I love this Marshalls! I love that I can come by on any day of the week and this store is always stocked up, I can just about find anything that I need and don't need. Prices are affordable and vary from clearance to high end. I can always find a great deal! It's special a great value for young ladies. Drop them off and sit at Scoops while they shop and shop and shop. Better yet catch a movie. One warning: Never, never, go in with them. If you make that mistake you will only do it once. Let them judge for themselves what they think is "fashion" while you get to spend $10 for a dress instead of $400 at Macy's. So, I'm converted. I'm gonna start checking out Marshalls and it's sister store, TJ Maxx, more regularly. I also find I really like their athletic section. Really, really cute Nike, Adidas etc. clothing for super cheap. I have this whole selection now of super cute. quality athletic gear, all of which I scored at Marshalls!

Marshall's, or the shebang of T.J. Maxx sister stores, are probably some of the busiest retailers during the holiday season. Don't even attempt to head there on the weekends in December because you will be stuck in line forever and ever! I have written several reviews on Marshall's and T.J. Maxx. Here are the "do's" and "don'ts" based on my experience in shopping at various locations throughout the city: DO - keep an open mind, because you won't necessarily find the exact items you want. In other words, this kind of retailer isn't suitable for "point-and-shoot" style of shopping. Please allow yourself to have a plenty of time to browse through each aisle. - check out their home department, especially when you are thinking about hosting a tea party at your place. There is usually a massive selection of mugs, kitchen gadgets, organic tea, and random Danish cookies. However, ensure that expiration dates are carefully inspected before purchasing any food or beverage items. - pay attention on the " add-on" as you are making through the check-out line. I found "panettone," a traditional Italian Christmas cake that hubby requested this year. I honestly didn't spot this anywhere else in the store. DON'T - even think about finding bargains on their beauty clearance shelves. Most bottles have been opened, pumps have been activated, and packages have been either tempered or destroyed by mankind. I was contemplating on picking up some of the clearance beauty products as my associates' stocking stuffers, but I quickly scratched that idea when I witnessed this catastrophe. - expect merchandise to be impeccably organized and sorted according to the standard. You will find non-clearance items on the clearance racks and vice versa. It is what it is. That's all I need to say. I typically convert my credit card reward points into T.J. Maxx gift cards so that I can stock up some of the beauty products that normally cost twice as much in a department store. For example, I find the Shiseido foamy or deep-cleaning facial cleansers for under $13. This particular Marshall's location is part of the Six Corner shopping district, on the corner of Kilpatrick and Irving Park in east end of the Portage Park neighborhood, accessible via CTA #80 (Irving Park) bus.

I should quality as a 0 starts, I am or I was a frequent customer at this location , and when I got questions or requirements and took to talk with the "supervisor or manager" by name Carla or Karla she has been super rude has zero skills with customer service she dales not provide any solutions just rude and unsatisfactory attitude. She is clearly not happy with her job! And pull over all her frustrations to customers! She should be remove from that position immediately, I am clearly not going to this store anymore.

I went in on a Tuesday, late morning, and the store was clean and well-organized (as much as a place like Marshalls stores can be). And it seems pretty average-sized as far as Marshalls stores go. For anyone who hasn't been to a store like this before: Don't go with a detailed shopping list or expecting to get a specific kind of item. They have great deals on what they have, and do have seasonal items, but there isn't any way to predict specifically what they'll have. I especially enjoy the cooking accessories and food/snacks/spices aisles of this store. There are a lot of fun and colorful cooking accessories. There are also a decent of allergy-friendly snacks. Like the other reviews say, there was a long line at checkout, even at an un-busy time. This didn't really bother me because it's discount shopping -- I am saving money on items, and am willing to give up a bit more of my time waiting in line. Customer service at the registers is all well and good. Employees are polite and not overly pushy about store cards. Thumbs up if you are looking to vaguely browse for decent quality shoes, clothing, housing accessories, gifts, and other odds and ends.

This store is in the Marketplace at Six Corners just east of the Sears that has been there forever. There is a decent selection of apparel here with good prices, but sometimes the frenzied crowds can cause some of the clothing to be strewn about and you have to dig for what you are looking for.

Bought a weird, but cute chick for Easter at Marshall's.

I have a question: Why are so many reviews to do with online orders, and not the store itself? I…read morewill leave it to the folks at Yelp to figure this one out and decide what to do with said ratings. Anyways: It is pretty typical for a Walmart experience to have lamps in the same aisle as kitchen blenders. They're both housewares, I suppose? The store was reasonable clean, well organized and stocked, no department I'd walked through looked like a tornado made its way through. However, it is noted their selection seemed to be slightly smaller than some other Walmarts outside of Chicago proper. On the one hand, while I can understand not all stores can stock every single item. Heck, I've seen a Target in TX that had a full-on Deli and Bakery department! My complaint is how tight this store is. The aisles, and even the parking lot were just about the narrowest I've ever seen. If someone is looking for an item, there's a lot of waiting that has to take place. Traffic jams... welcome to Chicago? I can't speak for the staff, as I didn't have a chance to interact with anyone. I was able to get my items, pay, and leave without incident. Half of the self-checkouts were closed, but as it wasn't very busy, the wait was minimal. Final verdict: As far as Walmarts go, it wasn't bad at all. However, this comes with the caveat that you'll encounter a hilarious amount of traffic in the aisles and parking lot. Would recommend?: If this is your local Walmart, sure, just bring your patience. Would return?: No, only because there is a bigger Walmart closer to me.

That being said - I want to talk about the LOW-LIFE Walmart delivery person who, rather than following the instructions in my profile [to leave all packages w/the security person at the lobby desk], they decided to leave my $35 pkg. OUTSIDE, at an OPEN GATE on the side of the apartment bldg. where ANYONE could walk up and take it, which they did. Closing the gate for the picture was supposed to make me NOT KNOW that it stays open 24/7. A refund is fine, but WTH do you think I ordered the stuff if I didn't want it? This person s/b FIRED. I know you need your job, but then you should READ. The delivery instructions were clear. If there was traffic, sometimes you've got to 'suck it up,' that's the type of job you have until you can do better. The alternative to being fired is to pay me $35.xx for throwing my order away.

Roscoe Square isn't a bad looking shopping center for Chicago's Roscoe Village neighborhood. What…read morestood out to me during my visit here is that it has two supermarkets which are Mariano's and Jewel - Osco. Other stores in the shopping center are Supercuts, Sprint, Petco, Toys "R" Us, GNC, Wing stop, Meatheads, PNC Bank and Orange Theory Fitness Center. As for my visit, I came here on two separate occasions which were to utilize the Red-box machines at both Walgreens and Jewel - Osco, plus for a TCF Bank visit at Jewel - Osco. It seems very redundant to have two Red-box machines next to each other, as well as two supermarkets in the same center. It would be more beneficial to put one of the two in another neighborhood versus both in one neighborhood, but that's just my opinion. Moreover, depending on the time of your visit you may encounter many of the Lane Tech College Prep students due to the campus being next door, so don't be surprised. As for future visits it would most likely be for TCF Bank deposits which I do like once every month, but since there are so many Jewel - Osco locations scattered throughout Chicago/Chicagoland with TCF Bank branches attached the chances of regularly visits for me are very slim. The Christmas tree was tall with different kinds of decor including mini gifts, stars at the top, balls and Christmas lights. It also has a gift beside the Christmas tree. This Christmas decor was bought by this mall. And if you're looking for a decor that has a fair price and has good quality you can come to this place. My mom highly recommends this mall. We will be back here after she's done at her work to buy another Christmas decor.

This place has EVERYTHING you need to set your home up from furniture to rugs, linens, bedding,…read morecurtains, blankets etc. Make sure you visit the basement which is a full-on furniture showroom. I hit every furniture store along Central Avenue and Belmont Avenue and this place was the best for prices and selection and it's also large and clean. Don't fear - most of the styles on the floor are very "Euro-esque" which caters to the clientele in the neighborhood. I witnessed a European lady buying couches in brown leather with chrome legs and tassels and financing it too. But they also have less aggressive traditional American styles. Just ask for Ali or Besam. If they don't have it in stock they will get from their warehouse in Elgin. I was looking for a very specific piece. My room is small and there is no room for bedside tables so I wanted a headboard/hutch with cubby holes to hold a water glass or clock radio. I use a futon with a wooden frame as a bed and I wanted a hutch to match. Ali and Besam found EXACTLY what I had in mind and it was only $80 so I was very happy. My hutch is sturdy, solid wood and made in Malaysia. It is nice to have a small locally-owned business in the neighborhood with excellent prices!

Hubby and I took advantage of the nice weather to walk down there and check it out what this store was about. Think about "Cook Brothers Warehouse," "Forman Mills," and those major discount retailers (TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, and Marshall's). "Save & Tell Outlet" is like a combination of these three, with the entire downstairs basement featuring all furniture. Since we were on the lookout for a bed frame, we took a peek and found some possibilities. S&T is having a grand-opening special during the month of March on most of their furniture, saving up to $400 on some of the pieces. S&T carries overstock or liquidation from Macy's. The old Macy's tags were still present on their clothing items. I saw some young girls picking out bras and panties. I wasn't that curious, yet hubby was and went straight to the section. He then reported back to me that four (4) bras were on sale for $17. You do the math, and I would say that deal was pretty good! I also saw name-brand perfumes, kitchenware, curtains, shoes, and blankets. Overall, it's a decent store for the convenience of neighborhood residents.
