I normally don't leave negative reviews, but my experience at Marshalls was uncomfortable. After I declined the store credit card multiple times (at least five), the cashier continued to push it and even had another employee come over to try to convince me. There were only two registers open, and I felt embarrassed because the repeated sales pitch was holding up the line behind me. I understand employees may be encouraged to promote credit cards, but customers should be able to say "no" once and have that decision respected. The experience felt unnecessarily pushy and made checkout stressful rather than pleasant. I hope management provides better training on respecting customers' responses. read more

Bargain Hunting Day in Marshalls - Episode 2! After getting a tip from someone at the Danville Marshalls that the Dublin location was even better, we decided to keep the bargain hunt rolling and headed over to 7892 Dublin Blvd. Right away, this store felt a bit bigger and was definitely more packed--with both merchandise and people. Clearly, word gets around when there's a solid Marshalls in town. The store had lots of good merchandise at reasonable prices. While I'm not exactly a marathon shopper (I tap out after 10 minutes, max), I did my usual loop and then found a spot near the front to observe the action. What stood out to me was how engaged and helpful the staff were. You could tell some of the regulars even knew the employees by name, which says a lot about the store's consistency and service. As for my significant other? She was in her element and found more goodies to take home. I just enjoyed watching the whole Marshalls ecosystem in motion--and hey, this one might've won the day in terms of inventory and overall energy. My girls and I like Marshalls. I don't care for their clothes; but, my oldest likes simple blouses from here. I always check out their beauty items and leave with a few items. They have some really cute beauty items for gifting. My oldest goes to a lot of birthday parties so I buy a lot of trending beauty items from here and it seems to be a hit. I always do gift bags and add a few items from here, Sephora, Target, and Ulta so buying items from here helps my wallet. They have some well known brand items that are more affordable than the beauty stores. I buy a lot of the Torani syrups from here. Their stock is very hit or miss; but, I am glad they carry this brand. read more

Makes no sense at all to me, wanted to try a slip/girdle on to see which size to get, the lady said "you not allowed to try that on" so Instead I needed to purchase both , drive home at $6 a gallon, try on at home, then return the one that didn't fit.....totally stupid!!!! read more

I LOVE Marshall's and shop there all the time, however I have small children so of course we use the bathrooms everywhere we go. Unfortunately this specific Marshall's bathroom is horrific. We have been in here multiple times in the last several months and it smells horrible and is almost never clean. I even went inside right when they opened, and there was literal poop on the hand soap dispenser. And I do mean literal poop. I will take a picture next time if it's still there. I am really hoping to see the bathrooms get cleaner because I love this location, but do not even live in Danville and drive all the way to shop here! read more

I have been to quite a few Marshall's in my time but the staff at this particular store are the worst and seriously need customer service training. While shopping, I was blocked 3 times by a lady that was restocking and she did not offer to move the huge cart blocking the isle so I could get out. After back tracking twice, at the third time, I asked politely if I could get by and she just stood there, not moving herself or the cart so I had to squeeze through. At that point two other restocking ladies must have seen what was going on and started laughing with the lady that blocked me and speaking Tagalog while they all had a good laugh. I was so irritated that I didn't want to shop anymore. At checkout, the checker acted like he was bothered after I rejected his offers to apply for the Marshall's credit card or use a Marshall's credit card for my purchase. After ringing me up, he just handed me the receipt and said "next". This store has bad energy. I wish management would care enough to watch staff interactions with customers and see what is going on. I would also recommend that they widen the isles so that people can get around each other. They are super tight and not a pleasant shopping experience when people are trying to squeeze by each other or have to backtrack completely. On the positive side, the store was stocked well. read more

Best Marshalls I've been to. Clean and organized (with the exception of the volume of entitled customers that come all at once and create messes). The product selection is way better than Dublin. Which means the clearance selection is also better. Friendly employees! Shout out to Monica for the assistance and good conversation during checkout. I went to Marshall yesterday to return a merchandise that was not opened yet with receipt that I just purchase a week ago and this cashier that helped me told me that I cannot return that merchandise. I showed her the package that was completely sealed and never opened with the receipt and she said that this items are not returnable. The items I bought are not returnable even though it does not say anything on my receipt about the return policy and the counter that I got it from. To make the matters worse, the cashier that helped me is not willing to give me her name so I could report this. They were not willing me to help me and acted like it's none of their business. I will contact their corporate office and make a complaint., Worst Marshall customer service ever. Your sales employees need more training on how to deal with customer service. read more

Came in to this Marshalls with my aunt. It is located next to Costco. It's quite possibly the Marshalls with the least inventory on their shelves. Half of the shelves were empty. Although the store is large, it won't take you long to go through all of the aisles because it is that empty. I would probably try another Marshall's location if the rare mood for discounted goods strikes again... read more

When I was entering the fitting rooms today Jenessa was super helpful and was very friendly and made the whole Marshall's process smoother and easier. I could tell she was under some pressure with other rude customers but she handled every person with a smile and friendly attitude. Also I've had many great checkout experiences with Jenessa and like today was super nice and helpful what an amazing worker, Jenessa deserves some appreciation!!! read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. The staff are insanely inconsiderate, very rude, do not know the company's policies and treat their customers like they're stupid. I went in to return an item that I purchased 2 weeks prior with a receipt and they said my item was from Christmas and that it was not returnable even though I had a receipt proving it was only from 2 weeks prior... the entire time I was at the register, I was ambushed with negativity, rudeness, attitude, lies and overall an awful experience that has made me decide to never shop at this particular Marshalls again. Been a frequent shopper for a long time. Almost every time I go there and happen to get one particular cashier (IJ) she is so rude! Just overall demeanor and way she talks to people with some attitude. Acts like you work there to know how the system works, if requesting a gift receipt or returning items, or an item is on the sensor pad, etc. I've had other rude cashiers before, seems like a normal way of customer service at this location. If y'all aren't happy, don't work here! We spent lots of $, so be nicer! read more

It's always clean in here. The shoe racks are organized and a good selection every week or so I come in. If you have the time and patience you will find what you need and more. I always come home with a blouse or 2 and some. The employees are friendly as well. read more

The inept, uninformed, female manager on Sunday Dec. 29, 2024 at 3:00PM in the San Ramon, CA store, says she has worked there for 15 years. Too bad she hasn't learned yet to run the store's customer returns section. Today she did not ask me for a credit card or if I had paid with cash. She said, they do not carry the Ralph Lauren label and my item which was unworn and still tagged, with an intact Marshalls tag, cannot be returned to her store without a receipt because many people at this time of the year commit fraud by returning items that do not belong to Marshalls'. Not only did she insult me, but she lied about the store chain not carrying Ralph Lauren items, she did not ask me for my credit card to look up the copy of the receipt, or asked for my driver's license. Since it is obvious I was working with an ignorant manager, I reported it to the Marshall's customer service e-mail address. Per a different website ratings, I am not holding my breath that they will respond. I graciously left the store and I got in my car and called the Dublin, CA Marshall's where I met Dylan, the manager, who followed the standard operating procedure and I got my return credit back into my credit card account. I had to choose one star, so I could write this comment. I doubt the manager at the San Ramon Marshall's store will be brave enough to actually post a public apology, which I deserve. In the meantime, who knows if Marshall's will investigate my complaint or not. But it doesn't matter. Facts are facts. Thank you for taking the time to read this and your consideration. read more

Came in yesterday and had a terrible experience with the supervisor Maria! Will never shop here again. I came in with my girlfriend so she could look at makeup. The makeup department is always a mess because people open things to look at them, try them on, or simply just steal them after taking them out of the box. That's no issue because the products are pretty cheap. My girlfriend finds one she likes and brings it to the front with our other items. Since there was no label, and the box was missing, Maria went to see if she could price match it. She slowly walked over to the messy makeup section to look for another one of the same item and held up a huge line. When she got back she said "we can't sell you this because it's used, we have to throw it away". It was immediately evident that she couldn't price match it, and was too lazy to give us good service and try to sell us the product. We told her that everything in their section is used! I have literally seen a woman doing her hair in their section before! Maria just mumbled something that I couldn't understand but the gist of it was "I'm not gonna help you." In the end we didn't buy 90% of what we brought to the register and will never go back thanks to Maria. I will say that the nice young lady at the register was pleasant, and did a good job. read more

Located in Danville, you would think this store would be better maintained. The grounds are filthy. There is trash all over the parking lot and around the store's perimeter. There are tons of weeds and trees that have been trimmed but still have the branches lying in the planter beds. Once inside, the store is unremarkable until you have to stand in line to pay. The wait time is insane, no matter what time of day you go. The staff is incredibly rude. If you have a return, they will act like they work for the FBI. I took back some shampoo that just didn't smell as good once I got it home as it did in the store, and you would have thought I'd dumped out the contents, filled the bottle with water, and was attempting to return it. The cashier actually stared me up and down before going to fetch a manager to see if the item could be returned. Ridiculous. Why don't you send some of those Bitter Bettys out to the parking lot with some trash pokers! read more

Managers here are terrible. Specifically our encounter with Siti and Rose. Came in and was purchasing a sweater that was on clearance for $8. The lady checking out went to grab a manager (Rose) who told us the sweater was not on clearance but instead $29.99 and that it was not on clearance. We went and found another of the same sweater in the clearance section that was marked down for $20 and told her that it was there error, which she then accused customers of switching tags. We asked if we could get the other sweater for $20 and was told no. A manager named siti who thinks she has some high power working at marshalls came over to only be a bitch and argue about not honoring their mistake. This place is terrible. read more

I've never had an issue at marshals when I go and a product is damaged or has a scratch I usually just see if I can get a 10% discount just cause if it wasn't damaged I wouldn't mind paying full price. I went today and was going to buy 3 cups they were all pretty scratched up and had damage so I just asked hey I wanted to see if I could get a discount but I was now entered into an argument about the fact the product wasn't broken and they won't be giving me a discount even tho the product was in fact damaged which would usually result in a 5 second conversation where the employee understood that If the product is damaged that you shouldn't have to pay full price. This was extremely frustrating because usually the people here are understanding. read more

Their newly implemented return policy at Danville , California location is terrible! I was returning a store-bought merchandise with a tag attached as well as having an original receipt. The item is under $20 within 30 days of purchase. In order to process my return , the cashier has to go through with her supervisor to verify if the item is in the system. As a customer, I felt very uncomfortable and offensive as if my store receipt was fake, useless and my credibility was in question. The process of the return policy dramatically increases the checkout waiting time . Now average wait in line for checkout is 20 minutes from 10 minutes before this new return policy implemented . Do they really need this type of the return process if you have a receipt, a tag attached, under $50 purchase, and within 30 days? The store manager should rethink about her return policy implementation !!! read more

I love this Marshall's! Maybe because of the area but they seem to have high end name brand clothing! It's pretty amazing. On other hand they are a little pricey compared to other Marshall's I have noticed, but worth it for what you get. The store is always organized! They have a ton of baby items from toys to clothing and right now lots of warriors gear which is pretty cool! I've bought clothes, shoes, baby, house and workout items from this Marshall's. to start with positives, the store does have some good finds and is organized for the amount of items they carry. the negative is they act like we are committing a crime by returning an item. This being the gift giving season we are buying things that seem good at the time but we should be able to return a product thats unused ,with tags and receipt and within the return window. I dont see any checking when they are selling a product to you, but when you go to return they act like we are there to defraud them. they enter the product code in multiple machines and look at everything with a fine toothed comb. In my specific case i was told the tag when scanned doesnt come up with the exact product i am returning although the price is correct. As a consumer how do i know if they tagged a product correctly? if this a criteria then they should have quality control while tagging and selling the product to you, not just when customer is trying to return the item! read more

This Marshalls to me looks like all the others. Similar quality stuff as anywhere else although another Yelper wrote quality was better. I didn't see it at all in the mens selection. The store like so many other Marshalls smelled like it needed to be scrubbed clean with warm soapy water. According to some other Yelpers some rude women that work there also need to clean up their attitude. I didn't hang around here too long. Not very inviting. I usually enjoy something well made but nothing caught my eye. They did have a great pet selection. I bought a stake to drive into the ground at the park to tie up wolfie on a leash. I have been shopping at this Marshall's location for years and every time I see her she's always so quick to help me and you can tell she genuinely loves her job. This is supposed to be a "great" place because it's located in real great and rich neighborhood. But it's not a really a good place to shop or return. I walked in to return a shoes that make my feet bleed. And the lady, who I believe was the manager told me I can't return the shoes. They won't accept them. But before that she rings me up, I get to register 9 and she disappears. Comes back a minute later and started scanning the item I was returning without saying anything- hi, how can I help you?! Nothing Then I told her that I'm returning, not buying and I also said "You didn't even ask me why am I here, just started scanning. Then it was obvious that she was upset. And when I told her that I want to return the shoes, she said that she can't accept them. And I just left the shoes with her and left. She did not pay me back for the shoes. So, my point is customer service sucks. read more

I bought luggage at this Marshalls, and it was with the thirty days of return policy, the luggage just did not hold up. I tried to call the warranty on this luggage, but went back to Marshalls to return and find a piece of luggage that can hold up to travel. They did not honor the return policy, and the luggage they sell must be defective merchandise. I lost my money and the manger in the store did not understand her own policy, first she said yes, they would return it then no. In the end I lost my money and threw away the luggage. Let the buyer beware of this store and the fact that they sell defective probably return luggage, this is an example let the buyer beware of business practices like this read more

This has to be the SLOWEST Marshall's in the USA. You can have only 4 people in front of you and still wait more then 20 minutes in line with 3-4 cashiers. When I first started coming here I thought wow there is no one ever in here. After 4 or 5 times and it taking over an hour for picking out only a few items each time it all made sense. The neighborhood knows you must have the time in order to come in here. There is no quick out. Do not be fooled by a short line because the cashiers review each item through and fold and ring up as slow as humanly possible. Good luck.
