***** WARNING PLEASE READ ***** They get ONE STAR because ZERO isn't an option. Which I think YELP should look into. My parents ages 85 and 83 have been LIFETIME customers since they opened. To be honest there are some shady doings going on there. My mother had a blouse that she dropped off and when she picked it up and got it home, she noticed EVERY BUTTON was exchanged with some cheap trashy buttons. Also she had a yellow shirt that Mr. YOUNG and his staff couldn't find.....miraculously a few weeks later it was hanging up for her to pick up. CLEARLY someone used her shirt for their own personal usage and then brought it back to re dry clean. Ever notice how Mr. YOUNG always hand carries and places your clothes in your trunk or car JUST FOR YOU, next time look at the garments and load them up yourself or they're probably the wrong item. It might not be Mr. Young, perhaps his staff in the back of the shop, but HE CLEARLY knows shady stuff is going on. He acknowledged the swapped out buttons. Do yourselves a favor and keep moving by till u find another spot. Basically they're shady even when it's cloudy and rainy outside. read more

I get it mistakes happen like laundering instead of dry cleaning, my personal experience, but to have the owner be completely dismissive on an issue brought to his attention and then wishing me good luck on finding a different dry cleaners... My grandmother recently passed away and while tending to her things, I kept a vintage wool sweater she was excited to have found at a thrift store. (She loved treasure hunting, she called thrift shops "gorgeous wear boutiques".) I bought it in for dry cleaning, not realizing that the sweater's tag recommended against this. My husband picked it up this morning and it's completely ruined, shrunk to half its size. He rushed back, upset on my behalf, and explained that it had been my grandmother's, and was told "it says do not dry clean on the label" and "it wasn't her grandmother's, it had a thrift store tag on it!" It's amazing the details he remembered about a sweater he turned into garbage. Thanks for ruining something I wanted to wear to remember my grandma, for humiliating my husband, for clearily seeing it was wrecked and wrapping it up in plastic for delivery anyway! What a cruel and horrible joke. If you care about your belongings, or memories for that matter, I would certainly never trust this cleaner with them. read more

The dry cleaner in Casa De Oro that I loved went out of business, (I'm assuming due to the slumlord conditions of the strip mall where they rented.) So, I tried out Casa de Oro Royal Cleaners. I save up my dry-cleanables and take 'em all together -- so it can be several months between visits. I'll leave them in the plastic and put them in the closet and honestly forget about them. That is what happened June 2016 -- I took some stuff to Casa de Oro, brought it home and forgot about it. A couple weeks ago, Feb 2017, I returned to Casa de Oro Dry Cleaners with a new bundle. This time I needed​ to use them right away for a trip. When I picked them up, while still in the shop, I lifted the plastic sheath and a heavy perfume wafted out and the surface felt dusty to the touch. I asked the woman assisting me about the scent -- if it was added -- thinking maybe it could be redone without. She seemed flustered and claimed to not know what I was talking about. She was repeating something about her husband while shaking her head and waving her hand as she backed away -- leaving me standing there. Without resolution I took my clothes home. By the time I got home l was having an allergic-like reaction. I have a sensitivity to chemicals/VOCs, but never reacted to my previous beloved dry-cleaner's cleaned clothes. Curious about the previous Casa de Oro set from 2016, I pulled out the clothes and took the plastic off​, and they also had a smell. I laid out all the clothes in a ventilated room hoping the scent would dissipate over the last couple weeks. Nope. Yesterday I took them outside and hung them in the sun -- today they are slightly better, but still have a scent. (And now the room they were in stinks.) $250 in dry cleaning and I can't get near them.... My one star review is not for the smell. (Some people must like that scent.) My one star review is for lack of customer service. Poor customer service and poor communication skills from both the husband and wife owners. They don't value their customers unfortunately and won't admit to mistakes they make. I dropped my dress shirt off to be dry cleaned before a wedding and the male owner said come back in two days it will be ready. I was pretty happy about how fast it would be done. I return two days later and the shirt was not ready and the owner instead of apologizing for their mistake accused me of hearing him wrong. I was annoyed but willing to let go of their mistake and he was able to have the shirt finished the next day. I was willing to give them another chance. Another time the zipper on my dress pants broke after I had it dry cleaned. I went back asking if they can fix the damaged zipper. I was very polite with the female owner. She denied that anything was done to damage the pants and was very rude. She said "we do nothing wrong here. This is old zipper." The pants were only a couple months old. She wanted to charge me for a new zipper for the damage they caused. I was less angry about the pants but more frustrated with the poor customer service and lack of appreciation for their customers. Totally BAD Experience !! I brought in a Corneliani Blazer ,that I sold online ,I picked the Blazer stuffed in a shipping box and shipped to my client. He gets it and immediately complained about the Pearl buttons all damaged ? I asked him to send a picture he did. WORST SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! Total negative on the stars if possible. This was a comedy of errors on numerous times and it even led to being STABBED BY A NEEDLE LEFT IN THE CLOTHING!!!!! ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE IMAGINABLE!!!!!! First I go in to get a jacket repaired. Button replaced, and button reinforced as well as get the lining repaired. I explained EVERYTHING to the owners on what needed to be done and a price of $30 was determined and a pick up date was also agreed to be Monday or Tuesday, but he said he would call me either way. This is where it all starts..... Come tuesday 6pm, I have not received a call, so I call him. To my surprise, they have not even started the jacket. To top it off they want me to come back and give a $20 deposit in order to work on it. Bear in mind this is a $1500 jacket! I fight the bonehead request for a deposit and he agrees. But he tells me it will take 3 days to finish, so it will be ready Friday now LOL. I agree. But it still gets worse!!!! He calls back and now says the jacket will cost $38 dollars to fix!!! I as why the change in price, he says he did not know how to price the repairs correctly. (Isn't he the OWNER??? WTF!!! $8 dollars in not going to make or break me and his stupidity, was not worth my time) I actually go to the store to pay IN FULL for the jacket and discuss with him on how he seriously OVER PROMISED AND UNDER DELIVERED on all aspects of this transaction. He is absolutely CLUELESS. I can go on and on on his boneheadedness but it makes my head hurt!!! Ok, day of pick up. I grab the jacket, take it home to surprise my girlfriend, she puts it on and she screams!!!! THEY LEFT A NEEDLE IN THE SLEEVE THAT WAS REPAIRED. And they only did half of the button repairs. I will enclose pictures of the half ass repair and the needle they left in the sleeve!!! I go back AGAIN!!! I am heated, but understandable. I explain that they did not do the work and I wanted a refund and I also explained to them that they left a needle in the jacket. What they both tried to do was hilarious.....THEY BOTH TRIED TO GRAB THE NEEDLE FROM ME LOL. No luck, I still have it. All I asked, is that they refund my money and call it a day. They refused and denied everything from the needle to not knowing about fixing the buttons on the jacket. That is why I am here today. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. BAD SERVICE. HORRIBLE WORK. Went to go pick the coat up and they had replaced the stone without charging me for it! The star on the front of the shirt bled through the back and they tried to say it was from sweat. Terrible customer service. Unfortunately I can't say I agree with the statements of this place being friendly. The owner is nice and have never had an issue with him. Each time I have gone here I pray that I get him but his wife is always rude. This place is close to my house but after her last rude service I won't be coming back. The thing that bugs me the most is they won't let you pay with credit cards if the transaction is not over $10. Their suggestion is to walk across the street to an ATM. I trust them with my work uniforms and they do a great job. Prices are decent.
