The Dynamic Duo That Brought Us Back to Macy's -- Cadeena & Jen! We hadn't been to Macy's in years, but thanks to Cadeena and Jen, we're already planning our next visit -- and only to this location. We were shopping for my wife, just browsing and enjoying the moment, when Cadeena spotted us juggling a few items. With the kindest smile, she came over and immediately offered to take everything to the counter so we could shop freely. It was such a thoughtful gesture -- simple, but it spoke volumes. She's sharp, warm, and genuinely cares about the experience you're having. Then came Jen -- oh, Jen 10, as we now call her! The moment we met her, it was like reconnecting with an old friend. We couldn't stop laughing. She was quick, energetic, and made us feel completely at ease, like a big sister just vibing with us. So much so, we walked all the way across the store just to make sure she was the one helping us check out. At the register, both Cadeena and Jen took service to another level -- folding items with care, smiling through every moment, and turning a checkout line into a memory. My wife had an absolute blast. These two ladies made shopping feel fun again. You don't always get this kind of kindness and personality in retail. But these two? I had haircuts from both barbers, very happy with the quality work. Nice waiting area. Reasonable priced haircuts.

This location is a hit or miss. Many of the departments are very messy and there is a few that are kind of empty and sparse. The bed and bath section is awful. Tons of pillows, $200 sheets and some bath mats. Nothing else bath related. Not much variety. Clothing and handbags/wallets is better, however, for the bags there is again not much variety. Lots of racks with Michael Kors and not much else. The Garden State Plaza location has a lot more options and carries a lot more variety in every department. read more

I love Macy's and shop there frequently. Thankfully they have made online returns much easier. You can now return at any open register. You used to have to go to whatever department you were returning items. Example if I was returning a juniors shirt and a mixer I'd have to go to those 2 departments to make my returns. I did go to the store yesterday to look for a dress and their juniors department has definitely been made smaller and their dressing room was not open. I had to walk across the store to the women's department to try on dresses. The dressing room was absolutely disgusting!!! I can't believe it!! read more

The shoe department was an absolute mess. While waiting in a long line to speak to the one rep who had some kind of headset on, I actually got shoved by an angsty patron. It wasn't worth the wait to get shoes in my size, so I ditched the shoes and left without buying anything. read more

Been at this macy's a couple of times to check out their dresses. Have a few weddings to attend- so dress shopping i went! I wear Junior sizes since i am a small adult. They had plenty to choose from. Went to the fitting room to try the clothes on- however was greeted with every fitting room stall being a mess. Someone should check it more- more so now that way we don't have to worry about touching what others have tried on. But no worries, I just cleaned up one stall and put my stuff down. Found the perfect fit. Now onto the cash registers: i signed up for a macy's credit card to get the 20% off. However for some reason the 20% off wasn't on there. the manager came over and offered us a discount of 25% so that's good. Overall good experience, and everyone is friendly! read more

Went to make a purchase at the store for Ralph Lauren cologne. I purchased a box set. Of course they package the wrong box set up after trying to sell me multiple additional items! If your going to try and upsell customers you should at least be able to package up the right product purchased by the customer so they do not have to make a drive back to the store to do a return! read more

This Macy's store is huge! There's 2 floors of everything you can imagine and never an employee in sight. Every time I have come to this particular store I've spent more time wandering aimlessly around trying to find a register that has an employee behind it, than I do shopping for what I want. I left the store through the shoe department and there must have been at least 15 people holding shoes looking around for a sales associate to help them. The products are hit or miss here. The quality and price usually don't match. I only come here to buy perfume now because I know for sure an associate will track me down in that department before I have to look for one. Overall, there are a lot of products here that anyone can find, but not nearly enough employees to help customers. read more

Always receive the best customer service. I was in need of a new fragrance. I asked John in fragrance for suggestions, he was very attentive and took his time providing feedback and letting me and my daughters smell a variety of scents. He helped me select and purchase the perfect scent. Went out of his way to assist my daughter with a scent she was interested in. We left smiling and smelling fabulous! Recently went here shopping for a new couch. We always forget that Macy's sells furniture. They have a really nice selection of couches and beds. We had seen a couch online but wanted to see it in person before committing. Our sales person (Lou Ann) was really pleasant to deal with. She first informed me that there would be another sale in May that would feature better deals than currently available. When we settled on the couch that we had seen online she informed us that it was on clearance and that it actually wouldn't be any cheaper during the upcoming sale in May. She cut us some slack on the delivery charges since we purchased the matching Ottoman. True to her word the couch we purchased was $1000 more the following day on the website. I did not plan to end up in this store but as I was walking inside the mall, the ladies that were in the perfume department pull me in. I am glad I did, followed my instinct, I end up getting something nice finally for myself. Customer service was very friendly. read more

Poor Macy's has been failing to compete in the retail marketplace for some time. However, they need to bring more to the table. If you can't compete on price or selection, at least compete on service. You can't half-ass it and expect to be in business forever. read more

I am very upset with Macy's. For such a huge corporation I was very disappointed with their service. I had never purchased furniture from Macy's before and after my first experience doing so NEVER AGAIN WILL I EVER purchase furniture from them. I purchased some furniture from them recently and from the point of sale to making my monthly payments it has been like pulling teeth. They had a promotion of 12 months no interest if you purchase with your Macy's credit card. Now I wanted to pay half of that out of pocket and take advantage of the 12 months no interest to pay the other half by paying with my Macy's credit card. I was told I couldn't split the payment evenly as they set up my purchase into two separate sales checks because I purchased mattress as well as bedroom furniture. Confused as to why I couldn't do so, I proceeded to offer to pay off the smaller sales check and finance the larger one. Now my bank has a minimum daily amount I can use so I offered to pay by check as there is no minimum if I use a check. They told me they don't accept checks or were unsure if they did or not. Now I know it's 2018 but last I checked writing checks was still an acceptable form of payment these days. They told me I had to pay either by credit card or cash. Who walks around with so much cash these days? The sales person, even though he was quite polite, he did not have a clue what he was talking about. He told me that this will be a separate line of credit from my actual store credit line. When we were completing the purchase they put me on the phone with their credit department who told me the absolute opposite. Might I add that this person was also very rude and condescending on the phone with me as if I was begging them their merchandise or as if they were giving it to me for free an they were doing ME a favor. A month went by since I made the purchase and since my Items were delivered and I notice I have not received a statement in the mail and when I check online it states the balance I owe but says I have no minimum payment due. So I call customer service to find out why and when will I receive a statement. Once again I get a rude and condescending customer service rep who I had to put in his place for talking to me as though he thought I was an idiot. Now I'm a well educated woman with 2 bachelors degrees and a masters degree and even if I was illiterate I still don't expect anyone to be talked down to the way he was speaking to/dealing with/handling me. After putting him in his place he apologized, but too little too late. Now he tells me my monthly payments are at my discretion meaning I decide when to pay and how much I want to. This made no sense to me as I would rather get a monthly bill and make my payments on time so as to pay off my balance before the end of the 12 months. I have purchased furniture from Raymour and Flanigan several times in the past and have never had such a headache with this process. If they have promotions of no payments no interest for 12 months, they split the payment into the 12 equal monthly payments, inform you of what your monthly payments will be, and send you a monthly statement and you the customer have the choice of making the payments so that at the end of the 12 months you're not stuck paying back all that interest because you didn't pay it off in the required time frame. Now who in their right mind would want to be stuck incurring all that interest 12 months later? Any sane person would try paying off their bill before the 12 months to avoid paying extra money right? After all, thats's the purpose of the promo, right? When I call they're telling me that I make payments at my discretion and I'm not going to receive bill and I have to call them every month to make monthly payments...if I want to. Once again it is 2018...I set up autopay for all my bills to avoid forgetting to pay and/or making late payments. So now I won't be getting a bill, I have to consciously remember every month to call Macy's to make a payment all while remembering not to go over the 12 months and having to pay all the 12 months of interests I'll incur if I do. Now doesn't this sound like they're setting me up for failure? The only good ting about my interaction with Macy's for this purchase is that the items I bought are great quality and very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. All in all I love the furniture...HATE the service. I gave one star for the great quality of the furniture. read more

I want to say that I definitely dreaded going to shop for bras as I think most women do . The choices we make are usually ill fitted ,not supportive and uncomfortable. I spent an extended period without success to fine the correct bra and was leaving once again why I just could not find the correct fit for myself. I was approached by a very nice lady named Linda from that department. Upon our meeting she offered to measure and fit me professionally as you are rarely accustomed and it went fabulously. I left the store with four bras and promise of a great fit. I did notice her when I first arrived in lingerie but she was on a register and know she had worked many years for Macy's. Linda went on to explain her position as a fitter had been since abolished but that when she could she still enjoyed helping out the many women with my problem. I ask you Macys do you really need to downsize at the risk of quality and service to a dedicated employee ? Employees come and go but sometimes you have a "Jewel !" Very bad customer service and store manager. I received e-gift card through an app where my company offered for health incentive reward but they did not accept it and wanted it on paper or card rather then barcode from my phone. They said that i can use it again. They were also afraid It was a scam but yet they had my Macy credit card and driver license stored it in their databases. This wasn't my first time using this e-gift card. It was the ninth times that I received these rewards and never had any issue with other stores like Home Depot, TJ max, Best Buy and Amazon. Racist hiring practices. My friend and I did an experiment in which we both applied for the same position. My name is fully Spanish sounding, and hers is notably more American. We did the same application, with her listing less experience and requesting a higher salary. They sent me an email telling me the position wasn't open anymore and then sent her an email the next day requesting an interview. Then when she declined the interview on account of me not getting one, they blocked her email. read more

Macy's used to be a great store where you could find fantastic deals using your coupons and scouring the sales racks. Last year they started the Last Chance sales racks, which occasionally has a good find on it, once you root through the torn, stained, or badly sewn items. Can't use your coupons on those. Now they have Special Sale racks, which you also find out are excluded from coupons. Let's be absolutely honest here, Macy folks, your clothing is outrageously overpriced for the most part. I saw cotton tshirts selling for 50.00! Crazy! No wonder your sales are plummeting and you can't staff your store properly! You have become too greedy! If you lower your prices, offer better deals with your coupons, you will have tons more shoppers! Otherwise, like all the news stations are reporting, your company will fail as myself and others take to using internet shopping instead! read more
