The staff is what makes me NOT want to return. Zoubaida asked me if I wanted a credit card. I said no no less than 8 times and she kept going on and not taking my no for an answer. I understand some might run their credit for $8 off a purchase but I am not one of them. As if that wasn't awkward enough, she physically got upset that I declined the offer. She went as far as letting out a grunt/sigh as if huffing at me that I didn't want it. I'm sorry but with many options I have to shop, I shouldn't be made to feel this way because she was unable to make a card sale. That is unacceptable and poor business practices. read more

The store has upgraded since I was in here last. The horrible people that ran returns are gone. And a new crop of people have come. Better shape now. This Marshall's is horrible. I am a personal shopper so I spend anywhere between $400-$500 easily at Marshalls I have never seen so many people so destined never to do returns. If you want good returns and you know wholeheartedly that they weren't worn. Try going to another Marshall's like Redlands or La Verne. Extremely professional there and be honest with them. Because this location sucks at returns and they've never done a single return on me and I have gone to Redlands Marshall's and had no problem !!!!!! Multiple times I came in with the receipt. And tags and still they said no. ITS JUST THIS LOCATION. Avoid it. There is something like the Bermuda triangle of customer service at this location the seventh pit of hell and just be WARNED when you go in here. just do your shopping done depend on them for anything and get out. read more

Five stars. I visited this location just after 9:30 am in a week day. I wanted to exchange a dress I had purchased at another Marshall's that I didn't try on before I bought it. I was expecting a poor experience, since I had time to kill in my car before their opening time. My experience was NOTHING like the others. From the moment I entered the store, I was warmly greeted. My exchange was welcomed and of course, spent more than the exchange amount. I always find something. This day, it was home goods. The racks were very organized and I was able to shop with ease. This experience set the tone for the rest of my day off. read more

I decided to do some shopping at my local Marshall's store. Everything was fine until I was in line waiting to be rung up. Cashier was not aware of their surroundings and left the register when I was cued to proceed to register 8. I patiently waited for her to return and when she did and saw me, she proceeds to tell a Hispanic woman who was behind me in line to come to register 8 , even though I was clearly there awaiting service just like everyone else. The cashier #1124 questioned me and asked if I was sure I was next. When I clearly said yes I was, she proceeds to say well I didn't see you... My perception of her behavior is she was assuming I was lying. She doesn't say a thing to me as she's ringing me up and proceeds to tell the lady who was behind me in Spanish she can wait right there and she will take her next. She rudely finishes my transaction and hands me my receipt. As I'm walking away to put away the basket I was using, I hear her say in Spanish to the women, I didn't see her and the woman responds me either and they proceed to talk about me. Word of advice to the ignorant, just because someone has blonde hair and is fair skinned doesn't mean their not in fact from Latin decent. Yes, I appear Caucasian, however that doesn't mean I don't speak Spanish. I find this cashiers behavior repulsive and out right racist. I will not give this location my business ever again due to unfair treatment by this cashier. I suggest your team has a retraining in diversity and over all customer service. I got a mug as a gift, when I made the purchase I said no receipt, i grabbed the mug by the handle and it came off, I came back with the mug in the the original package they said I can't do anything, no store credit because I don't have the receipt on hand, but I had the card I paid with. I work in retail I've done returns for a shirt that was worn and shrunk. Least y'all could do is be decent and offer an exchange. read more

I have shopped at this store for almost 10 years now. The store needs a MAJOR remodel. Holes in the ceiling from apparently water damage. Dressing room always dirty with trash on the floor. Store very RARELY is clean and organized. Store looks rundown. Staff is friendly at least some. I only come here when other marshals don't have what I am looking for. They don't carry a lot of merchandise. I would not recommend this place to be the first one you go to. read more

I am almost ashamed to be the current duke of this place. It was completely on accident. I'm just now getting into the habit of checking in where ever I go. There's not much to say about this place other than to avoid this particular Marshalls. There is merchandise all over the floor. The items that I was taking an interest in buying looked dirty and used. There was an incident at the layaway counter where someones items were lost. She complained to the manager and was showing paperwork that this is the second time it's happened to her. I won't be checking in here any time soon. read more

Purchased a sponge holder that didn't work out for me literally the next day and this Marshall's gave me shit about it. I took it out of the package with the intent to use it but it wouldn't stick to my sink so I returned it the next day and the lady helping me laughed in my face and said it's sticking to the cardboard, then proceeded to talk with the manager and come back to let me know she's doing me a favor with the return but they can't do it again because it was "used". If she would have looked at the receipt she would have seen that I had purchased it not even 12 hours before so clearly it wasn't used. read more

This store used to be so nice inside. It's now dirty, messy, unorganized & just ghetto. All of the makeup has everyone's fingers in it or is missing from the box, the kitchen stuff is either chipped, scratched or completely broken. The clothes are on the floor and dirty. This is a nice new clean Marshall's however, from the shoes to the clothing nothing is in any organized manner You would think how about grouping items by size right!!! Not this store and I have gone to all Marshall's from Ca to Nevada and I have never commented before but this needs to be fixed I also spoke with the manager as a courtesy I thought she would explain or address with concern but did not. I just experienced horrible customer service! The female manager was extremely rude to me! Let me explain what happened. My mother bought me a pair of boots for Xmas and she bought them in November. What's wrong with early Xmas shopping? Unfortunately, the boots had a busted zipper that I could not determine to be broken until I tried them on at home after I received them. The manager refused to allow me to return them to obtain store credit even with my gift receipt. Apparently, even thought the gift receipt had a November date, that was another issue for the manager. That's how she came to the conclusion I supposedly wore the boots multiple times and I busted the zipper. The manager went on talking loudly in front of the other customers who were behind me in line alleging that the boots were obviously worn more than once and she refused my return or to give me store credit. She even had the nerve to tell me if in fact the boots were damaged, they would be marked down and on clearance. I was shocked when she told me that and I told her you cannot tell the boots were damaged until you try to zip them up. Really Marshalls?! You sell broken/damaged merchandise to customers?! The manager made me feel like I was a thief and committing a crime. What a waste of time and money my mother spent on my Xmas gift that just went down the drain. I would rather spend my money elsewhere and take my business to another store where there is better customer service and can do returns/exchanges with zero issues. I almost left the box of new and unused damaged boots at the store. But why would I do that? So the store can go ahead and mark them on clearance?! I have no choice but to toss these boots in the trash. Better yet, maybe I can donate the boots to a local Goodwill or Salvation Army. I'm sure the boots will be perfect for someone with only one leg. After all, what good is a boot with a broken zipper? read more

I had to add this location just to tell everyone not to go here. I have no idea what happened. This used to be my Marshalls of choice but after a recent visit I won't be going back. The store was a mess. I expect discount stores to be messy but when I can't push a cart through aisles because there is too much crap on the floor then something is wrong, H-racks with go-backs were on the sales floor blocking merchandise. There were three racks on the sales floor and only one had a sales person working on it. That sales person almost ran into my cart because she wasn't looking where she was going. I had to push the other two out of the way to make it to the fitting room. I have saved the worst for last. I selected two pairs of pants to try on. I got to the fitting room and noticed that one had been worn. It had hairs stuck to it and wrinkling around the thigh area. Disgusting. When I told the fitting room attendant she put them back on a hanger and on the rack to be returned to the sales floor. I have never had such a bad experience at a Marshalls or even a Ross (and we all know how bad Ross can be). I won't be going back read more

This review is for the associate Celia E. I have no idea how she is there being so rude. I'm next in line so I go to her asking if I can return something there? Since most places returns and purchases are separated. She doesn't answer and just stares at me. I ask again and nods yes. Keep in mind she never even greeted us. So I return and my 5 year old is purchasing a backpack and says hi to her super loud and excited. She ignores him. She rings us up and just stares at the total .. she can't even say anything. I'm starting to think she's deaf and mute. My son screams hi to her again and she doesn't even react. I asked where there's a trash can to throw my old bag away and doesn't reply. Called the Fontana Marshall's store this morning around 11 am to ask if someone could help me identify and describe an item on my purchase receipt valued at $49 from a few days ago. The cashier tells me no I can't do that's it's our store policy not to give out that info. Then I ask to speak to the manager who's name is AJ. He gets on phone with me and I tell him I suffer from short -term memory loss in which I have a very hard to recollecting recent events. It was just one single item I was requesting help with my receipt had a total of 7 items on it. He tells me the same thing that he can't help it's store policy and that I have to come into the store with receipt and they will tell me. I say my receipt is in front of me I can give u all the info off of it including barcode. He proceeded to laugh and mock me about my disability. I also have a speech impediment and I stutter occasionally when I communicate with people especially over a phone. He literally laughed and mocked me to my otter shock and dismay! I felt so insulted and violated over his treatment of me. He also lied about his name telling me he was CJ rather than AJ and also gave the wrong number to the district manager. When I called him back to get the right number he hung up on me. Marshall's shame on you for employing such low, insulting, inhumane people to oversee your stores and conduct business and help with customers. This man has no business being in a supervisory position and gives this corporation a bad name. I hope they play back our convo so they can hear for themselves what he said to me, the insults, the lies he told me, and his general handling of the issue overall. The incident and treatment left me feeling awful about myself and I did nothing wrong. I reached out to corporate and filed a formal complaint in the hopes that no one else with my type of disabilities will have to be subjected to the rude, crude, lude, treatment I received and in no way deserved. I like this Marshalls because the staff is friendly and really make it a point to say hello when the are walking around the store. I read the other reviews about stuff on the floor.... C'mon people. I always see an employee on he floor tidying things up. Its not neglect, its quantity. They simply can't keep up with all the rude people that can't be bothered to watch their children running about the store. Customers are naturally lazy and expect the staff to clean up after them like maids. That's the reality, people. read more

If you're working loss prevention make sure you're trained right. It's a very sensitive subject and thus you must remain discreet and professional at all times. I understand people shoplift but guess what, not everyone who is black or brown does, shocking I know. I went in with my girlfriend today and rushed to the restroom, cause you know I had to go. I immediately got a profiling vibe by the staff as soon as I stepped out. Security literally "bumped" into me a couple of times. I then noticed that when I made my purchase the loss prevention personal was conveniently waiting near the exit as a preventative measure. For the most part you can always find something here. They have a good selection of gym clothes and men clothing . Women clothing not so much . I wish they had better selection oh shoes, but they have a 1 STAR in that department . This place is a hit or miss place but mostly miss. read more

3 star review strictly for the shoe area. The rest of the store sucks. The store is usually a hot mess, last 5 times we have been there. Clothes sections are average and some stuff over priced for what it is. The beauty and food sections specifically are a HOT MESS....hard to sort through all of that crap just piled onto the shelves, some messy and dirty and considering the shape its in how long has it been sitting there???? This store is awful when it comes to clearance sales. Most stuff is only 10% or 15% off. For me, clearance should be 75% to 85%. Also they take forever to reduce their prices on clearance items. This isn't my favorite store anymore. read more

I was reading old review, and I seriously never seen a problem and Ive been shopping here for over a year now. Maybe staff and management changed bc this store is one of the cleanest Marshalls Ive gone too. I even tell girl friends how the Marshalls is very organized compared to others ive been to. I usually go 3 to 4 times a month. Never had I had a problem with seeing clothes on the floor or have I found dirty items. Everytime I go which is often they alway have a different display as soon as u walk in to the Left. I dont know but who ever changed is every wk has talent they set up everything and they make it catch your attention when u walk in. It works bc I usually buy items i wouldnt of bought had my eyes not seen it Lol. The staff is also friendly. Ive never had a problem my biggest problem is liking everything and hearing my grand total :) read more
