I genuinely did not understand what the cashier was explaining and was simply trying to make sure I understood and wasn't overpaying. Instead of being helpful, he seemed annoyed and irritated by my questions, making me feel like an inconvenience. It doesn't take much to be kind, especially when we were polite and respectful throughout the interaction. A little patience and courtesy would go a long way. read more

NOT a good shopping experience. Just a train wreck, every aisle was packed so full of stuff it was just falling off the shelves. So over packed, most resale and thrift stores are neater and cleaner than this Marshalls. I've been to maybe 6 or 7 different ones and this Salinas store is a mess. Is there a corporate? And if so why aren't they looking here? Why are they looking the other way? We get the part that you're choosing from a weak work pool and you get what you get but why stuff your shelves and clothing racks? Do you only stock once a week? This is such a fun store to shop at. Especially around the holidays. They carry a boatload of holiday decor items. And best of all, they are one of the few stores that carry my favorite glass Christmas.ornaments made exclusively in Poland. In fact my entire Christmas tree has only Santa ornaments made in Poland. Most were bought right here. The incredible inventory consists of so many items. Gourmet foods, pans, lamps, pillows, etc etc. You will love this place. read more

This is a good Marshall's. We drive here from Monterey for the larger selection of clothes. The only negative is that it's always busy and the customers tend to be rude and don't ask before walking in front of we're you are looking at clothes. The checkout line is super fast as well. read more

I haven't been to Marshalls in a while. I visited this location on Sunday the 27th. I found 3 Christmas clearance items and I added them to my purchases. I was surprised by the balance due, but paid it anyway. Upon checking the receipt, I found that I had only received the clearance price on one item. Come to find out that if I had wanted to get the clearance price on the other two items, I would have had to have them rung up each separately. What a bunch of crap! Bait and switch? I believe so. If you are going to handle your sale items in such a way, at least inform your customers of such! Shame on you Marshalls! read more

I went into Marshall's with a clear plastic mask that covers my mouth & nose. The employee at the door told me that I needed a mask that wasn't open above my nose. Excuse me? Who the hell is she to tell me what kind of mask I am required to wear? That employee over reached! I will not be going back to that Marshall's ever again. first of all, the store is super messy like nobody cleans the place. the dressing rooms are just as filthy and people just congregate in there like it's another department. all the clothes are misplaced everywhere not organized at all. they could also do better with the brands, they have FAKE hollister. it's obvious that it's fake too. and customer service is sooo poor. the employees make you feel like an idiot and they seem angry all the time. i love marshall's but i would ditch this one for the Great Mall one anytime. read more

Marshals in Salinas is really dirty, over-crowded and noisy. It hard to shop because of the congestion, however, the clothes prices are worth it. I would have given this a higher rating but because of the compactness and the lack of staff assistance, I gave it 3 stars. Other than that, its a nice place to shop and to get some quality clothing for cheap, especially if your on a budget. The other thing lacking about this store is the styles, they are a couple seasons back and this can be a problem especially if you're into fashion such as myself. This Marshall would have to be the worst Marshall I have ever been to in my life or maybe is the fact that is in salinas. I went in 30 min before they closed worst time I know but I was going in to look at the shoes real quick. I found a pair of coach shoes on sale with several sizes. The shoes my size looked worn and I looked at the others to see why were they on clearance but they all looked good inside their boxes. I went to the register asking if there was a way they can at least give me a 10% off bc they look worn out from the bottom. The manager said no bc they were already on sale n that it looks like someone worn them inside the store that ppl do that but that she couldn't do anything about it. Seriously?! She even said they've been worn around so why not give a 10% or 5% discount bc the other shoes look in perfect condition and these looked bad from the bottom like they were worn in for more than an hour.
