addition the tear on my dress happen on Friday which means they had ample amount of time to expedite the correction since it would only take a day, hmm I guess the damages made by this company did not see it was necessary to act quickly. Oh not to mention they left no messages on my phone to let me know what happen to my dress. Instead they did a hack stitch job and on the lace front and said I could still wear my dress the next day and to come in on Monday, thereby missing my graduation photo shoot due to there negligence. Will not be coming back read more

THE WORST CLEANERS EVER! Came here to dry clean my Hugo boss suite and instead they laundried it and it shrunk. Came to talk to the owner who has the worst customer service. His only answer about anything was "take me to small claims court if you are not satisfied." Well little does he know that I am an attorney and I will take him to court. Bad cleansers with worst customer service!!! read more

Just an update. Bob lost his battle with cancer this past December. His smile and wonderful attitude is truly missed. I will continue to support OHM. Bob hired excellent staff upon whom I can always depend to do an excellent job with my dress shirts and dry cleaning. I consider it an honor to have known Bob. read more

!:-) 100% white washed... Quality, Professional Service that CARES. I was at "the other" neighborhood place that did nothing but press package and wrap my dirty clothes... (yes, they forgot to wash/clean them.. duh.) My neighbor told me to check out MARTINIZING DRY CLEANING... (it's their go to place.) Brie the pretty gal at the counter greeted us and I explained to them what I needed and what had happened to me previously.... (I just wanted to make sure they took care of me and I told them they came highly recommended.) I have to wear casual business attire at work at the very least, so I'd be a regular customer. Brie made mental note of my needs and asked me to come back tomorrow for pick up.. Prices were the same as "the other" place, but service and quality were not.. (this place rocked!) When I came back for a pick up... she had my pants cleaned and pressed and even showed me the details for my approval. She said they had problems with one khaki.. I pretty much knew which ones... (Flaming Cheetohs are not my friend.) She said that she wanted to show me that they had problems removing the marks on the seat but that she'd try one more method and wanted to discuss. WoW.. details.. She's good! 100% white washed was the term I believe she used.. It means they've gone environmentally friendly, no bad chemicals and thus far their the only ones with a conscience.... ME LIKEY! I wanted to give them 4 woofs, but when she paid attention to details and showed me the quality of service, and their environmentally friendly attitude.. I was hooked.. I'm told I'll be put on their V.I.P. list, which means I get 10% off all my cleaning.. (I'm sure she says this to all guys, but still, its a good deal and very considerate of them to suggest.) 5 Woofs.. As good as it gets.. I noticed a placard for the owner who had recently passed. :-( He should be very proud of his daughters... A+ Ps. if your in need of a tailor, there is one 2 doors down... so you won't have to go elsewhere. read more

I am giving ZERO stars (had to select one, that isn't deserved to submit) to the new ownership and staff at this location. I have taken clothes to this facility for many years and recently took a brand new men's dress shirt worn one time to be cleaned. Upon pick up noted a hole in the buttonhole side front of the shirt the size of a dime. Received a call from Sam who defended his staff stating this must've been a small hole when dropped off which became larger upon cleaning. Seriously? I stood and watched the shirt be inspected upon intake and there was no hole. They know that. If you take your clothing here you can expect NO accountability to what happens to your clothing in their possession. Also noted was the poor customer service I received both in the store and on the phone with Sam. I will not be going back after I pick up the shirt which I will now have to pay to have repaired. Very disappointed. read more

I waited until the last minute to get clothes cleaned for a wedding we were attending that evening. When I went into Martinizing they told me they were no longer doing one hour/same day due to everything going on with COVID. I was annoyed with my own lack of planning but when I told them I was hoping to get them done for an event that evening, she offered to press them immediately to help out. She quickly freshened and pressed my husband's pants and shirt and had me out the door in 5 minutes- saved the day! I have been coming to this same location for over 10 years and they have always done a great job, but this time they truly went above and beyond- thank you! read more

This place is right next to my amazing tailor (Star Tailoring) so I thought I would give it a try. Good dry cleaner - next day pick up. I stopped going to my old cleaners when my clothes were coming back with a really funky smell - no bad smell here! I love the convenience of their hours and they had no problem putting a rush on a dress I needed to pick up the next day. They are a couple doors down from Star Alterations and I tried to drop of a couple items for alterations, but they were closed even though it was past opening time. I went in to Martinizing to ask if there was anywhere else I could go. Instead they were nice enough to take the items from me, with the promise they would drop them off for me as soon as Star was open. They came through for me, I picked up my items and everything was perfect. The staff at Martinizing are always very nice and polite. read more

Been using this place for 5 years, and even though I moved several miles away a few years ago I still use them because they are the best. I was sorry to hear of Bob's passing when I went in to pick up clothing a few months ago. Went here because I had to get a uniform done on short notice and no other cleaner would do it for me. But THEY DID. Without hesitation she told me to come in and that the uniform would be ready the next day without any extra fee. I brought my three long sleave button up shirts to get cleaned and pressed "professionally" One shirt in particular required hand washing and pressing. it was not hand washed, but mechanically washed and pressed. The button cuff links were left on the shirt( only because the lady at the counter told me not to worry about taking them off) one was completely gone, the other was destroyed, and the automated pressing machine pressed what was left of the other into the shirt leaving a button sized divot. Collar has marks as if the material started to melt. My $90 shirt is wrecked. I was told the owner would contact me to resolve my issue, but no one called. I called and left a message, no call back. read more

There's a cute young man there named Mike...what a sweetheart!

Spendy and not accurate. I dropped off one shirt, one pair of trousers, and a set of camis to be cleaned and pressed. While I was dropping everything off I asked if they could clean/press my cover. The lady told me that wouldn't be a problem. The next day I picked up and my cover was not pressed my shirt wasn't pressed to my satisfaction and my camis were not pressed nearly enough. I wouldn't have minded the price had they done a good job but 20 bucks for half quality seemed steep to me. I will be sure to find a better cleaner in the La Mesa area. read more

I have been using this dry cleaner for two years, but will never return. They damaged my dress and didn't want to take responsibility for damaging it and wanted to charge me to have it fixed. Ontop of it all the stain I wanted removed wasn't removed. Its very unfortunate that the owner treated me the way he did and was more concerned about getting more money out of me and blaming me for the damage caused to the dress I just picked up from his place of business than rectifying the situation. read more

Generally a pretty good dry cleaner. I take all of my work shirts here weekly and have been doing so for a few years now. Pros: They are fast and cheap! Same day service when dropped off by 11am, I have yet to find another dry cleaner that will reliably offer this service. Very reasonably priced at about $2 per dress shirt. For 99% of my needs, this place is perfect. Cons: You do get a bit of what you pay for as I find that my shirts shrink slowly, but consistently over time, becoming unwearable in about 6 months or so. I have never had this issue with other dry cleaners and when mentioned to the staff, I was told simply that they should not shrink and they did not know what would cause this. I used to have issues with the quality of their pressing of the cuffs on my french cuff shirts, but now I simply take my nicer clothes elsewhere and stick with bringing in just my cheaper work shirts. read more

I am responding to a misleading overly negative review of this fine dry cleaner.. in my business I require suits to be ready last minute. The original owner Bob and now the new owner are equally qualified to provide consistently friendly and reliable service. That is, as long as i arrive maybe a min or so before 11:00 AM That has been my experience with same day cleaners, I have never encountered a cleaner who will clean and press my suit ANY TIME I arrive! The person who gave this cleaner one star is very unfair. To expect a cleaner to hire the persons who press the clothing at virtually any time in the 12 hour business of operation is not practical - there are a crew who clean, but pressers are a different function. And the one star rating characterizes a , to me, naive if not unwise unkind, person. I have been to many cleaners in my long lifetime and the courtesy found here is top shelf. I can even arrive on a Saturday which many cleaners do not honor. read more

I've been bring my dry cleaning here for well over 10 years and I have never had any problem. Everyone is always polite and friendly. Friendly, courteous and honest staff with great customer service! I've been using their service for several years now and most recently returned from a trip where I had a lot of items. Unfortunately, I did not check my stuff very well before sending them in for cleaning. After picking up my items, to my surprise, there was a bag with my clothes that contained a decent amount of cash and other belongings that I left in my suit. Thank you for being honest, professional and providing great service! It is very rare these days. read more

Martinizing USED to be a reliable place for dry cleaning. Unfortunately, not so any more. The quality has DROPPED to a very large extent. The laundry faded the colors in a men's shirt that I had ENTRUSTED to them. Items are placed carelessly on hangers after they have dry cleaned. The WORST thing that occurred was that a knit top that I had dry cleaned SHRUNK!!! How is that possible?! Maybe, they WASHED it! I ENTRUSTED this top to them because the directions said to DRY CLEAN it ONLY. So, they SHRUNK it!!! Also, they are NOT standing behind their work to replace it. Each person just passed the buck. The owners were not willing to do the right thing. Please don't go to this dry cleaners. They will take you to the cleaners!! read more

You better make sure you know how much they are going to charge you , I just got charged almost $22 for 4 shirts , I never got charged so much .
