Marshalls - $34.99 - Department Stores Near Me - Salinas, California

Won't honor returns with ID and proof it was from their store. They were rude and unhelpful

NOT a good shopping experience. Just a train wreck, every aisle was packed so full of stuff it was just falling off the shelves. So over packed, most resale and thrift stores are neater and cleaner than this Marshalls. I've been to maybe 6 or 7 different ones and this Salinas store is a mess. Is there a corporate? And if so why aren't they looking here? Why are they looking the other way? We get the part that you're choosing from a weak work pool and you get what you get but why stuff your shelves and clothing racks? Do you only stock once a week? Okay, I've spent enough time on this review. Last words...probably never again. read more

I genuinely did not understand what the cashier was explaining and was simply trying to make sure I understood and wasn't overpaying. Instead of being helpful, he seemed annoyed and irritated by my questions, making me feel like an inconvenience. It doesn't take much to be kind, especially when we were polite and respectful throughout the interaction. A little patience and courtesy would go a long way. read more

I don't find too many clothing items but they have a large selection of shoes! the line is always long though, prefer the Marshall's in sand city read more

I have not shopped here for many months and it was so busy. I saw at least 25 plus people waiting to be checked out when I walked in. Looked around for quite some time. In the end I did not buy any thing as the line was so long and I had to leave to get to my tire place to get my car. read more

The most shit experience ever long ass line just to return 1 item everything there was ass every item was on the ground and at the end of the day there was nothing my size and I got a ripped 20 dollar bill I believe the people working there are Just lazy bums it's 2:40 in the afternoon get up your ass and restock read more

This is a good Marshall's. We drive here from Monterey for the larger selection of clothes. The only negative is that it's always busy and the customers tend to be rude and don't ask before walking in front of we're you are looking at clothes. The checkout line is super fast as well. read more

This is such a fun store to shop at. Especially around the holidays. They carry a boatload of holiday decor items. And best of all, they are one of the few stores that carry my favorite glass Christmas.ornaments made exclusively in Poland. In fact my entire Christmas tree has only Santa ornaments made in Poland. Most were bought right here. The incredible inventory consists of so many items. Gourmet foods, pans, lamps, pillows, etc etc. You will love this place. read more

We went to the store to do some shopping and I was looking for a leash for my dog, I couldn't believe what a mess that section was, it was unfortunately a giant mess you could not shop that section, we looked around a little more and the whole store was a disaster, we left. It's obvious that the store manager doesn't care about the store, shame on him. Don't go to this store they don't care read more

This store is awful. No matter what time I go at the line is always long. They have maybe 3 employees working & 1 on register. It's also very messy inside. The managers don't care either they will simply ignore you. For being at a nice area the place has gone down. read more

workers have good and decent customer service. So I applaud management for good judgement in hiring their associates. As a shopper, this is one of many Marshall's I've experienced in this state that allows me to have a nice shopping experience. read more

I haven't been to Marshalls in a while. I visited this location on Sunday the 27th. I found 3 Christmas clearance items and I added them to my purchases. I was surprised by the balance due, but paid it anyway. Upon checking the receipt, I found that I had only received the clearance price on one item. Come to find out that if I had wanted to get the clearance price on the other two items, I would have had to have them rung up each separately. What a bunch of crap! Bait and switch? I believe so. If you are going to handle your sale items in such a way, at least inform your customers of such! Shame on you Marshalls! read more

I went into Marshall's with a clear plastic mask that covers my mouth & nose. The employee at the door told me that I needed a mask that wasn't open above my nose. Excuse me? Who the hell is she to tell me what kind of mask I am required to wear? That employee over reached! I will not be going back to that Marshall's ever again. I believe the guidelines are for face coverings. It doesn't state what type. read more

So this location is meh/ok. Not much jewelry if any. Ok for purses. (Low end designer) Ok for shoes. Ok for men. Ok for exercise pants. (Women) Ok for kids. Ok for home. Long lines on the weekend. read more

Love this place. It's great for any kitchenware you might need. Prices are right for a covid budget. Friendly staff, always helpful. I'm a fan since the store in San Francisco closed. read more

The entrance lady was so rude, she had no customer service skills like literally doesn't know how to have a polite calm conversation. It's understand if she approached customers with I apologize for the inconvenience we are officially closed instead of being rude about being closed, employees need to be more polite. read more

I love Marshalls. I get name brand items for cheap. Plus the employees are always very nice. I found some beautiful furniture for my living room and Jessica the manager was very helpful with my transaction. I spend almost $1,000 for 3 pieces of furniture. Such a nice bargain. Perhaps the shopper's aren't the cleanest, or have poor public etiquette but that's not Marshalls fault that's because it's Salinas Marshalls sister of TJ Maxx & Home Goods yesss read more

-love this store! -good enough size for you not to feel overwhelmed -organized as much as you can expect? -have to call for assistance to use the restroom incase you "bag" your items in there -i almost always go to the clearance rack in search of: -laundry -theory -see by chloe -joie -bally -suits for work -emporio armani -JPG -moschino -furniture -decorations -godiva chocolate -gummy sharks -kangol lol -hello kitty -italian made bags and shoes -more shoes for me 164 pairs and counting! -designer sunglasses -bedding -swarovski products =BESTEST THING IS NONE OF THESE TOTALLED OVER $180/PURCHASE read more

I am sooooo addicted to Q's tonic water and their KOLA. This is the only place in salinas that has those. I'm telling you... if you're a big gin & tonic person or even a crown & coke person---- Go to Marshall's food isle and pick up one of Brooklyn's finest Q brand products. sometimes they're even on sale for only $1!!! yumazing! read more

Really disliked the service. They don't honor wrong sale tags. Management was really rude.

If you go to their website, you're forced to give up your email address just to see what's offered. Personally, being extorted like this makes me want nothing to do with a business. read more

The Salinas store is a complete mess and very unorganized! Looking more and more like a Ross. It gets worse every time I go. Today, was it for me. read more

Was shopping there a few nights ago and couldn't believe my eyes or ears , still in shock ! Questioning and wondering what type of people they hire . A girl behind the registers NOT once NOT twice but THREE times told a CUSTOMER she was lucky she was on the clock . If I was the customer I would have thrown my merchandise and left the store . And 2 top it off the manager just told her she'd finish the order instead of scolding her . WHAT A JOKE !!!!!!!!! read more

This marshalls is very bad to shop.Seems like most staffs don't know how to talk and don't know how to treat the customers Nob.8 2018. I was wait with almost 10 other customers in the morning for opening. They open late but nobody said excuse and their 2carts totally block the way so customers have to detour but they ignore it So I said this is no good to one of staff near that carts Later on one of staff approached me and excuse to passing by .They suppose to go other way because I was between the racks Also another hour later the same staff approached me and ask wHo,s cart is this I said its mine and said to me all the time bring your cart with you Bra bra bra,,, I can't believe it I was 3 steps away from it besides I was between the cloths rack where is narrow also other 2customer was there too . Seems they targeted me Bad place to shop . People who want to shop this Marshall better watch out the some bad staff read more

first of all, the store is super messy like nobody cleans the place. the dressing rooms are just as filthy and people just congregate in there like it's another department. all the clothes are misplaced everywhere not organized at all. they could also do better with the brands, they have FAKE hollister. it's obvious that it's fake too. and customer service is sooo poor. the employees make you feel like an idiot and they seem angry all the time. i love marshall's but i would ditch this one for the Great Mall one anytime. read more

Marshals in Salinas is really dirty, over-crowded and noisy. It hard to shop because of the congestion, however, the clothes prices are worth it. I would have given this a higher rating but because of the compactness and the lack of staff assistance, I gave it 3 stars. Other than that, its a nice place to shop and to get some quality clothing for cheap, especially if your on a budget. The other thing lacking about this store is the styles, they are a couple seasons back and this can be a problem especially if you're into fashion such as myself. Head over if you want girl clothes though, they never go out of style. read more

I found this store to be even more friendly and helpful than my usual Marshalls store. Every staff member that I came in contact with was helpful and very friendly. Their selection is OK, but the place was fairly clean and organized. read more

This is the place to shop, friendly staff and good customer service. I can easily find what I'm looking for. Trendy styles and it fits my budget. read more

For being an out of towner, I felt great customer service. Not too big and overwhelming. Neat racks. Many associates on the floor ready to help. The cashier was pleasant! read more

Don't go here. Worst customer service. No body knows to say sorry. They took my cart after filling them for an hour of shopping without asking if it belonged to anyone. . I was on the next aisle.. and sad thing is no one said they moved the cart each and every employee said they didn't see any cart.. well found few stuff in the back of a counter no one is willing to admit they did it.. well not even a sorry about what happened .. well how frustrated that can make you when you loose your cart which you filled up with all the things you wanted...and it's gone... not even a sorry...wow... manager needs training... I have been shopping for Marshall for years and years... but no way... not amymore... I ended up paying about $200 for the half of the stuff.. I found from the cart the was scattered all around... they lost a good customer... going to close their credit card account too... hate em... zero customer service... read more

I loved it! Customer service is good, Eli, or liz lead me to the right direction. Thanks.

This Marshall would have to be the worst Marshall I have ever been to in my life or maybe is the fact that is in salinas. I went in 30 min before they closed worst time I know but I was going in to look at the shoes real quick. I found a pair of coach shoes on sale with several sizes. The shoes my size looked worn and I looked at the others to see why were they on clearance but they all looked good inside their boxes. I went to the register asking if there was a way they can at least give me a 10% off bc they look worn out from the bottom. The manager said no bc they were already on sale n that it looks like someone worn them inside the store that ppl do that but that she couldn't do anything about it. Seriously?! She even said they've been worn around so why not give a 10% or 5% discount bc the other shoes look in perfect condition and these looked bad from the bottom like they were worn in for more than an hour. The store was pretty messy too and the lady at the fitting room was pretty rude. I will never step foot at this Marshall's whenever I'm visiting family in salinas. It seriously reminded me of a ghetto Ross. read more

Love the items they have in store, manager has the worst attitude just like the employees, they are never friendly, and one employee in particular had the worst attitude with me who could not count and decided to roll her eyes at me and give me a snappy response when I asked her name, went to complain to the manager and he seemed not to care at all and looked past me instead of listening to me read more

So my husband and I stopped on a saturday night not knowing they closed at 9:30pm. Once it was that time, my husband was looking for some calvin klein under shirts as the gut employee of the area literally asked us to leave! Once we headed to the registers, they started turning off the lights! I was in schock by this kind of behavior allowed by the manager! Never again will my husband nor I shop at this ignorant employees store! read more
