Tu continues to amaze me with her kindness and efficiency. I came here to get my wedding dress altered. I knew I could trust Tu because she does impeccable work. My dress had a lot of layers and Tu had to remove the flowers at the bottom, take the dress up, and then add the flowers back on. It's looks like it came at that length! I'm on a journey of trying different alterations places in 92110. SERVICE: I think they're very friendly. Compared to other businesses where they very cut and dry, this place greets you with excitement. PRICING: compared to my tailor back home, this was expensive. I just asked for hemming on the bottom of a secondhand top I found. What would've been $5 back home (I am from the USA) is $20 here. On the other hand, when I asked for an estimate upfront, it was very accurate and quick and honest. It was $20 as she said, and $20 is what I paid. Perhaps this is an average price in San Diego for my request, who knows? Not I. WAIT TIME: I waited a week for my blouse. I'm sure they have other priorities, and my request was so simple that I could've done it. Again, I am still getting a feel for alterations places in SD and in 92110 specifically. read more

I went here a while back as my favorite cleaners closed near me. This place was nice and presentable and of course I was on autopilot when dropping stuff off, not knowing their price points. In their defense, i was quite irritated when I picked up my clothes and got $127 bill and in their defense,I dropped off quite a bit of stuff, but remember, I was on autopilot and having dropped off that amount of stuff to my prior, it was never that much. I asked to see a price list and was told they do not have one, so I proceeded to ask why it was so expensive out of curiosity and was told that she did a service to sweaters that removes the frizzle off and that's why it was so high... I never asked for her to do that. My three star rating is for that and for that alone as I should have asked for what they charge at drop off. My recommendation to you is to ask what services are provided and make sure you tell them what you're willing to have done and pay for read more

MY FAVORITE DRY CLEANERS When I first moved here I had to establish new-everything, including dry cleaning. I picked this place because it had high ratings. I have a few other places I get my dry cleaning done but this is my first choice of place and will dry out of the way to get my cleaning done here. Ms Tu is kind hearted and super welcoming and knows her customers by face and name. She genuinely greets me when I do drop-offs and pick ups. She asks me when I need my clothes and always accepts my quick turn-around requests. She does an awesome job with my clothes, always very clear and fresh and pressed neatly. We have nice conversations about "life" and "love" and I appreciate her kind words. The prices are affordable and a little pricier than other places but I still come here for the quality of service. Brought in a leather jacket to have sewn. Also brought in a pair of jeans with a hole. She listened to my requests and went above and beyond. Did I mention it got done the same day? Yeah, Tu is amazing. Visit #2: i had picked up a button down shirt for $3. I liked the length but it was the wrong size around the chest. So, Tu brought in the chest and now its perfect. Also brought in a pair of jeans which had a hole in them. She cut off the legs for me and made shorts. She then sewed on some patches and material for decoration. read more

This is a business I found near my house, next to my favorite taco shop. I had brought in a pair of old army pants a couple years ago that had a big hole in the seat and they were fixed up with a nice big patch and the color match was perfect. Second time around I bring a pair of old sweats that I needed to have outfitted with new drawstrings. Tu, the owner, mentioned she could put in a new elastic band as well, since the one I had lost its strength. She was nice enough to make a couple modifications after I first picked them up and so now they fit perfect again. I haven't brought any cleaning to be done here but I think I found my new dry cleaners now. Come here, drop off your items, and then eat two salmon tacos at JV's. :) read more

I needed a new drawstring in a pair of athletic gear pants. Upon explaining this to the woman who greeted me, she said, "You need to buy(the drawstring) and bring to me!?! I have had this alteration done numerous times in the past(I am a coach so I wear athletic clothing all the time) and NEVER have I taken it to a place which advertises doing alternations and been told I need to bring my own drawstring. When I showed her in detail what had happened to the drawstring and why I wanted it replaced she simply cut it to a shorter length to minimize the issue!?! Anyway, I found another location a short distance away which not only had drawstring materials but was also half the price($5 compared to $10) quoted me by this woman. Great service and quality alterations! I remember coming to see Tu when I was in college. After moving back to the area, I decided to stop in to have alterations done to a bridesmaids dress. I needed the dress hemmed and taken in within a week. I was assured that it'd be done in time. The alteration cost $75 in total. I thought this was a good price, especially in comparison to what my friends paid for the same type of alterations. She did a great job and was so so friendly as well! Great owner LOST MY PANTS TWICE But be careful my wife and I lost our pants on two different occasions on two separate drop offs. Decent dry cleaning but when I consistently ask them to not use starch they do it anyway. Not the most detailed dry cleaner. Not the most affordable either. I really wanted to continue going there but I can't have them continually losing my stuff. Last thing when I called there was no attempt to apologize or make it right by me after I have been a great customer to her. read more

When I first took the dress in, she worked so fast pinning things here and there, I was a little stunned! She worked super fast making the alterations and was in touch a couple weeks later. I found this business, almost 8 yrs ago, when I moved to San Diego, and even though I don't even live close, anymore, (and pass-by presumably dozens of other dry cleaners/alteration shops), I will ALWAYS trust my laundry/dry cleaning/minor&major alterations to Miss "Tu". I'm continually Amazed, every visit, to watch her sweet, genuine personality in action. She greets Every customer by name, as soon as we enter her shop. She even remembers the little details, like my granddaughters, job, etc, from previous chats. (Ritz-Carlton must've studied HER Customer Service, and adopted her level of hospitality.)
