Did not care for the sweet italian sausage at all. Loaded with basil, which I do not like.

Such a great shop! My fiance & I visit frequently, we love the fact they rotate a lot of their…read morecheeses. There's always something new to buy or sample! Any of the cheeses are readily available to sample upon request. The staff is always kind & knowledgeable about their products! In addition, a nice selection of frozen game meat is also available, I would highly recommend the boar sausages if you see them. Chips, hot sauce, seasoning, honey, and more can also be found at the shop for those looking to add a little extra to their charcuterie. Overall, great selection of items. I recommend this shop all the time to those visiting Lititz! It certainly never disappoints!

3.5 Review What a…read morelovely, revitalized (previously, The Savory Gourmet) addition to Lititz. So many delectable condiments (pickles, mustard, crackers, bread, butter, sardines, beautiful dish towels, wooden charcuterie boards, candles, chocolates, salamis and so much more. Today we received a tasting of gouda, blue and goat cheeses; yum! Free Gouda samples (nice sized chunks too), for opening day weekend. These owners are serious about their cheese, but not very friendly, at least from what I experienced. "I would like to sample one of these blues, please." "Nope, we don't have that one available for sampling." How would I be able to tell if I like it; I asked. Five different blue cheeses to choose from, what makes them different from one another, I asked. The male owner, in a condescending tone; "What exactly are you wanting to know? Do you want to know the intensity of the blue?" "Um, yeah; I guess." The owner responds, this one is soaked in a liquor (so, I'm thinking; ooh, I wanna try that one). I can't though, it's wrapped and it's not a cheese already out, for sampling. "What about the other blue cheeses, what are they like?" Right now, my voice is quavering; is it not okay to ask what the cheese tastes like? Now I'm reminiscing about Di Bruno Brothers cheese shop, in Little Italy Philadelphia, PA. They have an entire store of cheese and the personnel behind the massive counter, allows you to sample, till your hearts content, gushing about their cheeses and inquiring how you like the cheese. It's a full on cheesy experience. That experience was glorious, this was .. different. Though I must admit, the shop's layout, offerings, are all very tempting - to include those chocolate croissants, behind their glass case. According to one of the employees, some cheeses will be a constant fixture in this store, but as the seasons change, so will some of their other offerings. Sadly, not every cheese was available to sample, but co-workers will allow samples of whatever was ready that day. Do note that the cheese wrapped for sale, cannot be cut into smaller slices and re-wrapped, like some other cheese shops. Requesting a smaller portion, may not be done. I say this because, I may need only a specific amount for a recipe or to munch on, with one of your many crackers to choose among. Good cheese is expensive. I was also looking for some fresh baguettes, but the only bread available were in their freezer. Owners aside, Lititz Cheese Shop staff were helpful and friendly. Whatever you asked of them, they obliged and provided cheese knowledge.

The orchard was so lovely and the employees were so kind to us and offered thorough and helpful instructions. They offer free samples inside and their apple cider is delicious! I purchased their meadow tea and I can't wait to go back to get more. I will definitely come again.

The veritable cherry on top of their cornucopia of fruits, vegetables, jarred foods, baked goodies, pretzels, popcorn, candies, and frozen foods is their Whoopie Pie Festival, which we attended today. The Festival runs on Feb. 26-28 & March 5-7 between 9am - 4pm. Essentially, you can create Your Own Whoopie Pie for $4 each, 4 or more at $3.50 each, and 12 or more $3 each. Here's how it works - make your customized selections of one of 12 cookies, one of 11 frostings, and one of 7 toppings, and Brecknock will build your pie. I went full Elvis mode and selected banana cookies, peanut butter frosting, and chocolate chip toppings around the circumference. We had a great time at Brecknock -making our Whoopie pies, playing a whoopie pie trivia game, and picking up a few odds and ends for us and friends. PRO TIP Hats off to Brecknock for their generosity and hospitality. They had free samples everywhere- whoopie pie wedges, pretzels, popcorn, and all sorts of goodies. It worked on us, because after sampling some honey mustard pretzels, we couldn't grab a bag fast enough.

Absolutely and "udderly" amazing! Our party of 3 all agreed…read moreit was worth the 30+ minute drive, and will visit again. Beverages consisted of: Cinnamon Latte (served slightly warm, but still very good, and a generous amount), Coke Float, and a Raspberry Tea. Soups: 1 cup and 1 bowl of Lobster bisque (hot creamy and a sweet buttery flavor), and a cup of Turkey Bowtie Vegetable (delicious and full of turkey and whole vegetables. The turkey chunks were slightly dry but still tasty.) Main dishes: Ruben sandwich (One of the best Rubens I ever had! The bread was delicious and beautifully grilled, ample meat with a perfect balance of cheese, sauerkraut and dressing), Turkey Club, sans tomatoes (again, perfect balance of ingredients with beautifully toasted bread), and a Grilled Ham and Cheese (good and well made). All the sandwiches came with crispy chips and pickles. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! Desserts: Meadow Tea ice cream with whipped cream and rainbow sprinkles- a total winner! The favor was impressive and worth another future trip! Guernsey- absolutely incredible with its hot caramel and nutty flavor combination! Wow!! Our waitress was super sweet and attentive, without hovering. She was prompt, polite, and professional. The ambience is laidback and surrounds visitors with a fun and uniquely decorated atmosphere. The noise level is average and space between tables is ample enough for personal and intimate conversations within your private table. The bathrooms were super clean and even carried the theme with wooden stall doors and ice cream scoop handles. The only downside was there were no paper towels to dry your hands. I would recommend stopping by this fun and quirky restaurant/creamery. If you don't stay for some comfort food or desserts, take a pint home. You can even sit outside and enjoy a cone if you would just like to enjoy the rural air on a summer evening. Bonus- if someone you know loves cows, ice cream, or comfort food- this place is a total winner!
