The selection is good and the value is great. People complain about the store being a mess it is the customers are at fault. They throw items onto the floor and their children are little terrors they are not well behaved. I have said my two cents worth complaining to the parents to teach them to respect the store. The Chinese lady is so rude didn't let us in just because we had a drink and we were walking so there was no where to leave it at and they had a table in the front by the entrance and i asked if we can leave it there and she said no to get out if we didn't throw it away... the loss prevention was nice about it and told us sorry for the way that rude ass lady is.... read more

I hated working here. The manager was nice but a p**** and was too scared to fire the "manager" of the back room even though she was a huge b and was TERRIBLE and giving proper directions. All she cared about was going to work and talking about her personal life w the other coworkers that were up her a**. The head manager PATRICK (which i dont even know if hes there anymore, hope he isnt!) Would tell me my pants arent the right shade of black and have to be darker & that my shoes i brought into work were wrong. But would let the other "manager" come in with UGGS every day!!?? They also hire EVERYONE for the back room and DIDNT want to teach anyone else how to use the registers regardless if there was so many people waiting in line. They never let customers use the bathroom either even PREGNANT women! The time being there I did let the preganant woman use the bathroom. Sorry I dont care.. thats just wrong & that probably added the attitude the manager loved to give me! When i would not stock stuff as fast as she wanted, i gave her a smile and apologized that i will hurry, she yelled at me from across the store "its not funny! Do not be smiling!" like wtf lady?! Whenever the district managers came THATS when everyone wanted to be nice and do things by the book. TERRIBLE place to work with TERRIBLE people that do not know how to manage a store properly. & BOTH me and my friend have worked here and had the same experience. Sabrina the manager was not very nice or customer service oriented she didn't allow us to shop and see items another staff brought out for us she instructed her to take them back to back room after she had said yes we can look at them. This store is ALWAYS a HUGE MESS. That being said they do have some pretty good deals. A really large selection of plus size clothes and really cute Leggings. They also have California King size sheets cheaper than any other place I've looked. Check out lines are long and slow. If you can stand the mess and general disorganization of the store then you can find a few good deals here. read more

I had never even heard of DD's Discounts and so it just happened that I was eating at the nearby Jack In The Box when I saw the sign for DD's Discounts and so my mom and I decided to have a look to see what it was like. And to our surprise Mom and I found an amazing hidden gem of a store. Now Mom and I had been fans of Ross Dress For Less and Marshall's but DD's Discounts is so much better because they stock every brand you can think of from Guess Tommy Hilfiger Baby Phat and other famous brands too. And they also carry toys from Disney Mattel Hasbro and more and a huge selection of products you never even thought of from candy to holiday cookies and seasonal products and food and automotive items. I can honestly say that DD's Discounts may have competition in Salinas with Factory 2U and Big Lots when it comes to finding great bargains at good prices and I think DD's Discounts should be more known because like Big Lots DD's Discounts sure is an amazing store. You can find really great deals in this store but it is just too dirty, which makes it harder to be able to shop in. Not only does it make it harder but it can also be dangerous someone can slip on a hanger or piece of clothing on the floor and hurt themselves bad. read more

I love dds!! They have so much cheap stuff here..the clothes are not that great but trust me..sometimes they do have nice clothes from Charlotte russe and rue 21 and stuff like that..I found cute cardigans here for like $7 bucks! Worth it ! Plus let me tell about scrubs....And I LOVE the scrubs here this is the place I shop for scrubs if you wear scrubs u know how expensive a shirt will cost like $15 at Walmart and pants $17 and here at dds the shirts are $5-8 and same with pants..and sometimes they have good brands like dickies and cherokee brands that are like $20-30 when at dds are less than $10..I don't even care if the customer service is horrible and there's a mess everywhere I still love it here read more

Love the deals but you can't bring in any drinks (didnt see any signs)the security guard wouldn't let us use the cart to bring our stuff outside to load so we had to take trips back and forth. This place gets a two thumbs down for customer service but two thumbs up for the deals. read more

I love shooting at dd's with all the name brand clothes they carry at bargain prices. I had a particularly great experience with one of the managers there. He went out of his way to help me with and issue I had with a defective item and really embodied what real customer service should be. I felt like I was dealing with a close friend or family member. It's so dirty in here. Everything is falling apart, there are dents in the merchandise, things are dirty, more then you would see in other stores. It seems as though they don't hire any people for recovery. Also, the circulation is horrible but I believe that is due to hangers, clothes, toys, carpets in the walk way. They do have a lot of useful things there, just all dusty, dirty and everywhere where it shouldn't be. Didn't buy anything so can't say anything about the service. read more
