I told him it was my first time there, and didn't explain how the selling used items to them process worked at all. He just took my skates and ID, and then looked them over a number of times, then he mumbled something about store credit from the register (about 10 feet away), to which I replied "no" to. He then handed me a receipt for $10 in store credit. When I told him I didn't want store credit, he took offense and claimed that he was "very clear" with me. Side note; we wouldn't be having that conversation if he had been very clear with me. I then asked him if for cash or check instead of the store credit, because I had no need of store credit. He said he couldn't for anything under $10, which is the amount he arbitrarily came up with....like I said, sketchy used car salesman. I would avoid this place of business if at all possible.

This place has also bailed me out more times than I can count when it comes to "gear failures" while playing at Schwans or Fogarty. Very nice hockey gear selection from solid skates, used and new, to the gear itself. Solid mix of new gear and used gear, along with almost all the accessories. A few items can't be found here (hard cover skate fenders, or feet guards for blocking shots), some visor items and compression/performance apparel. However, the major items are almost always covered - stick,s skates, shinnies, cup, breezers, elbows, shoulder pads, buckets and bags. If you're looking for somewhere to get into the sport, this is a great place to start and get your hands on the beginner gear with the guidance of a great staff and at a solid price. Lets face it, hockey is an expensive sport and if you're just getting into it, the price alone can scare you away. Stop here first and try things out before moving on to getting new, top of the line gear. Skate sharpening... it's a bit spendy for the standard, $4.50 I think. But, I've NEVER had my skates messed up here, and the guys ALWAYS check what kind of sharpen I want, and at what setting. That in itself is reason enough for me to spend more on the sharpen. If you have questions on what kind of sharpening to get, or what setting, they can answer them and get you squared away. For other sports, they do have a seasonal rotation that is typically well stocked. Overall, great store, solid location next to my most visited rinks, great staff, and the inventory is normally adequate for my needs.

I'm not all that knowledgeable on it but I'm sure they'd tell you about the "farm" it sits on. It's in a great location off of Bunker, near Round Lake. Parking is behind the building. Now you may think you are parking in a memory care apartment complex because you are. That's a part of this original Farmstead property. They take pride in MN. You'll find anything made by a local MN artisan here. There's a section devoted to just the MN State Fair. It may be stuffed to the brim with things, but it is organized well. Bath, body, kitchen, cabin, baby, faith, sports, fashion, treats. I usually want it all. And it's a great place to find a birthday or thank you gift. They offer gift cards and have offered basic gift-wrapping in the past (ribbon tied on the bag). They also host artisan markets to showcase some vendors. They gave me a postcard for an upcoming event, which includes food trucks. Sis and I stopped in on our way to the Downtown Anoka shops. But I found everything for my bday peeps here. No need to fight for off-street parking or the sidewalk sales crowd. Thank goodness!

Even trying to find size XL is challenging. I am not obese but am larger than a size small and I prefer to wear XL- 2X vs a large. I consider myself average sized. I had contacted them regarding a Fashion Party where I would invite friends to an event for them to shop while the store is closed. Fun girls night right? After I decided to book it, I went to scope out the store and that's when I realized that there really aren't very many options for majority of the women that I would have invited. I mentioned this to them and that I decided against booking for this reason. No response. At all. Fast forward to a few months later. I had stopped in and was searching for a top and was leaving with nothing in hand. A person stopped me (it appeared that she was a manager or perhaps the owner) and I kindly explained that I wasn't able to find anything that would fit me. I was bit embarrassed and self conscious (she was very small/fit and though I know that I work out and eat healthy, I still feel self-conscious about my size in situations like this) but not rude. I felt like she didn't hear me and barely acknowledged my response. I left feeling confused and embarrassed. For goodness sake, I shop in the regular sizes and at other boutiques... and don't think anyone should be embarrassed to shop for clothing in their size. I haven't been back unfortunately because of this experience. I've provided feedback via social media as well as to a manager to consider adding larger sizes to their inventory. I haven't seen anything yet.

Everytime I go to this store I have had a bad experience. I walked into this store . Saw the sign that state purchases and returns. I stood in line for a long time. When I went to return my Amazon package. The clerk said you need to go to the back of the store at Amazon return. Wow I said where is that. She said in the back of the store. I saw this small sign Amazon next to the rest rooms. Again a long line. One person at the counter and a person had 20 items to return That the clerk was helping out. When it was finally my turn I was upset and said may be when someone has 20 items to return you should ask for help. He said no one to call. Sure enough I became the bad person. On my way out I saw a person. She said she was the manager. I explained the purchase and returns sing is confusing. No signs stating where the sign for an Amazon returns. She said " at least you are getting free returns here'. I snapped and said no excuse. I left went out to my car and call the Corporate office. Again I always had issues at this store. Never going back there again .
