Almost all of the negative reviews on here are about the bad smell. But I just went in here for a few hours and it smelled fine. Maybe they got the problem fixed... Regardless, great day of shopping here! Found exactly what I was looking for for a casual summer wedding... quick service at the register. Clean and organized racks. And the dressing rooms were clean and didn't have clothes everywhere in stalls... you can take 10 things in which is a lot! Low prices of corse... Overall, great experience! I'll be back! read more

Marshall's is pretty clean, surprisingly. They have a ton of options and you can spend a good hour looking at everything they have. The only issue is it's quite unorganized. All the clothes seem to just be thrown on racks. They also don't have many staff members working there. When I was there twice this month they only had one lady on checkout and it was the same lady checking everyone out both times. I felt bad for her. I'm only giving it 3 stars because they should have the racks organized much better and they should let a floor employee help the lady checking out when the line is super long. I hope the lady checking everyone out gets an award or a bonus because she shouldn't be the only one on checkout. read more

Smaller marshalls. Same mall as a home goods and TJ maxx but sometimes different stuff. Next to Bed Bath Beyond they share parking and sometimes it's busy. But large lot, you just may have to walk a little. read more

Absolutely awful shopping experience! I went into the store to find a pair of comfy sneakers. I found a pair I loved so I headed towards the registers where I waited over 15 mins to checkout. There was one person on and THREE associates standing around chatting. Mind you there is 3 other people behind me with children and places to be as well. Finally, someone came over and offered to help. I unfortunately left without my sneakers because one wasn't the right size. The gentleman helping me asked another peer to help find the correct size. It took him 10 mins to get over to us at the registers and 3 mins to "search" for the correct size! Not sure if he even looked to be honest because I walked over to the shoe department afterwards and FOUND the size I needed! I decided I didn't want to purchase here EVER again. I work in retail so I get it, it's a bit redundant however, laziness is not tolerated. I'm super bummed. read more

Nice store but what a stink. Anyone can have a septic backup but this stink has been going on for months. It is sickening and probably unhealthy to breathe it. It can't be an occasional dirty diaper it is too strong and pervasive. Usually I love Marshalls but avoid this one until they fix the problem!!! read more

I have to comment on the ABSOLUTE WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER ENCOUNTERED AT ANY ESTABLISHMENT!!!! I have been a long time customer at Marshalls and their existing brands. I had the misfortune of walking into the Marshalls (Store #842) located in Middletown, NY. This is not about the unorganized shelves of shoes or the uncleanliness of the store....this goes far beyond outrageous! There were only 2 cashiers whom looked very young and uninterested in moving the growing line along. I was called to the cashier of Melissa, a young messy disheveled, unprofessional looking young lady (looked like she had a rag on her head). I asked her very quickly for the manager only because I wanted to purchase a dress that had two areas that needed stitching but was the only dress that fit my very tiny niece and I could step aside so she could call the next customer. She seemed bothered by the request and she proceeded to direct me to Tia with much attitude, and was informed she was not a supervisor or manager....so I again requested Renee the manager. I asked Tia to call the manager, and she very quietly and timidly called the manager Renee. All the while, Melissa the cashier was talking under her breath. I requested that she not mumble under her breath about me, and she continued to insist very rudely that "I didn't know what she was doing"! When Renee (the supposed "manager") came up, I proceeded to explain how rude and unprofessional Melissa was and while doing so, Melissa continued to argue with me in the presence of her customer, her manager and my family members. When I started to become more frustrated and upset and request from the manager to intervene, she stood there blankly while Melissa continued to speak. I screamed that Melissa should not be dealing with the customers and that I was talking to her manager, and Melissa proceeded to THREATEN ME IN FRONT OF MY FAMILY, HER MANAGER RENEE WHO STOOD BY QUIETLY!!!!! She stated that if " I wasn't on the other side of the desk, it would be a different situation!!" I moved over and slammed my hand down and said "what are you going to do???" HER MANAGER FINALLY SPOKE UP AFTER CONTINUED ARGUING AND EVEN WHEN SHE ASKED MELISSA TO GET OFF THE FLOOR SHE REFUSED TO GO! WHEN SHE FINALLY LEFT THE FLOOR, SHE PASSED MY HUSBAND AND MY TWO MINOR CHILDREN AND SAID "I'M NOT THE ONE BOO BOO!!!". if this is an example of the way a customer is treated in any of your establishments, I will happily take my business elsewhere! I am sure you can find a better crop of employees than ones who represent your brand in this manner. I sarcastically stated to your horrific manager " thank you for intervening and apologizing for the actions of your staff", she still looked at me blankly. It wasn't until I paid for my purchases (only because my niece wanted the dress did I purchase anything at this establishment) did Renee decide she wanted to apologize for which I replied "too late!". While I understand that the customer is considered "right" at all times, I agree that some can be challenging. I in no way claim to be right in all instances, and am not happy that I allowed this low class trash to engage me in such a manner, BUT, the manner in which I was handled and the whole situation was handled by your less than capable manager should be an embarrassment to you brand!!! If your management team cannot handle the very rough ghetto staff they have employed at this establishment, than maybe you need to get Management that can! Melissa was returned to the cashier to deal with other customers after my being threatened and disrespected! She would have been fired at any other establishment for threatening me, or suspended at the VERY LEAST!!! If this incident occurred with me, I can assure you it has happened before with other customers! This group of employees are an embarrassment to your Brand and I will happily take my business elsewhere! read more
