It's only open weekends but used to be just once a month. I ended up coming home with some cool little Swedish wash clothes, a set of new glasses with French words on them and a gorgeous2 tiered platter rack thingy. I also REALLY wanted to bring home a unique one of a kind French bar cabinet but not sure where to fit it into our new place yet. I'll definitely be back for more cutesy gifts (most likely for myself!) and to see what else they add each month.

My wife and I have been in this shop a couple of times and we both like it. I'd say it's probably 3 1/2 stars. It's owned, operated, and stocked primarily by a mother & daughter along with some other family members. Since this isn't a "mall" with hundreds of independent sellers, it's better than average because they're free to sell whatever they want...not just whatever small nick-nack crap they can cram into a little rented corner. Both the mother and the daughter are very nice. They're also dog lovers. This is reflected in the larger variety of canine themed antiques you can find sprinkled throughout the store. My wife and I get a kick out of this since we love dogs too. BTW, I talked to them about the previous negative review on Yelp. They told me that they have a policy of not buying anything from people who walk-in off the street. They have this policy out of a concern about not accidentally buying stolen merchandise. So they never buy from people who just come in with something, no matter what it is or how good it looks. Anyway... Plus I like how they create cute vignettes to display them. I don't visit the clothing or shoe dept, but I can see (from a distance) that they have a wide assortment. There are always folks going through the racks. I spend most of my time in the home decor section. There's an aisle dedicated to 50% off clearance items. Then there are several aisles with normal (thrift) priced goods. The shelves can be a bit cluttered, especially in the kitchenware, cup, coffee machine area. If you're looking for a complete fine china dinnerware set I've often seen them here (4+ settings). Overall I think they have a good selection, so they're worth checking out. The only cons are: 1)the entrance is very cluttered (a hoarders dream), and 2)the store can use some type of air deodorizer to help with the stale odor.

Don't go there cuz you might buy something I want…read more I bought two Eames vintage chairs, a vintage stainless steel rolling cart so we can put stuff on it (coffee, liquor, food) and roll it around the house. I also bought two vintages designer lights and a couple pieces of glass labware to put cocktails in and put on the rolling cart to roll around the house (see above). I also bought a very cool looking gumball machine where you push down a little lever and a gumball comes out.** **I have put real gumballs and M&M peanuts in this thing and it has yet to spit out a gumball. It's pretty cool, though. OK, these guys have vintage cocktail glasses and shakers (do you see a problem here?) and more labware that I might buy. And a couple great vintage stands from a chemistry lab that has lots of clamps for test tubes. I'm trying to justify this one. My god!! They have two gigantic overhead light fixtures on rolling frames. If you live in one of those hoity-toity warehouses there is no excuse not to buy these. O, VINYL RECORDS YOU PEOPLE. SOUNDTRACK ALERT!! Endless Boogie was playing on their sound system. New favorite band. Ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump (Jaws) they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from about noon on.

I've got antique store in my blood (legitimately, not a turn of phrase: my paternal grandma used to own one), so I'm drawn to this kind of place, especially as thrifting/buying used is more environmentally-friendly (and we as a society desperately need to shift gears away from fast fashion). Immediately upon entry I glimpsed the signs that this place was inclusive of me and those like me. The pride flag, the genderless toilets marked humorously with "whatever" signs. I was drawn in. You can tell that a lot of the consignment owners put a good deal of effort into making each of their "cubicles" stand out and have individuality that matches their brand. Seeing as I was here at the tail end of September, that meant many of the booths were spooky-themed and/or had Halloween items for sale. Dangerous for anyone who's a fan of the holiday. I definitely plan to come back AFTER Halloween and see what Christmas decorations take their place! It'll probably feel like an entirely different experience dependent on the season! Anyway, the cool thing about a place like this (if you've never been to one) is that you don't have to worry about keeping track of which store you picked up what item from. They have tags on each item so the employee at the checkout counter can sort all that for you and collect a single amount from you to distribute appropriately among their consignment sellers. I noticed they have baskets you can grab to help you shop (also dangerous, lol) because this place is QUITE expansive and winding. Be sure to check around each nook and cranny to see it all! (But also keep in mind, stock will always be rotating, so there'll always be new things to see.) There's lots of clothes and apparel accessories, of course, but also lots of home decor items, media like books, CDs, VHS, records, etc., toys and more. Really you gotta go see it for yourself. You'll be wandering about in something akin to awe! I would say the prices are okay. This isn't a place you're going to find big bargains. But you won't get gouged either. It's a place to discover something from your childhood and reclaim it for a reasonable finder's fee, essentially. Long story short, I killed more than forty-five minutes here, well over what I needed, hahaha, and came out with a couple cute clown-themed things to add to my growing collection. Hooray! Also neat is that they have a coffee shop in the back that also serves things like pastries and sodas for a very reasonable price. This area is spacious with lots of seating; clearly it's meant as a place to gather and hangout with friends. They even had an NES set up on a TV to play if you wanted. Very queer-friendly. It probably deserves its own separate review.

Frank & Bessie's Attic is a very nice antique store with quality merchandise…read more FBA isn't very big. But it's packed with high quality, unique merchandise at very reasonable prices (see photos). Everything is clean, organized, and displayed nicely. Don't forget to checkout the 2nd floor balcony area. There are more goodies up there. I'd say that around 25% of the store is merchandise that wouldn't be considered an antique. I usually don't like this stuff but FBA does a good job. There are a few vendor areas with reproduction signs, bird houses, hand-made signs, and that sort of thing. But there's also a giant wall of high quality specialty cooking oils and vinegars in front - very cool. There's some amazing functional art on the front desk. There are instruments (and a pipe sculpture) converted into functional lamp art. I usually don't like this stuff. (I've seen other shops where someone shoves a light bulb on something old and tries to sell it.) But this artist, Charlie Fiss, is crazy talented -- amazing stuff! In particular, there was an awesome violin lamp with color changing LEDs (with a remote), a USB charger in the base, and a blue tooth speaker hidden in the violin so you can play music. The pipe sculpture lamp was pretty darn cool too. It had all kinds of doo-dads, knobs, switches, an old fuse, a digital readout, and an analog clock. Charlie - you rock! As a final note, the owner is really nice. My wife and I really enjoyed talking to her. Ironically, this building was built by her grandparents, and she has their photo proudly hanging by the front entry door. Unfortunately, it sounds like the city wants to buy this building so they can demolish everything and "develop" the land. Really? Do they need some junky condos or a crappy strip mall near the river? We were greeted by their amazingly friendly shiba and cats ( if you are allergic to cats or dogs I wouldn't go ). The owner was friendly and let us take our time to check out all the treasures. Everything was reasonably priced and we walked out with some new friends. I'd highly recommend this spot and I plan on going again soon.

Worth the stop - 4 stars…read more Pine Creek is an antique store right on the main drag in the old town part of North Branch. It's a lot bigger than it looks like on the outside. The whole thing is shaped like a giant "L" and it actually has 2 separate entrances. This is a traditional mall type antique store with multiple vendors. The store also has quite a few "house" items that are owned by the store. The reason I know this is because the item I picked wasn't marked and they happened to mention that it's a house piece when they were trying to figure out the price. The shop is well organized, clean, and displayed nicely. The prices all seem super reasonable. And the staff members are nice people. I had a pleasant chat with the owners about the long history of the building...very interesting. One of the main things I like about this place is it actually has antiques! There are very few new items. By far, nearly everything is what I'd consider antique or vintage. One notable exception is a vendor that seems to be preoccupied with Christmas items, most of which looked like modern products. Not my thing but I suppose there are people that dig this.
