I had had meniscus surgery a year before from another physician but my knee condition was such that I would need a tkr. I believe I made the best choice. Dr. Moore is committed to providing the best surgical outcome using the latest technology available. He is an expert surgeon as well as being very professional and extremely friendly. His professional manner and enthusiasm are also displayed by his entire staff who provided excellent care and attention. My surgery was in mid-February 2025 and it went extremely well. I would definitely recommend checking out Dr. Moore's facility for any hip or knee problems.

For my first visit to this facility, I had to see the doctor's PA, Carla Melendez. I thought that…read morewas fine because I have been in so much pain and had been previously advised by another physician that surgery would be the only thing to fix my hip. I've suffered for years with spinal pain and just found out my hip is in bad shape too, and added to the spinal pain, has been more than I can handle. Yes..I am overweight! Not something that I am clueless to, but because of that, she had already decided I was not worthy of a decent conversation to help me at all! She sat across the room from me with her laptop. I clearly made her uncomfortable. Eye contact was minimal. Her suggestion to me was to go see pain management doctor! She struck down any hope I had and made me feel disgusting! I had to wait for a note from her to give to my primary doctor. In the notes, it described a detailed examination talking about ROM etc. She NEVER ONCE laid a hand on me or examined me to even really understand my situation. I've worked in medical all my life, and never once made anyone feel unworthy for being fat. Hey..even the Doctor himself had to cruise through the lobby when I was waiting for her note. I suppose so he could get a LOOK at me too. Conclusion is don't go here if you're fat, they don't like helping fat people.

My pain doc wanted an Ortho to look further into my pain, but Dr. Novak just looked at old notes and an old MRI my other doc ordered and went over with me and said there was nothing he could do, and didn't offer any alternative or refer me to someone to look into my upper back since he couldn't help. I pleaded for anything to help with relief, and ended up getting a cortisone shot which worked like magic for a week, which means something is wrong. I had to ask for a referral for physical therapy, but cancelled my appointment cuz I don't want to go to OrthoArizona ever again and just got the referral from my PCP to go somewhere else. I didn't come in for a second opinion of work I've already had done and gone over with my PCP and Pain Management Dr, I needed a physician to look into helping figure out the source of the issue. A very short visit, told me things I already knew, said he couldn't help, then pushed me out the door. $200+ charge for the visit. The office manager called and left me a voicemail after I did their survey, and never called me back when I returned to call. Front desk staff was very sweet and helpful, the physician was not. Went somewhere else, and guess what, something is wrong. Do not go here. ****Update, 2 months after this appointment I went to another Physician and they found I have a really bad case of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. We tried PT, but it's so bad now that I am going to need surgery due to how long I've had it. I've called OrthoAZ numerous times to tell them I refuse to pay for my visit, and they will not call me back or respond to my emails. I've sent numerous correspondences, talked to people who said they would follow up, and left voicemails, but they are avoiding me and just continue to send me bills. Dr. Novack not even attempting to figure out what is wrong with me has cost me months of recovery, and his advice to "use your arm more" actually made my condition worse.

Dr Eric Novak's approach to a "non-surgical" solution isn't always best. Our daughter broke her arm…read morein March 2019 (both bone forearm fracture). Surgery went well but the rod was removed at 8 weeks (they wanted to remove at 5). After follow up xrays every couple of months, it was determined that she was not healing and a bone stimulator was our last option. Though that helped, her bone never healed, was always fractured, and the Dr Novak refused to do surgery. At one year post injury, we found a qualified surgeon at PCH, he installed a plate and within 6 weeks she was 100% healed. Now, 14 months post-injury, our daughter is finally using her arm again and working to regain mobility and function. Becky and Shannon are as rude and abrasive as I've EVER seen in a clinical setting. Pushing the patients through as quickly as possible. Bedside manner Las are in the gutter. If you want to fall Thru the cracks and be treated like a number, this is the practice for you.
