The second time I had more of what I saw around the store but they took nothing. The young woman said it was because they were items that weren't currently selling or condition. I'm not sure how a basic black skirt won't sell, but OK. I will admit that many of the items I brought aren't obvious US brands. Let this be a warning to anyone looking to consign, check what brands they are willing to take before trying to consign here because if its not a known brand, they aren't buying.

Hoping they might be able to reintroduce that moody vibe from their first shop, but I think that will come with time as they settle in. I do kinda wish it was on the first floor because I'm worried being on the second floor means they may not get as much walk through traffic and would love to see them thrive here. They *still* do not use price tags so you either have to ask or check their website for prices unfortunately. On the plus side parking is much easier in their new space and still free.

Um...WHOA?! I've…read moreheard about this store from friends before, but thought it was just a fancy menswear store. Well boy, was I wrong. I stopped in a few days before Christmas, and I actually had a few things yet I wanted to get my grandpa, so this worked out great. At the entrance - and throughout the store - I found free hot coffee, tea, refreshments, cookies, and treats. Maybe it's just a holiday thing but I loved the hospitality. The space is HUGE - so much more than clothes! I had no idea. They have: - books and coffee table books - a whole room dedicated to perfume/cologne and scents - a whole area for cocktail-related gifts - home decor, tableware, and interior decor items - kitschy smaller giftables that were organized by theme (work/office, hosting, etc.) - menswear and womenswear - jewelry - candles - and so much more! I genuinely believe you can walk in here and be sure to find something for anyone on your gifting list. The service was incredible: lots of welcomes and greetings, and staff there to help you if you need it. Oh, they even have a room you can reserve while shopping?! FANCY!

I am part of a large, semi-formal wedding in Atlanta. The function is laden with "pomp and…read morecircumstance" that might give me hives. However, a close friend is diving in for his third, and I applaud his happiness. I won't wear a tuxedo, but I needed to have a suit made that would make the bride and the 400 attendees comfortable. The bride already told me not to don a fedora or pink sneakers, although I wanted to. Todd Fliginger at Martin Patrick took me under his wing. Todd is amazingly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. He sent swatches to Milwaukee before we moved to Minneapolis. Tailors were brought in, especially the master tailor Robert, not only to measure, but also to have me try on different designers' pieces to see what would fit well. I am a difficult fit, with a body more like a penguin than a human. That's what a custom tailor in NYC told me. However, I don't nosh on Krill. Todd and Robert took hours to get a correct fit and guaranteed that I would look good. Todd even saved me several hundred dollars off the original quote. ADDENDUM: My suit arrived, and it looked amazing. A few alterations are required to ensure a perfect fit, but that's it. I had a suit made on Savile Row in London that cost more than three times this suit's price, and it did not fit as well. This store should be on every list of Minneapolis's sightseeing highlights. It is akin to a design museum. Everything at Martin Patrick--furniture and furnishings--is for sale, and they're all amazing! Martin Patrick 3 is down-to-earth sophistication, with a NYC or Parisian vibe. Yet, the staff is Midwest empathetic. It is a Minneapolis treasure, as is Todd. I might not be looking forward to this wedding, but at least I know I will look my best.

I have purchased several items from here for my daughter and she always gets compliments on them. Yes they may be a little more expensive than the department store but you are getting something different than off the rack at Nordstroms or Macy's. The idea is to stand out from the crowd. The first time we visited we did have the pleasure of meeting the big black lab and that won me over because I have a black lab also so of course I got along with the staff as we are fellow dog lovers and appreciate cute clothes.... The have quick turn around on the clothes so if you see something you like---you better not wait to get it...

They fit all wrong and weren't flattering....all for the bargain price of $230! I was mostly put off when she kept raving how great I looked, and I kept wanting to ask are we looking in the same mirror? Somebody was trying to make a sale, and I felt it. In general, I thought everything was over priced and trying too hard to be trendy. Nothing really reasonably priced to pick up for fun, though I didn't feel that I found much that really fit my body or my style. I did pick up a super cute dress by a local designer for $50 at Drama next door though!

I had a pretty crummy experience at June today, the Edina location…read more I went in with about 15 Karen Millen dresses and blazers, sizes 8 and 6, freshly dry cleaned and in very good condition. The owner (I assume she was the owner) looked them over while I looked around the store. When I went back up to the front, all she said was, "I'll pass." I was a bit surprised, so I said, "Can I ask why?" She said, "They have a strong dry cleaning smell, so maybe if you put them in the backyard or something." (I smelled them again and I honestly don't smell anything, but whatever.) I said, "Okay, so if I do that... is there anything here you'd take? Because I don't want to do all of that and lug everything back and you're just not interested." She very curtly said, "I don't know, I didn't really look." No smile, no "thanks for coming in." (Her associate who was working there was nice.) The whole time, she was just very curt and abrasive with me. And even though I was there to try to sell clothes, if she had treated me like that if I had walked in there to buy clothes, I would have NEVER bought anything from her. I definitely would have felt unwelcome and walked out. My negative review is not based on her decision not to buy my clothes. That's totally her decision - I was disappointed, but that's fine. My negative review is based on how she treated me. I felt she was very rude to me the whole time. I will not try to sell anything there anymore, nor will I go in to buy anything either. (The owner will probably do a reply on this review, and that's fine. I believe that my review is objective of what happened, and readers can make their own decision.)

It's across the street from our all-time favorite ice cream shop, Crema, so it's not as if she had to twist my arm. However! It took us several tries, due to their 6pm closing time, before we finally got in. I geeked out big time, I'll admit it. Minneapolis is the best, I repeat, the BEST city for vintage clothing (affordable, and otherwise) and June is a great addition to my usual rotation of secondhand stores. The owner, Daune, is really sweet, and the dressing rooms have two very important elements: red velvet curtains and flattering light. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE SHOE RACK OH MAH GOD IT IS AMAZING. Seriously. For serious. Seriously. No, I'm really serious about this: Manolo Blahnik, D&G, Marc Jacobs, Ferragamo, Christian Louboutin, Te Casan...most run for less than $100 and are presented beautifully on high, white shelves in the back room. Great purses and wallets (Vivienne Westwood...oooooooooh), though those will cost you a pretty penny. The clothing racks are full of great finds, albeit some questionable ones (what is a Guess? denim miniskirt doing next to Oscar de la Renta?), but there's no way you'll leave here empty-handed. I bought: Marc Jacobs Black Nubuck Mary Janes ($45) Anna Sui Black Lace Goth-Style Dress ($55) Gold Sunburst Cocktail Ring with Blue Stone ($20) Do...you...have...ANY...idea...how much these items would cost in a New York high-end vintage shop? Hot damn. You lucky, lucky folks. It's places like these that keep me coming back for more...
