Lots of meat, tender but substantial roll, and hot! I got it sauced - this was new for me. I was thinking cheese sauce, but it was a red sauce. I loved it regardless ( my daughter wasn't as happy - not because it tasted bad, but she wasn't expecting it). We didn't have to wait to order, but once we were eating-the line was easily 25-30 deep. The eating section is called Amos' Place. The meat section is Stoltzfus Meats. A wonderland of fresh, frozen, and refrigerated meats and all the accompanying side dishes! I typically get a large roast beef sandwich with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and the sweet bell peppers. The peppers are my favorite and I always ask for as many as they are legally allowed to give me. Caution: the large subs are ginormous so I usually eat half then save the rest for later. The bread holds up pretty well and doesn't get super soggy, but if you plan to eat it the next day, I would forgo the tomato which can get a bit slippery. 2) Kom Essa features the best breakfast sandwich around. It's greasy, but if that's something you don't mind, this is a must try. 2) Mean Cup is for anything coffee/caffeine related. This might be the best coffee in Lancaster. I practically give all my money to their storefront shop on Harrisburg Pike. 3) Shady Maple is the perfect stop for sweet treats: donuts, whoopie pies, etc. They used to have the best maple bacon long johns (hear me out) but I haven't seen them there for a while. 4) The Candy Stand is nostalgia central for me. Pretty much any type of candy you can think of, you can find there. This was a staple for me when I was younger. 5) Long's Horseradish features the best horseradish you can buy in a gagillion different flavors and variations.

We talked with her about her history at Central Market, and her new location just outside the east side of the market. The storefront is accessible from both the alley and the first block of 12 N. Queen St. While making our selections, she shared how she prepares food and menus, sources ingredients, and offers grab-n-go as well as catering. We ordered eggplant Parmesan, which was absolutely delicious! The preparation was consistent and the dish was so flavorful. I'm looking forward to returning to try some of the other dishes that are offered. I think Alicia's is a great reason to skip cooking and just enjoy life!

I called the store and spoke with the manager. I asked about the store hours as well as Thanksgiving Ham. The manager assured me this is not the case, there will be plenty of boneless, smoked ham for us to choose. We pulled up to, it seems like a mini supermarket. Once inside, it felt like when the Wizard of Oz went from Black & White to color. There is EVERYTHING one would need for a holiday dinner. The first thing I noticed was the beautifully arrangement of baskets. There were multiple sizes of meat and cheese baskets, I never had a sweet salami? The blocks of cheese, were cubed and served to our Thanksgiving guests. Everyone loved the unique flavors that are not regional to where I live. They also had a pie station with many different flavors of homemade pies. I brought home a Shoo Fly Pie? Filled with the warm spices of the holiday, another hit with my Family. Now for the Ham, there was a wall of ham! Ham everywhere. I chose a hefty porker, it was very easy to cook. Again, everyone loved the flavor of the smoked ham that I snuck across state lines. S.
