I have been shopping at this store for almost 20 years. The clearance aisles have become dirty with things broken on the floor, and encountered the rudest, young cashier today by the name, Andrea M. She was loud, and completely embarrassed me in front of other shoppers AND coworkers! When asked to speak to a manager, she first ran to another co-worker, and spoke in complete Spanish so that I wouldn't be able to understand her, and THEN proceeded to get a manager! The manager, Tina, wasn't the sharpest tool in the box either! If this is how they treat people who are handicapped, I will take my money elsewhere. I plan on saving myself any future troubles, and shopping for the SAME items on Amazon. read more

They've got signs that advertise "75% Additional Off" Easter things.. but Cooridnator/Manager Teresa claims chocolates in the shape of bunnies and gummies that literally say Happy Easter are not considered Easter goods that are recognized on extra sale. Teresa made us feel as if we were trying to do something illegal, When we were simply buying products marked on sale buy them... the store and corporate have clearly asked locations to mark down expiring and holiday items to get rid of the product. She did the same with some candles that we had to point out where we grabbed from, which were clearly under a sign that said the markdown was applicable. I called to reserve a item that I saw on the website, that I really needed right before a day of travel. I asked if I could reserve the item, and they asked if I could be there within the next hour. I had no other plans so I rushed over, not even 15 minutes later, just for them to tell me that they had sold the item within the last 5 minutes. Note that the locater map with this business is wrong. The store is next to REI. That said, I don't know why I keep stopping in, probably because it IS next to REI, because I almost never find anything I am looking for. In 10 years I have only bought about 2 items here, and neither was clothing for myself. They have no selection in petites and I have yet to find the brand name bargains in anything, that everyone is always talking about. There are just a few name brands in any department I have looked. The rest looks like no-name discount copies, usually with shoddy fabric and construction. At least the staff seems friendly. read more

Went in today, didn't find what I was looking for but I found a NARS bronzer in a shade I use, so I thought that was cool. I opened it to check the integrity of the powder and it was cracked in the upper right corner (see photo). I couldn't find one in the same shade that wasn't cracked so I just picked one and figured they would mark it down at the register once they saw the crack. Upon checking out, a manager came over to look at the product and told me that she wouldn't mark it down because it wasn't cracked and it just looks like someone bumped it. Listen, a $2 markdown is not going to change my decision to buy it but I wanted them to recognize that the integrity of the product had been compromised and its a bad business practice to sell compromised products without a markdown. It says a lot about the company. I have worked for TJ maxx and as a practice, we always discounted compromised products. So that tells me that this manager was lazy and doesn't give a crap about the quality of items her store sells so long as you buy it and they get their money. I was so dumbfounded when she told me it wasn't cracked, all I could do was look at her. So I bought the stupid thing. But a powder is like a windshield, one crack will result in other cracks way quicker than if it was not cracked. It also means that it is no longer portable unless you want it to spill everywhere. So yes, the product was compromised and I am sure NARS would be as miffed as me to find that Marshalls finds the value of a cracked product and a non cracked product to be equal. She treated me like I was trying to pull one on her and get away with ripping off the store. A $2 discount!!! I have previously visited this store a few times a month for years and after today, I will not be back. Like, can you imagine hassling with these fools for a return if they sold you something that was compromised? I'd rather pay full price for the assurance that the store stood behind the quality of the product. read more

Store is good. It is clean and has a selection of very affordable merchandise. However, this is a specific review for an employee of Marshalls. In a hurry I didn't have time to call for a manager to discuss. I apologize in advance that this one star review will negatively affect all others ratings, but your store is only as good as a customer's last experience. All employees have been extremely courteous and helpful except for Evelyn. Evelyn, the cashier, is very terse and has very little in terms of customer service training. There is a polite and courteous way of asking and addressing customers and Evelyn seems to forgo all of that. Customer service is paramount when I differentiate businesses from one another even when I am returning items. Unless, actions are taken to address this, I will no longer shop nor recommend shopping at Marshalls @ Boulder because of my tasteless experience with this one single employee. read more

A trip home to Boulder wouldn't be complete without at least one run through Marshall's. I usually accompany my mom, who finds the most amazing deals. I usually find a pair of great shoes or a good bag. Minus one star for the complete renovation and reorganization. I much preferred the old Marshalls to the new-flashy-giant-letters-on-every-wall version that exists today. Oh, and the bathrooms always smell funny. Writing a review for Marshalls is kinda weird, I know. But I have to give them props for having some really good stuff...50% of the time. A good chuck of the expensive sounding clothes in my closet were rescued from Marshalls. French Connection, DKNY, Max, Halston... Not bad finds, and not bad prices! They have a nice collection of housewares (picture frames, sheets, kitchen stuff), and purses too. I found Coach there once! =D I had to take away a star for terrible consistency, if you stopped by once a week for 2 months you might never find anything. And another star for ambiance/organization. Granted, they did recently remodel and their shoes are nicely displayed, but the clothes are jam packed on super long racks and placed so close together you have to leave your cart in the aisle... so you can't leave your purse in the cart and I fear cart poachers will come and steal my finds right from under my nose. Sure! I do all the hard work and SHE walks off with all the good stuff! Okay, that's never happened, but it totally could. read more

So, I found high end designers (Vince, premium denim, FP, Joie,...) and paid 20% of the original price!!! Home department is definitely a place for good findings! My advice for bargain hunters, you should never go to these type of stores when you need to find specific item! This is the place to stop by and surprise yourself. I needed a suitcase for a trip the next day. It needed to be a certain size (carry on but still big), have certain features (pockets, not silly looking, rolley wheels, a sturdy handle) and be less than $50. I found several types with good brand names at Marshalls and picked out one for $35 and I love it. I think if you know specifically what you want and want it to be cheap Marshall's is a good bet for clothing and housewares. read more

Gone are the days I could walk into a low cost clothing store and walk out with a whole new wardrobe for considerably less the whole sale price. Maybe good for my wallet, but not for my wardrobe. This Marshalls is subpar compared to the plethora of Marshalls I've been to in the past. What I find even more disappointing, is it is the only Marshalls or store of its kind in Boulder (except for Target). But for ladies like me, who like to shop for new clothes and not pay the extreme price, you quickly discover which are the good Marshalls in your area Ross, TJ Maxx etc. Not only is the selection bland, you can often go and find the selection of what you're looking for wiped out. I went yesterday and they had hardly any shoes left. It seems that this store is not re-stocked as quickly as it could be. Granted it's not all bad, that's why I gave it 3 stars, it's just, eh OK. If you're trying to find a reliable store where you can always find your clothing and home-good gems, it's a hit or miss. It's just disappointing because there's no other real option in Boulder. I guess I'll be sticking with the thrift stores from now on. read more

I must admit that I am not the best bargain shopper. I often lose patience when combing through the racks but I will say that I have found a few gems here. Specifically some nice Cynthia Rowley stuff and some great kids' jeans for my son. I think this is the kind of place that you have to visit frequently as the good things get snatched up pretty much as soon as they arrive. I love this store great bargins!

They have some great designer apparel at awesome prices. Definitely my favorite department-esque store in Boulder. I love the way they organize the new season's clothes along the perimeter, and group designers together. Makes it easy for me, as I'm not one to peruse racks for off brand clothing. I also love their show section! They actually have great shows in my size on sale often, which is pretty rare as I have larger feet (size 10). read more
